The week in review:
Sunday - 10,874 + 10 Pilates
Monday - 6437 + 45 bike + 30 horse + 15 Pilates
Tuesday - 9137 + 30 Pilates
Wednesday - 4683 + 20 Pilates + 45 each bike and horse
Thursday - 7758 + 30 Pilates + 60 horse
Friday - 11,886 + 10 Pilates
Saturday - 7942 + 45 each bike and horse
I have no idea how you want to count the horseback riding @ashleycarole86 - I would say it is about the same effort level as walking around 3.5 mph, moderate biking, or a somewhat hilly hike. Not out of breath, but getting warm all over now matter how cold it is7 -
Good morning everyone! I love reading the posts from you all.
I really looked at your steps and exercises. Very impressive.
@eggfreak Hope you were able to get the slush out of the way for the birdies. And yes, cold here too. We had a dusting of snow, then frozen rain and ice. Must go out later to grocery shop for the week.
@lauren_989 I totally remember how everything shut down even with the prediction of snow. They never plowed our street. Just waited for it to melt.
I hear you on the foot pain @Kali225 and @eggfreak that was also keeping me from walking. My new sneakers have definitely helped. Now I need to find shoes I can wear that still help my feet that are not sneakers.
Did a really great feeling Pilates workout this morning. Didn’t want to take the time but it was energizing and so good. Discipline right?
Steps and exercise for the week.
Plus …
Monday 1/1 Pilates 16 minutes
Tuesday 1/2 Pilates 27 minutes
Saturday 1/6 Yoga 26 minutes
and two walks on other days steps already counted.
Hurray for this team really putting in the work and being at the top this week. 🎉🎉🎉🎉10 -

Whew! Lots of posts to catxh-up on since I was last here. Love seeing the updates & activity.
I have a very busy week ahead. I will be facilitating 3 days in-person with 2 different clients. So long days with a ton of energy output. To recover and reset I am taking next weekend for a solo trip to the beach (5 hr drive). I'll read, do some goal setting for the year, and take long walks on the beach.
@MaddawgMadsen I'm realizing I will be dependant on whats available for lunches several times this week since I will be on-site with clients. BUT, I'm going to see how many meals this week I can go no-processed carbs. My week starts tomorrow. I'll post here to keep you updated.6 -
Had a beautiful walk in the snow today! Not quite enough to need the snowshoes, but enough to put on the gaiters and have to lift the knees. It was a good workout and so lovely and quiet. Here's one of my favourite spots - I love how the branches hang over this little section of the trail, especially when they are covered with snow. I hope you all had a beautiful day!

late Sunday check-in!
I would say the old snow trick worked! we had a winter wonderland here in Boston for sure - started slow and a bit of rain but turned to a nice pouring of snow for a few hours. I got out for a walk in the thick of it, which I love. Cold and biting wind but something so peaceful about it, too. @jugar love that picture!
@eggfreak yes, this is pain (only in my right foot, thankfully) and tightness along the top of my foot - it is extensor tendonitis. The first thing my podiatrist had me do was buy new shoes (Brooks Addiction GTS) and get inserts from Amazon (these ones, if you want to have a go! link ) which definitely did help, I need more supportive footwear. But, it hasn't healed it, and I am getting beyond frustrated. So probably back to the doc at some point in the next few weeks. If I accidentally walk too far and I am still heading home when the pain begins, it can also start to travel up through my ankle and then I basically start limping because I am afraid to make it worse. ugh.
I did a lot of great meal prep today so I am super pumped for my dinners this week (a salsa chicken tray bake a friend sent me the recipe for, crispy potatoes, and crispy roasted broccoli are on deck), and I did a nice Sunday sauce and froze it so I can add it to chicken parm, pasta, etc through the next few months. woo! anddddd the Packers WON! We are headed to the playoffs, baby!! I really don't want football season to end.
and love seeing our team start the year so strong! the only "losers"! huzzah!7 -
Hey team! Thanks to all the folks posting their week 1 steps and exercise minutes for me. Dec 31-Jan 6 is the "week 1".. I still have a few more to update on the spreadsheet but keep those numbers rolling in!
I was away for an overnight.. took Brad to a lodge in the mountains and we did a big snowshoe trek... channeled our inner @jugar
Came home and watched the Bills clinch the division. Going to bed amped up!
I didn't track while I was away but I will get back to it tomorrow. I know being consistent gets me results!9 -
@jugar I believe last Sunday was 150. Today is still 150! Darn. I ate really healthy today. Hope to start this week off better. Love your snowy photo. We are getting snow now. Been a dry winter mostly.
@eggfreak instant message me for my info when you are ready to start FitOn.
Took my husband shopping since he is not clear to drive yet. Got in a cleaning mood. Took everything out of the kitchen cabinets. Threw out lots. Cleaned all cabinets and replaced remaining items. Felt great. Found a supplier for some more fish. They quarantine for 30 days. Safer for the fish. They need to locate one final fish. Hopefully will have them by March.

I laughed when I got on the scale this morning. After 6 days straight, it moved .2 lbs. The human body is so weird!
I packed my gym bag so I'll have everything I need to go after tomorrow's facilitation. I'll need to work tonight. People have no idea how much time goes into a facilitated session, before, between days, and after. This one will be interesting. I've been brought in by a former employer. Kinda weird to go back after 4 years in an external role. It was a very stressful job and I'm aware working with them today and tomorrow may bring some things up for me. So being very gentle with myself will be key. Hope everyone has a good week!9 -
Happy Monday!
@eggfreak - Yes! I am a fellow New Englander, and we got mostly snow. I did see the forecast is going to warm up this week so I’m sure most of it will be gone before next weekend. My dog absolutely loves the snow, so I’m a bit bummed for him that it’ll likely be gone soon.
I took the day off from work, but I will have one meeting to facilitate because of a project deliverable, but that’s fine with me. I’ve got an actual vacation in February that I will be truly staying offline for.
Today is a “catch up” day of a pilates/yoga workout, grocery shopping, laundry, and some cleaning. It’s nice to take a day off from work to accomplish those kinds of things when the weekends are very socially engaging.3 -
@ashleycarole86 I just saw this right before reading your message about snowshoeing with Brad - it's perfect! Cracked me right up. If only he knew how much work it is to snowshoe
Enjoy the snow if you have it! I'm going out on the shoes - it snowed more overnight, so now is the time!6 -

I am also in an external job with my former employer after retiring a few years ago. It is interesting and sometimes stressful - good luck with yours! You are right to keep yourself centred and breathing deeply.7 -
LAST CALL!
All weigh-ins for this week must be in by 10 hours from now. Don't forget!
@coraliesara9089
@leni1us
@Pearl4686
Thanks!
I'm going to have to sit out January and February. I can't seem to get it together and post my weight in a timely manner. Alot is going on medically right now with my 96 year old dad AND my husband. I would like to still be part of the team but I'll plan to come back in March. I will still jump on
when I can. Sorry team.8 -
@ashleycarole86
I am so sorry but my steps for week one are ZERO. I lost my Fitbit but found it today so as soon as it is charged I'll be using it. So sorry!3
