    @sydditt great job on the 10 pound weight loss!! Congrats!!!

    I’ve been at it for two months now and am stuck at only 6 pounds lost thus far. I am doing strength/weight training with a personal trainer weekly and walking a lot, and a NSV is that I brought out some cold weather pants to wear the last week or so and they’re definitely loose on me compared to last year.

    With reference to what I posted earlier, I said I hadn't worked out the calories I needed to make a change. That wasn't quite true, I had calculated the numbers below but I haven't managed to get the ideal number that works for me.
    Caloric needs based on BMR and activity levels:
    ▪️General maintenance caloric needs [me]: Body weight lb [177] x 15 = 2655
    Aim for 1655 to 2155 caloric consumption
    🔹BMR for adult female [me]: 1975
    655 + 761 + 315 - 244= 1975
    655 + (4.3 x weight lb [177]= 761.1) + (4.7 x height inch [67]= 314.9) – (4.7 x age [52]= 244.4) = BMR 1975.4

    @BodyTalking - Do you think this number is higher than it should be for maintenance for you, or lower, or just about right? What does your body tell you?

    @ksludwig - Less than a pound could be chalked up to so many different factors, you're probably doing better than you think! Is there something in particular that you think you're doing wrong?

    @daria0919 - Only 6 pounds? Six pounds in two months is incredible! You've obviously worked for it, and a slow and steady loss is so much healthier and maintainable than being aggressive. And if your pants are looser, clearly you're doing something right. Remember, your weight on the scale is just one aspect and is not a direct indication of progress.

    I'm super excited to finally reach 75 lbs lost! With less than 10 lbs to go before I reach my final goal, this is my lowest weight in over 15 years.

    This is the most I've dropped in one week for quite some time. I've been fighting with the same 2 lbs since the end of May but I dare to hope that I've finally broken that plateau.

    @GinLee61 - Congrats on breaking the plateau! They can be so frustrating, can't they? And now that you're here, what's your next milestone - do you have a goal in mind?

    As for official team business, I am currently weighting (ha) on updates from the following:

    @Laurabb99
    @2BFitgranny
    @EDTake2
    @beabenitez1978

    I also have not heard anything from these new recruits this month:

    @ssten09
    @nnoelferguson

    As always, if anyone needs to be excused for the week or moved to the support team temporarily, just ask! Things are flexible around here, all you need to do is communicate what you want/need and we will do what we can.

    @BodyTalking - Do you think this number is higher than it should be for maintenance for you, or lower, or just about right? What does your body tell you?

    For weight loss it's high, for maintenance it's about right. I haven't been as active as in the past, so these numbers are mostly about general survival needs.

    The fact that I'd prefer to lose weight and firm the flab means that my consumption should be lower and my activity higher.

    When I made more of an effort, it was my main focus (other than work and homelife) but it was time-comsuming and, as much as my health and wellbeing is paramount, I can't devote the equivalent of a part-time job to it. The loss and firming has to meld with my daily life rather than being the main focus. It wasn't a waste of time, of course, I did learn about my mind and body's needs, got some better habits and know the things I can do to help myself. I don't need to do it quickly, I don't need to have an end goal, I just need to work the elements into my day and have it become the norm.

    @melaniedscott - 20,707 total | 3,230 average - Most Consistent!!!

    For half a second, I thought maybe this time I made a legit most of award. And I was right...but I had the most consistently low steps, too with half the steps of the next highest walker...does that really count?😮‍💨

    The Most Steps in one day award was very closly contested this week. @GarysGirl78 was only about 905 steps behind. That might sound like a lot but both walkers exceed 18K that day. Abso terrific!🙀

    Bolded steppers made their stated goal. And I want to recognize @daria0919 for being 46 steps a day away from goal. That is so close!

    This was a fantastic start to the month! We were so close to half a million steps this week...2 million for the month seems like good goal. Can we do it, even with the impending holiday(s)?

    Nsv, went down another hole in my belt.

    I went to the pain clinic yesterday, I am going to have a shot in my back next month. I know the girl who works there and she said if they have a cancelation she will get me in sooner. I am going to try walking again to help get my weight loss going more. It's just hard because of all the pain. I told my husband if the kids ask what I want for Christmas I want a new watch. My fitbit died and because I haven't been able to walk so well I haven't rushed for a new one. But I do know I do not want a fitbit, I have had so many problems with it. I would love to get back into the step challenge. It keeps me motivated.
    My granddaughters are going to Boston tonight to see frozen. They are so excited. I am excited the house will be quiet.

    Friday Weigh In

    Last Week: 82.6kg
    This Week: 83.5kg

    What can I say - increased weight by nearly 1kg! Definitely not muscle either. Not a great week work wise etc. - so less exercise, missed my aqua aerobics, AND ate a takeaway hamburger and chips.

    Disappointed (in my choices) but a good/painful lesson. What you lose can quickly come back when slip into old habits.

    Got my workout gear on this morning- and will do some cardio and strength work. Stay tuned……

    Starting weight: 81.7 kg/180.12 lb
    Previous weight: 79.8 kg/176 lb
    Current weight: 79.9 kg/176.15 lb

    Just a little increase this week 😊 as expected, since my appetite is fully back to normal. Still having a daily soup meal. The current batch is spicy tomato, pepper and bean soup 😋 I do like when my husband is in his soup making phase.
