Just a small cardio workout yesterday. Spent the day cleaning the house. We have been focusing on the outside and the garden that I neglected the inside. It felt great to get it done. I love a clean house. Going to the doctor today for this sinus thing I have. I can't hear at all out of one ear, and now I have pink eye in both eyes! Guess it's time for some meds.

I've been going to farmers' markets and smaller independent grocers and fruit markets lately since I've been boycotting one of the larger grocery chains her in Canada. There are some things I need from larger grocery stores or Costco, but I like the smaller markets in general.1 -

If I wasn't trying to lose weight I would say donuts. I have never met a donut I didn't like! But since I AM trying to lose weight I will go with coffee1 -

A lot of seated exercise yesterday - I found a few workouts from Paul Eugene's youtube channel that I found fun and felt like I was really working out. Went to the doctor yesterday, sinus and ear infection, not pink eye (it's just a side effect of the infections). I'm on antibiotics and decongestants. Hoping it clears soon - would love to be able to hear again!

It was super hot and humid here yesterday so knew I wouldn’t get my steps in outside. Figured I’d run some errands and go to the gym. Left with some returns and my water but forgot my headphones and gym bag Ended up doing a few laps around the inside of the air conditioned mall. Was 200 steps short so sped walked around my house before I got into bed. Made it work!

What is everyone's traditions for the 4th of July?
We usually swim in our pool ...but since I am injured I won't be in the pool ... We watch fireworks but I won't be out there ..it is going to be 111 here in California ...so I will be watching fireworks on T.V. in my nice cool house ...We will be bbq-ing pork ribs ...I usually host a 4th of July party every year but I am not doing it this year

First week with the new Fitbit and back to getting my steps in. I think I would have been down even further except we hosted the 4th of July celebration with extended family so there was a lot of 'celebrating' although I did take it pretty easy. We're leaving in a few hours for Branson, MO to do some boating at the lake, amusement park fun and maybe a show or two. I have low expectations for healthy food options but will try to make good choices. At least I should get lots of steps in over the extended weekend.2 -

Quiet 4th of July -Got in two seated cardio workouts - counted one as my walk workout, the other as my cardio workout. Got my step goal completed - seated of course. Feeling a little better today - at least I could hear my hearing aid start up. To be honest, I was kind of scared that the ear infection will lead to more hearing loss. I am very hard of hearing already, it is really hard to live in a world and only hear half of what is said. The constant "what was that", is really frustrating for both me and others. People just don't get hearing loss - they roll their eyes like I am an annoyance when I ask them to repeat. Many times I just pretend I hear so I don't have to see it. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer - I'll end on a positive note - The fact that I could hear the hearing aid start up to day was reassuring.
