Closed foam insulation... seals up the foundation walls and rim joist, even acts as a vapour barrier...

OSB panels (4 ft x 8 ft, 1/2 inch thick) to use as wallboard in the basement workshop I'm going to build... Since the workshop will be in the basement, I'm thinking of ways to control sawdust, noise etc.

Anyone remember back in June or July when I was excavating the front entrance? If you look in the background, you'll see there are some ancient patio stones making a kind of walkway to the house's original front entrance. We pulled those up and I pressure washed them clean...

I finally got a load of gravel today. I'd like to try to level the patio stones up more but at least it's no longer a hole in the ground. lol

I have plenty of gravel so I'm going to do a couple of other projects...

For example... a pad for the generator...

An entry pad for the stairwell as the ground sloped away steeply making entering awkward.

Base for the generator pad... and I used more landscaping ties to make raised beds next to the foundation and tied it all the way over to the new steps...

I used my screen to separate some sand to flatten the generator pad... plus plenty of tamping...

Top-filled and tamped the raised beds...

I used a bit of leftover sand on the bottom step...

Since I have leftover gravel, I spread some beside the garage too....

Almost all of the gravel spread. Eventually I want this space to be widened enough so I can drive my truck to the backyard. At present, I get vehicle access to the backyard via crossing the vacant lot next door. The owner of the lot lives in Alberta so I can't ask permission although I doubt they care...

I still have a couple wheelbarrows of gravel left... I'm considering renting a powered tamper so I can compact this gravel hard as concrete to prevent grass/weeds from growing.

I finished up two more benches. My wife started painting to match the trim of the doors and windows but ants started biting her feet so she quit.

My wife decided one coat of paint was enough so we moved to into place. Bench #3 is on the back deck.

There are three "lairs" in this picture...

You've seen where Blue the beagle likes to hang out; that's one. CatCat the Magnificent is barely visible in her fav chair; that's two. Finally, my laptop is on the kitchen island where I spend a couple of hours per day; that's three...

The picture is a bit deceptive; the great room is 30 ft wide and 36 ft deep from memory...

Was I walking hard and fast? Well... my sweat pattern on my t-shirt back looks like either a Rorschach Inkblot test... OR perhaps my inner demons screaming?
