Busy day yesterday. Got our morning walk done, then worked in the garden most of the day. Spread the rest of the soil and turned it in. Got the carrots, potatoes, and parsnips planted. Cleaned up the screened porch which was filled with garden stuff. Exhausted, so of course binged a little - but with all the exercise today came just under my calorie limit.
I have been getting our garden beds ready and am going to try growing potatoes this year. I bought 15 gallon cloth pots to try them in. I will try to get them planted this week. I love gardening1 -
If everything in your house had to be one color... What color would you choose?
I think I would choose the color of eggplant

Downsizers
Last week 10 people gained in our group and only 9 people lost
Come on team or we will have to change our name to the Upsizers!!!2 -
Its only 8 weeks until Summer / 1st July
Are you committed to being lighter by then?
I'm starting a mini challenge (like i do at Xmas). All you have to do is tell me how much you are going to weigh on 1st July.
I'll then pick up weekly weigh ins and update the charts. Just let me know your target weight and I'll add you to the "summer challenge"

Summer challenge
I'm committed to being 175lb by 1 July 🌞🌞 saying goodbye to 8lb1 -

Then you can ignore my daily posts - they are just for me to keep me accountable. I'll do one for you at the end of the week. 😁1 -

We grew potatoes for the first time last year. Planted them both in the ground and in containers - both were successful. We bought seed potatoes at the nursery AND planted some that we got at the grocery store. Again, both successful. I like the containers better because at harvest time you just had to dump the pot into a wheel barrow and then find them. In the ground you had to dig - not as easy. We had potatoes for months. This year we just did them in containers. Hope you have great success!

Gardening is a great way to burn calories. I have a silly question. How did you plant the potatoes? Did you cut the eyes off older potatoes and use them? This will be my first time growing potatoes so I am in the process of figuring out how to do it. I am getting the pots that you have a flap to open to get the potatoes out.
We did them two ways last year. We bought the "seed" potatoes from the nursery and then just put them in the pot as is. We also had the small yukon gold and tri colored potatoes from the grocery store and just put them in the pot. Both worked. This year we had some really old potatoes with the eyes. I read this article on how to plant those - we ended up just cutting the potato into quarters and planted each quarter with eyes up. Hope it works.

I went to Barbados with my family. The weather was so lovely. I did pretty good with my food but I did drink quite a lot while I was there. Rum punch and pina coladas. I try to be mindful on vacation without depriving myself of the things that I really want to enjoy.3 -
