Shape Shifters Team Chat - DECEMBER 2023

Hi shapeshifters!
I was assigned this group for the January 2024 challenge.
My name is Tati and I have 3 kids (who are all preschool aged). I had these 3 pregnancies relatively close, so I never got to get back to pre pregnancy weight.
My youngest is now a year old and I’m ready to get back to a fit me. According to BMI calculator, I need to lose roughly 25 lbs to be at the top range of my healthy weight, but of course, I’m aiming for more.
I’m joining this challenge so I remain motivated and have accountability.
Let’s gooooooo! 💪7 -

I knew it was going to be a rough weigh in, as I’ve been up on the scale all week. Then yesterday, I went to a food and wine pairing class with my daughter. It was 12 courses and 12 glasses of wine! It was so much fun but I did not feel good last night. I feel better today and I’m going to attempt my final long run before the marathon next month.
Have a great weekend everyone!,!3 -

Hello Shape Shifters! I've been really enjoying some down time this week. I've been catching up on much needed sleep and getting back into working out every day. Now that I'm feeling a bit more recharged, I'd really like to see some weight loss in the new year.
My plan for January will be to:
1. Log my food everyday. This was key for me the last time I dropped weight.
2. Fit in 3 morning workouts a week. At least 2 of these will be weight workouts

Keep weigh-ins here through Saturday!1 -
Got up with good intentions, made a health tracker spread sheet, was about to change into workout clothes and hit the gym when my eldest kiddo came to me asking to check him for strep...so now we are in the waiting room at the doctor's because he looks like he has it 🤦♀️7

Everyone can start building next week's beautiful weigh-ins by planning your daily commitments! The F2F Habit Tracker is a simple self-regulating tool we can share to track those small things that add up.
How many grams of fibre? 30 minutes of exercise? Brush your teeth 2x a day? Drink all that water? Pick anything attainable, specific, and that you know will make a difference as long as you do it. Small is good! It can also be a negative - no alcohol, no added sugar, no swearing at your boss - whatever it takes
Here you go - set it up. Use it. Change anything anytime. But stick through the month!

Good morning! So close to my goal of 125 I can taste it!! But it’s definitely been a crawl to the finish line. Will I get there? Don’t know. Does it really matter? Probably not if I’m being honest. I think at this point it’s all psychological. I’ve lost over 100 pounds, I’m the healthiest I’ve been in decades, but I have this “perfect” number in my head. So I’m going to continue on for another month or so, but if I end up staying in this range, I’m going to say “okay, I’m at goal” and keep living my life and stop worrying. Am I making a New Year’s resolution? Hahaha. Sounds like it. Anyway, wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year!!6 -
