I'm super happy with this. Last weekend was a bit crazy with food, but Sunday-Thursday, I worked hard. So I'm pleased to see the hard work show up on the scale. I'm really hoping to break through to under 150 soon. Next week, maybe?5 -
Steps
10/31: 8,560
I took the day off from intentional walking. But we did go trick or treating so I got a few steps there. I'm proud to say I only had about 5 pieces of candy so far. We do have 2 bags of candy sitting in the other the room that I'm sure my boys won't have much interest in (they don't like sweet food), so we'll see what happens to them. But so far, I am proud of myself for resisting.
Halloween pic belowThey did so good! I was not expecting them to handle the new experience very well, but they did! They had so much fun!! They even said Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween!6 -
@globalhiker Of course that is totally fine. The step challenge never automatically carries over each month. We still have Friday and Saturday left though. Do you want me to zero those out for you or will you finish the last 2 days?0

Wow October is done and dusted. I didn't make as much progress as I had hoped, but I didn't gain either. I know I can do better with planning food and higher protein so I'm not nibbling so much during the day. I'm motivated by those of you who are doing well, esp @Zaxa2021 @Pupowl, its fun to see everyone over in the 100 day challenge.
This week was tough, 2x restaurant outings, plus halloween candy. I want to work on a small habit during Nov, and I've previously had luck with no eating after 8pm. I think those extra 100-200 calories I've been having before bed are not serving me.4 -
@indoorsy_ Thank you for the kind words! However, I just returned after 4,5 months of basically binging, so my motivation and discipline is quite high right now. I hope I can keep it going for the next 3 months. I do really like the 100 day challenge because people check in so often. It's nice to read all the daily updates. This is also my 4th attempt at weight loss and I would really like it to stick now. Or at least never go into the 200's again. Tired of seeing it on the scale!1

I had so much enthusiasm a few weeks ago, then I hurt my good knee and it’s really got me down. I felt like I had one month of both knees being good then my left knee went out big time. I’m still working out, but I went to the grocery store after gym yesterday and could barely make it thru the store. I’m really afraid I have a meniscus tear and I am not yet mentally prepared to go through another knee replacement surgery. I have thousands of dollars of dental surgery coming up and I need to get that done before I start thinking about the next big thing.
Sad my son won’t be home for thanksgiving, but that may take dinner prep off my plate and maybe we can go out to eat instead.3 -

Still at our son’s. Road still flooded and our septic system is still under water.
I'm sorry. I hope that clears up for you all soon.4 -
@zaxa2021 High-five on staying focused on your goals with the stressful news with your insurance. What a cute pic of you first responders! Thanks for sharing
@PatriceFitnessPal
I think it is important to be reminded of our goal. From my perspective, we are here to support one another.
@izzyred9400 take care of you, if you need to cry - then cry. There's a quote that motivation is garbage.
Discipline > motivation. Balance that though, feel your feelings and cry if you need. Then get back
to the healthy habits - those behaviors help us with our feelings. Hugs.1 -

I did indeed get my Dad's cold. I'm feeling better now, but have been pretty out of it the last few days. Lots of hot tea, kimchi noodle soup, and seitan wraps. Hopefully, I'll shake off the last of it this weekend and be ready to get moving again for November
I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween!3 -
Have a great weekend, y'all!!!

@alleykat69 it started on Sunday. I'll see if I can post the link, which I have trouble doing on my phone. You can look for it in the Challenges forum. It's not too late to join!! 😊1 -

No intentional exercise completed.
I did get my annual eye exam taken care of, change to prescription but all else is good/stable. Did a commissary run, picked up prescription and got both my covid and flu shots. We had a couple friends with kids come over to trick or treat in the neighborhood, enjoyed seeing all the costumes coming by (@Zaxa2021 your littles look great !). I didn’t have the most nutritious food but I did stay within my calorie goals. I hope everyone has a great weekend.3 -

Ate more carbs this week in preparation for my first powerlifting competition on Thursday. It was a super low key online one where I was just setting benchmarks for myself to compare for the next one, but I'm super happy with how I did since I don't have a lot of experience lifting heavy singles (1 rep maxes).5 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. A very grey day, but I enjoyed my walk. I planned to go a bit shorter, yet it still ended up being 90 minutes. Oh well, guess it was longer than I recalled. My body felt fine so not a big deal. I went to the grocery store for some bananas and veggies, relaxed a bunch with Tinus and did my gym rings before dinner. Arms are already not sore anymore so that is good. I was very tired so I went to bed early. Happy Saturday everyone4

I switched things up and did a shorter treadmill walk and added in 15 minutes on the exercise bike. I'm also considering adding in some swimming at some point in the next few days. It's been a LONG time since I swam laps. I'm pretty sure I still know how, but I'm still nervous to try for some reason. Maybe I'll give it a go tonight.4 -
