I am really proud of myself for not gaining this week!
This week was filled with many difficult medical tests and appointments, all while still dealing with virus symptoms, and trying to figure out which tests/appts to go to and which tests/appts I should cancel and rebook. Went to a walk in clinic today as I can't get rid of my cough and stuffiness/congestion and have been experiencing wheezing which in the past had led to a bronchitis diagnosis. He thought it wasn't bronchitis and whatever virus I had he thinks I'm likely not contagious anymore but that I am dealing with the aftermath of what the virus has done to my body so I have unsuccessfully started using a puffer (first 2 puffs I didn't manage to do correctly) as he thinks my airway might have some swelling/narrowing from the the virus. He still suggested that I wear a mask if I go see my family.
At the beginning of the week I did not make the best eating choices while dealing with some painful medical tests and health concerns but I got myself back in gear by the end of the week and dropped the weight I had put on at the beginning of the week!
After 3 weeks of gaining, I have now had SIX weeks of losing!
Down 7.3 pounds in 5 weeks!
Down 21.5 pounds from my highest weight in 2016.6 -

I am thrilled with my loss this week. I am even more proud of myself. I love the 80’s but just plan on being in this decade for a short time. It’s been since 2000 since I have seen this weight.
Have a great Friday!
So happy for you Linda! You've got this xx2 -

Thankfully not up. Been out of town for work this week so not on plan for most of the week. Must learn how to handle travel and days away from home better.
I remember the days of being on the road for work. Subway and Harvey’s veggie burgers became my friend. That was early 2000. I lost quiet a bit of weight for my wedding.3 -

What a wonderful NSV! I have just over a year before I turn sixty. I hope I reach my goal weight by then. You are an inspiration.

I'm not sure if I mentioned Levels or not since I just discovered it a couple of weeks ago.
I keep looking for a weight loss program that will be sustainable for me. I could even be guilty of not staying with one plan long enough to see results, but what I find myself doing is combining the techniques of multiple plans to find something that will work for me.
I was following the recipes from the Mayo diet, for nutrition balance, yet tracking in MFP to make sure I stayed within calorie range and met my nutritional goals. This was ok.
A week or so ago an email came to me from my insurance company called Wondr for weight loss and it encouraged me to join. I joined and picked a start date of 4/13. Most plans start with a menu and a shopping list and planned times that you will eat etc etc, hence the reason I picked the next day to "start", thinking it would give me some info of what I needed to do to prepare. Instead, I got nothing....and thought....that's weird. I was going to try and change the start date but it wouldn't let me.
The next day, I got busy and then had a mental breakdown dealing with personal work issues. Finally on Saturday, I opened the app and instead of a list of foods to eat and when, it had videos that provided behavior changing tools to help with weight loss. It actually encouraged you to NOT change your eating habits at this time.
I may not have these in exact order but it talked about hydration especially upon waking. We all know that. Then it talked about levels of hunger 1 - 4. 1 being full (i just ate) 2 - I'm a little hungry, 3 - I'm really hungry and 4 - I will eat anything I can get my hands on. It explained why you should eat at a level 3 AND eat only until your comfortably full.
It talked about taking time to listen to your body to determine how many meals you really need in a day vs a strict 3 meals or 6 little meals etc. It recommended chewing slowly, not rushing your meal and finally, cutting back on added sugars....
I was so pleasantly surprised that yet another plan, was different. I'm sure they will get what you're consuming but for now I like it. The other thing I like, you can't speed through the program. I've finished all the videos for week 1 & 2 but can't get to week 3's information until 4/27. Oh, and it's free through insurance!
I'm feeling like this is a process that's finally starting to come together!
Sorry for the long reply5 -

Considering how bad this week was emotionally and how much I overate, i am definitely not complaining. I’m very happy that I still had some loss instead of gaining anything. 🙏🏻 The next few weeks we will be out of town for various events going on so I pray that I am able to make smart decisions and eat right regardless.7 -
