Weigh In
PW: 151.2
CW: 150.8

I was hoping for a little more, but I'm happy it's a loss. Some of my healthy routines are becoming more normalized in my mind, it's starting to become more of a habit and a little less forced.4 -
I’m moving from the Shape Shifters active group to the support list, but I didn’t give you much advance notice @Pupowl and @jessicakrall8 so you might need my weigh in report for this week:

Best wishes, everyone!4 -
@PatriceFitnessPal That wasn't a problem. You were moved yesterday so no worries. Hope you will be back with us again soon!3

I'm embarrassed because I was doing so well. But I think I needed a down day from all the emergencies that keep happening at work. So instead, I worked on my steampunk costume (and it shows that I didn't move enough).5 -

Hi Shape Shifters! I saw this quote today and resonated with me greatly. Is there anything that you're wanting to do and fear is holding you back?
For me, perfectionism and fear hold me back. It is like Nike says - just do it.

No intentional exercise. Still swollen and uncomfortable from oral surgery and as an added bonus bruising is now visible. I’m feeling tired, weak and whiny 😫. Struggling to ingest an adequate amount of calories.5 -

This is a surprise, although the prior week was a zero gain/loss so maybe my body is just playing catch up. I’m still dealing with a bum knee so very little movement outside of weight training 3x week. I started a cortisone pill pack on Wednesday, after I was sure it wouldn’t interfere with upcoming oral surgery. It’s taken the edge off the pain and I hope will reduce inflammation once I finish the pack. I’m just not psychologically ready to deal with another
knee replacement yet. And I’ve been quite down this week so I’ve been doing a lot of stress eating. I made some pumpkin bread with pecans and chocolate chips. It was yummy but I believe it is giving me heartburn-I guess Mother Nature is hinting that I should stop eating it! Anyway, I’m hoping the loss is not just water weight or a reaction to the meds. Hope I can hang onto it!7 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. Woke up with a headache and I was pretty tired too. Considered taking a rest day, but a short walk is better than nothing so I went out for 55 minutes. Got the last groceries for the week after my walk and did my gym rings before dinner. Not a very interesting day, but I got everything important done again. Happy Saturday everyone

The gain doesn't make a lot of sense, considering my habits this week and how well I've stayed in my calorie limit. If I had to guess, I'd say it's because I'm finally over my cold and am eating solid foods again. I have some folks that are wanting to work out with me on Thursday mornings, so that will be pretty cool. Hopefully, this will be the month that I see the end of the 250's!5 -

@Beautiful pictures this week @Pupowl and @PatriceFitnessPal ...thank you so much for sharing your gifts...
@Cyncia85 Thanks for asking...it was a rough week...emotional, very painful and yet there were little snippets of kindness here and there that brightened each day...found new support on Threads, now that I've left X (formerly Twitter)...had great conversations with my boss and several colleagues at work. I've been working very hard on my nutrition and it's going well. I keep reminding myself that every pound I lose takes 7 lbs of pressure off my joints and that keeps me going. Had two days this week that were better than the rest (Thu/Fri) and am trying to do a little more movement, either in Strength exercises (neck, arms and shoulders) and walking when I can, but trying not to push too hard. Until I get another 10-15 lbs off I'm not going to push for 10k steps a day again. I have to build back up slowly, but it's so hard when I miss it so much. Again, appreciate you checking on me...and @pupowl too...it's getting better. Two more weeks to get through and then I have a week off...
General question for everyone...Is it horrible that I'm going to treat the upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) as regular days? Don't get me wrong...I'll be thankful and prayerful, but I'm not putting extra money or decor into it...just going to love on Betty, cook at home and just enjoy "me" time. All of my family are 10+ hours away...just going to be quiet and reflective this year...

Good morning Shape Shifters. The weather was depressingly grey again, but I went out for my walk. It felt a little hard because this forest walk has some ups and downs and a lot of tree roots hiding under the leaves so I had to be very aware which was a little tiresome. Walk was nice and quiet though. I did laundry and relaxed with Tinus. He was very lazy and we only went outside twice. If I was a cat, I would be the same! Happy Sunday everyone

~ Not sure how accurate this loss is but it’s what I got for nowLooking for new scale recommendations if anyone has any?? 👀the other day my husband got on our scale and said it seemed extremely low considering he just started dieting and he dropped like 7 lbs in a couple of days. I went to the gym that morning and compared my reading at home to the one at planet fitness (considering shoes and all) and it seemed to be way off from theirs so it might be time for a switch. I’ve had my eufy digital scale for around 5 years now and since I weigh every day I would prefer my next one to not rely on batteries.3
