@izzyred9400
Here's a tip for using the spoiler. Just above the comment box are B, I, S, etc. the sixth of which is the paragraph symbol ¶. That last gives a drop down with three options: Spoiler, Quote and Code. The trick is, select the entire photo's link URL before clicking Spoiler.
However, there's another way that is just as easy, once you know about markup language. All those formatting options above the comment box just insert the markup language into your text. Once you understand markup language, you can type it directly.
If you peruse the text in a quoted comment, you'll see a sprinkling of square brackets [] surrounding regular text. This is markup that tells the app how to format the surrounded text. There is an opening tag like [ b] or [ i], for bold and italic respectively, and matching closing tags like [ /b] and [ /i] (the slash identifies it as the closing tag).
So, however you chose to do it, just make sure that the [ spoiler] tag precedes the entire URL and the [ /spoiler] tag follows the entire URL. 🙂2 -
@lolakinks & @TashieB24 Welcome to the Shape Shifters! I wish you both luck on your health journey and I hope this group will be helpful for you both.2

Hello Shape Shifters. The heat is getting to me! I went to bed on time last night, but I was upset about something and it was so hot. I quickly realised sleep was not going to happen, so I got up again and played a video game. I got around 6,5 hours of sleep which wasn't ideal. I didn't feel too bad today thankfully, but it was just too hot to do anything. I got my steps in and I went to the store for some lemonade, pear popsicles, carrots and I found a new vegan salad I will try tomorrow. I also got a package with some new clothes delivered, though I won't wear the items any time soon because they are for when it is colder. I got two hoodies with flower embroidery on the sleeves. I couldn't pick between green or pink so I got both since they were on sale anyway. I also got a cute cropped fleece/teddy vest. I don't own anything cropped, but I just thought it was adorable and I am sure I will get use out of it in the fall. Going to post the daily card and then head to bed because I am pooped. Have a good day everyone4

@jessicakrall8 thank you very much for the all information!
I mostly have problems about losing motivation after a few weeks especially when I don’t see much change and getting tired of counting calories (it feels a bit obsessive to count everything). I hope the group will keep me going.
At the end of July, I hope be at least 102 kg (224.8 lbs), I am 104.1 kg (229.5 lbs) today. I haven’t seen below 103 kg for about 1.5 years so this is an important threshold for me. It’s not a huge difference, I know, but I am not great with strict diets and I have PCOS and insulin resistance. Thus, losing weight is really hard for me.3 -
The daily card:Mindfulness and memory are closely linked. Making an effort to recollect the last few moments of an experience can brighten your awareness and lead to insight by helping you see connections between things. Next time you notice a strong emotion or a sharp sensation, give yourself a moment to remember anything that may have been related to that feeling coming on, then acknowledge that memory and let it go-no need to create a big story around it.4

@jessicakrall8 Thank you for the welcome!
I am excited to be here. My name is Kay and I just turned 47. I have 5 kids and my youngest is a Senior so I am about to enter a new stage! I went back to school 5 years ago for a second degree in accounting. I am now working part time at an accounting firm (full time during tax season) and studying for the CPA exam.
My goal is to lose about 40 pounds to get to a healthy BMI. If I make that, then my ultimate goal would be to lose 15 more. I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor so I want to get my health in a better place!!!
I look forward to jumping right in and getting to know everyone. I know what I need to do to lose weight, I just have to keep up my motivation. 😊5 -

I have trouble uploading photos from my phone using the MFP app. Any tips or tricks you can share?
I got a trail jog/walk in last night and wanted to share some photos.
I was right there with you! I figured out that EVERYTHING Community-related (including uploading pictures) is much easier using your phone’s browser. I only use the MFP App to log food. Other than that, use your internet browser, not your google app.(I believe for Android you would use google chrome) it works as the full MFP Website, like literally type in www.myfitnesspal.com it may suggest the app and you’ll decline and continue to the community.
Matter of fact, you can create a “tab” for every Community group you’re involved in here. But honestly, once I did this, I never had to do it again because that tab just sits there open in the background of my phone.
You’ll be able to easily upload pictures. Also I love that if I’m typing something and happen to abandon my phone, what I was typing is still sitting there..
Even hours later!!
Thanks for reminding me of this! (I posted this from the Chrome browser on my phone, and it was quite easy to insert a photo that was on my phone.)
@frankwbrown Is that some random picture or is that you?1 -
Agreed, thank you! I'm sure that Krystal has probably given me those tips before but my retention isn't the best.
Yet ask me the lyrics to any random song from the '60s or '70s and I am on it!!2 -

Hello 🙂 I'm Natasha, I'm a 41-year old South African living in the British lake district. I moved here 3.5 years ago with my 2 children (who are now both in university and live away from home).
The change in lifestyle, weather (yes really, the weather!), and perimenopause all have contributed to an excess of 20 kg's (about 44 lb's if you don't work in metric measurements) and a severe lack of motivation.
I have 2 dogs, they are Jess and Luna and when it's not raining, windy and generally unpleasant weather we like to go for walks in the lakes and on the beach.
I work at a desk 5 days a week and the kitchen is closer than ideal (the voice in my head is always after snacks).
I'm somewhat of an introvert so not inclined to join a gym or running club so I'm hoping to find some support and people to hold me accountable and help with motivation.
Thanks,
Natasha6 -

Hello Shape Shifters! Here’s my weekly weigh-in report —
Name: PatriceFitnessPal
Weigh-in day: Thursday
PW: 147.7
CW: 147.7
Ltd: 20.3
My weight fluctuated up and down on the scale this week but today’s weight ended up exactly the same as last week’s number! No gain is a win from my perspective. It’s been a busy week but yesterday was the most stressful because of important back-to-back meetings and events. In fact, one meeting overlapped with another evening event but everything went rather smoothly so I’m feeling relieved today. Onward!5 -
I’m a bit behind in responding to messages in the group. I interviewed someone today to inform some next steps on a work project - and I’m still recovering from a busy schedule this week with work, business development, travel, and helping relatives in Boston all competing for time — but it feels good to make progress toward some of my annual goals.
I’m looking forward to catching up here in the next few days. I hope everyone is doing well!3 -
Hello Shape Shifters. Another disgustingly hot day here. Tomorrow should be better. I basically didn't do anything except go to the grocery store and in the afternoon I returned a package. I got the 'present' for Tinus delivered finally, which was a long rug for in the hallway. He likes to run to and from upstairs and he always slips around a lot so I thought this would be useful for him. I got the anti slip mat to go under the rug last week already. When I was about to put it all in place, I saw that the anti slip mat was a lot wider even though both were supposed to be 80 cm. I measured the rug and it was only 70 cm! I get it can be a little bit off, but 10 cm is insane. I also found a way cheaper rug on amazon so I decided to return this one.
I ate too much food again. I blame the heat. It is really hard to focus on anything when it is so hot, my brain just doesn't work, which makes me really bored and turn to food. Some of it was healthy (carrots and strawberries) but plenty of it wasn't. I also gave the delivery guy a pear popsicle; he was very happy about that! That job must be hell in the heat even if they have AC in the car. With them constantly having to open and close the doors, I doubt it does anything. I had a shower in the afternoon after I dropped off the package and when I was downstairs in the hallway, I realised I forgot to put on my glasses! I am practically blind without glasses and that has never happened before, so my brain was for sure a bit fried today. I also got a bunch of new bird food and treats/meds for Tinus and some long sleeved sport shirts for walking in a smaller size. I didn't own the bigger size for very long before they got too big, though if I keep eating like an elephant, I am sure they will fit again soon so I better not let that happen.Tinus got the fan and I put his liquid treats in the fridge so he could enjoy them cold & outside.5 -

We've been busy with school graduations and family birthday parties recently. My diet and exercise have been poor these past couple weeks. I'm taking a vacation at home next week, so won't be sitting all day at a desk and plan to be more active outside. Have a great weekend everyone!5 -
