Sorry, that I've been absent a lot, I'll try to do better.

    Question

Will Easter chocolate be an issue this weekend? No

What is your plan to handle the Easter treats?
I live alone, no children, or family, so there won't be any issues.

Would love to see you pop by more often. I always opem mfp while I drink my second cup of coffee.

Will Easter candy be an issue? Nope. I have had it around the house for a month now. Dairy is a throat punch so commercial chocolate is not appetizing. I plan on sugaring up the grand.

I have a ton of chocolate for my granddaughters. I sent money to Scotland for the two over there. My daughter has been told she must buy them chocolate as it’s a grandmother’s right. 😂

We don't have kids and my hubby has been doing no sugar since Jan 1 so it shouldn't be a problem. But I would love candy. Jellybeans. Also, I typically love spring baking - carrot cake, coconut cake, cinnamon rolls, etc. I really would love to bake but since hubby is off sugar and I'm doing vegan diet, I won't bake this easter. Makes me a little sad as I love baking and holiday traditions but I'll live.

I am so glad I am a terrible baker. I would be a 100 pounds heavier. My poor husband only gets baking if my daughter or friend sends him treats. Are you avoiding sugar also?

Holy whoosh! I am shocked. This week I tried to be aware of moving more. I reached my increased step goal everyday but one and that was the day of the silent retreat. My granddaughter is over today and we are going to the pool. I am going stir crazy as I haven’t left the apartment since Saturday.

As for the Easter treat question I asked:
I had my husband hid all the Easter treats I bought for the grandkids as last year I ate everything I bought and had to buy more. I found it when cleaning a few days ago but stayed away. We are going for fish and chips tonight. I plan on only eating half a piece and half the fries. I will be mindful of what I eat on Sunday.

WOWZERS! This is indeed a WHOOOOOSSHHHH! So excited for you!

I am doing a mindfulness based group to help with pain. They are still doing things on zoom since Covid. Week 6 was the silent retreat. They teach you different meditations throughout the course. There is a walking meditation, movement, body scan and a few others. By the end we can pick the ones we like. Each week we have to pick an activity to do mindfully. We have to practice mindful eating at least once a week. During the silent retreat the doctor lead us through all the different meditations so not all were sitting. All the participants have been referred by their pain specialist.

That sounds really cool! Though, I’m sorry it’s due to pain you’re experiencing

My goal was to get under 600 this month, but I forgot how wild the first couple weeks of losses can be. It is neat to see this big jump, but it also makes me realize how bad I was mistreating myself that just by eating correctly I can lose so much. Onward!

Wow what a super loss! Must be so motivating to see the scales drop like that! Well done xx

Hello Downsizers: My name is Lee. I live in Alaska with my amazing husband an our newly rescued cat. I was born here, and, although I travel extensively, I couldn't imagine calling anywhere else home. The last 11 months have been quite challenging. My oldest brother's wife passed away late last Spring. My niece passed away tragically last Fall. Last month, her father, my 2nd oldest brother had to have emergency open-heart surgery. The surgery went well, but he will have to a lot of rehabilitation due to other health issues. We are thankful he has great doctors in his state, and he has a loving caring wife. Not to Mention, my husband had an ankle replacement last August...

In February, I decided to completely change careers, and am currently studying for an exam I will take later this year. Yikes, we have a very busy and very wonderful life. More later. Be well, be successful, be strong in your desires for a healthier existence. Lee 😎😊

No, I'm not avoiding sugar entirely but the vegan diet makes a lot of things not possible. But also with hubby not eating sugar I am not around it as much.
