What is this step challenge! I didn't see it mentioned in the opening post. Thanks!
Whoever wants to participate can - list your step count for each day at the beginning of the month and where you like to walk and post your steps every day or every two days - the captains enter your steps in a spreadsheet
@LaurieWrobo Thank you!1 -

@DaffyGirl88 It's mentioned in the FAQ posting on pg 1 of each month's thread. If you know where the weight chart is to see all of the weigh in stats, you simply scroll down under the weight chart and there's the Step Challenge chart. You agree to post your steps every 2-3 days in the monthly chat thread and your Captains will keep the chart updated. I announce the winners (top 3 walkers) every week and at the end of the month, I post the Monthly winner. Just an extra chance to be a little competitive and active every day. Post your first name for the chart please. Good luck!

Sunday ~ March 31
Good morning Shape Shifters. As I promised myself, I stepped on the scale. There was a 6.5 pound gain which I thought was not bad at all after 9 days of practically binge eating. I was mostly worried I wouldn't be in onederland anymore, but I (just barely) was! I am looking forward to seeing the number go down again.
I had a nice walk in a little bit of fog. I love walking on Sundays because it is so quiet. I saw a male bullfinch in the forest for the first time. I have only seen this bird twice before when I was at a bird hide with my mom, so seeing one in 'the wild' was very neat. There were also new ponies in the field to pet.
I started and finished a cute wooden puzzle. It was only 199 pieces, but still a nice challenge. I had a lot of fun with it. In the afternoon I did my gym rings workout and then I mowed some grass in the front yard. One area was getting really bad and today was sunny and dry so I figured it would be good to get that done. After that, I cleaned up my kitchen and did the dishes. I had been saving them up for like two weeks, so it was pretty gross and long overdue. It is interesting that the state of my kitchen always reflects my mental health, lol. If I don't feel well, the kitchen is the first and only area of the house that turns into a disaster. I planned to clean Saturday already, but I was too tired so I am glad to have it done now. Happy Monday everyone5 -

@jessicakrall8 Thanks for the pointers, I've found the steps. I still don't see any FAQs, though, on either the F2F main page or page one of this thread. Am I looking in the wrong place?0 -

FAQ for New Shape Shifters Members
How do I sign up for the Step Challenge?
Send the Captains a message that you'd like to join, provide your daily step goal and tell her your favorite place to walk. It's that simple! Please be aware though, you're making a commitment to post your steps every 2-3 days, which helps the Captains keep the stats caught up. If you're not willing to do this, please do not sign up. (THANKS!!)
@DaffyGirl88 It's halfway down the first page. Jessica always posts some information. Above is the quote about the step challenge.

Hi, all, well, I'm back from my vacation in the keys. It was beautiful, wonderful, and I got a ton of steps in. Guess that didn't counter all the libations because I gained 2.3 lbs. The new me is not going to beat myself up and toss my good habits to the wind. Nope, it was vacation. 2.3 lbs is easy to get off if I move my body, eat healthy, drink my water, and get good sleep. I will say, I missed you guys, and the accountability, but, then again, it was vacation. If you've never been, the Florida Keys are BEAUTIFUL! We walked the Duck Key portion of the Seven Mile Bridge, two miles there and two miles back. It felt great! I can really feel my health returning and I want to keep it that way! Thanks, my accountabilibuddies!6

Here's my introduction:)
I am happy to be here and looking forward to joining this group in the April challenge. My name is Sloan. I'm 57 years old, married for 27 years and have two kids. My daughter is graduating from college in May, and my son graduated two years ago and now lives nine hours from home. I live an hour north of New Orleans in a little town named Abita Springs. I also have two big loveable rescue dogs.
I joined a F2F challenge back in 2020 and continued it for about a year. I lost sixty pounds. Then life got in the way, spent three weeks in the hospital with my mom, and I let it all slip away too easily. I gained most of it back. Over the last three years, I have lost and gained about ten pounds, and I had a hard time getting and staying on track with the healthy lifestyle I want. For the last few months, I've been eating healthy again, logging food and doing well. I need to get back to exercising regularly. Being here and being accountable is a huge help to me. Without that, I fall back.
I love nature and being outdoors. I like to go on walks. There is a lake nearby, so I'll walk at the lakefront. I wish we had good hiking trails and mountains. I really love a long hike.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I'm going to go back and read all of the posts, but I wanted to get this on here now:)

@Pupowl THANK YOU!! I totally missed that post! I try to keep up with everyone's posts but apparently didn't scroll far enough up / down to catch that one. I appreciate you pointing me to the right place. :-)2 -

Welcome back @FWSWCindy and in the future, just go ahead and ask to be excused during vacation, that way you're covered and if you extended, you'll be fine...glad you had a good time!

You were placed on the drop list @FWSWCindy but I've asked the MODS to move you back. As soon as you're on the April chart, I'll report your weigh in and you'll be good as gold.

@izzyred9400 Where are you located that you just turned the clock back yesterday? I'm in Maryland and we did it 2 weeks ago. I love the longer days but think that I just now caught up on my sleep. 🥱😴3 -
Monday ~ April 1
Good morning Shape Shifters. I had another lovely and quiet walk. It was a little misty again and I made it home before the rain started. I started and finished a puzzle. I wanted something easy and relaxing so I picked a round 500 piece one. Those are my absolute favourite to put together. I also vacuumed downstairs and mopped the kitchen. The rest of the day was pretty chill with lots of reading, tea, music and laptime for Tinus. Happy Tuesday everyone4 -
The daily card:There are always new things to learn from people around us, whether at home, at work or in our daily lives. The next time someone tells you something you didn't know, research around the subject to find out more about it. Impart that knowledge to someone else at the next opportunity. You may find yourself becoming more receptive to learning from others.1

Good morning! My steps so far this week are:
Sun 3/31: 12,674
Mon4/1: 10,537
My personal goal is 12,000 but I haven't hit it regularly in many months. A few years ago I was routinely getting 15-20k steps a day and I would like to get back to that. I think that's probably why my weight has crept up these last 2 years. Well, one reason anyway.3 -

Gm yall. I'm hoping next Tuesday I'll get released from the orthopedic surgeon... the incision looks so good now. Knee is still a bit stiff but nothing like a month ago when I had seen the surgeon.
Rain and tstorms have rocked where I'm at with a tornado touching down 15 minutes from me. I checked on my family that lives near where the twister touched down and every one was ok. I'm just a bit draggy today.

@jessicakrall8 I did report I was going on vacation to the Florida keys and was unsure if a scale would be there. I only expected to miss one weigh in, but our trip was extended due to cancelled flights.
Thanks for getting me back on the team. I do appreciate it.1 -

Ugh, I've been feeling really insecure lately about my weight / appearance. I'm going through menopause and my skin is all dry and I wake up puffy and I have cellulite for days.8 -

@FWSWCindy You said you would let us know if you didn't have access to a scale, but after that post, you didn't say anything until after you got back. We can't remember what every single member of the team is up to. Either way, it wasn't a big deal and it is nice to have you back.2
