Obese RA-Worrier fighting for normality

I will be 61 years old soon but don't feel like it. The numbers in my head and on paper don't match.
I was diagnosed with RA 14 years ago, and I had my fair share of ups and downs. I was always overweighed, and then, when moving hurt too much, and I was put on prednisone and other 'good' stuff, I ballooned up to 350 lbs. I felt very sorry for myself, like everyone else who gets a chronic pain disease.
I have researched my disease and autoimmune diseases like everyone else. Sometimes I feel good and sometimes I feel bad. I have watched the YouTube hit "Fat, sick and nearly dead" and it was an eye-opener. Of course, I had to try it and I juiced for 10 days. I felt great, but it's not a solution. I have to work and I cannot just juice for weeks or months. I need food but what?
Some foods hurt me more than others, so I will give a vegan, oil-free lifestyle a try for 30 days soon. I am willing to try everything. Because of my weight gain and my immobility, I got bigger and bigger, and finally, I got diagnosed with diabetes in August. I had it coming. I knew I was prediabetic and I did nothing. Another pill? Injections? NOPE! Over my dead body! They offered me weight loss injections. I said "No".
I made a deal with my doctor. I have time until December to get my sh** in order and I am on it. I started with 348 lbs on September 5th and now down to 325 (today). 23 pounds weight loss. Wowzer!
I have tapered down on Prednisone from 15 mg to 10 and boy do I hurt. I am on Methotrexate and Hydroxychloroquineine. I take Folic Acid and I try to handle my pain with Ibuprofen but today I caved and took a Celebrex. I have tried every supplement known to men. I take Tumeric and Ginger with black pepper.
The high-protein diets, so many swears by, make me hurt. Too much protein makes my joints hurt and my inflammation is through the roof. Now I eat 'normal' and in moderation. Mostly veggies with fish, and fruits, no added sugar. Gluten and dairy-free.
I am looking for an active group with active members who are determined to lose weight and be healthier.
Sorry for the rather long introduction (I type faster than I talk) but I thought if I introduce myself, then I better lay it all open.
If I don't fit in here, just let me know, please.

@LADYMAGENTA,
Don't know why I haven't seen your post til now. I was diagnosed with both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis about 25 years ago. No problem with either until about the last month. I don't eat much bread, cake, sugar, etc. Mostly meat, veggies, milk products and I make an effort to include fruit. I've gotten hooked on diet coke for the last month or so, and wonder how much that's causing the pain. 30 years ago it was common for me to drink 3 2-liter cokes a day. I quit cold turkey when I realized how many calories that was.
I've never taken anything for it and don't know anything about the drugs you're taking.
I did take blood pressure medication (water pills) for a while. I lost 50 pounds when I started, then automatically gained 20 when I quit. I promise I didn't eat that much extra.
The Dr. Wanted to put me on statins because my triglycerides were borderline, but I declined. That was nearly 2 years ago. Don't know what they are now.
As you see, this is not an active group, but there are people here with similar problems. We care.
Hope you feel better soon.
Good luck with your weight loss.
