@p8m6bwghh9 Glad to hear that you are recovering well and that you can start to eat more foods. I agree. Definitely not a fun way to lose weight.
I love words and had to look up the word 'hoarfrost' because I've never heard that word! Turns out that I love hoarfrost! It's beautiful, unique and interesting. Thanks for sharing the pics.
If you don't know what 'hoarfrost' is, I'll save you some time.
Why do they call it hoarfrost?
Hoarfrost is a type of feathery frost that forms as a result of specific climatic conditions. The word 'hoar' comes from old English and refers to the old age appearance of the frost: the way the ice crystals form makes it look like white hair or a beard.
-a grayish-white crystalline deposit of frozen water vapor formed in clear still weather on vegetation, fences, etc.

Good morning Shape Shifters. A very grey day again. There was some drizzle on the weather map, but my walk was dry. I didn't go too long this time since my body felt a bit tired. I got groceries after the walk, did my gym rings workout after lunch and the rest of the day was lazy because I also had a headache. I got a vegan protein chocolate milk you can warm up + protein lentil chips to replace the banana shake. I enjoyed that a lot more and my protein only dropped by 5 or so. Might keep this up for the winter and switch to the chocolate shake later, will see. The scale was very nice yesterday morning. I am happy with my weight loss so far, though of course I wish I didn't eat 30+ pounds back on since June. Just looking forward to breaking out of the 200's for good this time. Happy Thursday everyone

Still below what they should be but I'm working on that. Taking off today and tomorrow for some mental health time. I'm going to a quilt retreat. Not many steps from sitting at a sewing machine all day, but it's better than work!!6 -
@DaffyGirl88 A quilt retreat sounds absolutely awesome! I have a baby blanket and another small blanket my mom made for me. Quilting is so much work. Will you actually be able to finish something in that time? Maybe a pillow or something? Would love to see what you make! I hope it will make you feel better as well.3

Good morning Shape Shifters. Long walk, found a cute clover and some more mushrooms. I can't wait for walking to feel easier again. While I am never in pain, my body just feels very tired after 45 minutes or so. I can go longer without it getting worse which is nice, but I hope to feel better at a lower weight. The rest of the day was lazy as usual. Tinus wanted on my lap a lot.
I got a package deliver in the evening from amazon. I found a really cute book with cat comics called "the book of purrs". I will put some pictures under the spoiler. Not going to show many pages though. I want the book to last, so I will look at one new page a day. The second thing I got is a beautiful planner for 2025 from Kokonote. It has stickers, budgeting pages, quotes, a lesson on haikus, two bookmarks and so much more beyond the usual. Every month starts with a gorgeous page of Japanese art. I am obsessed with it and I can't wait to use it for my weight loss/health journey next year. I track in a lot of different places, but having a whole year in one spot in such a pretty package is going to be awesome. Will share some pictures of the planner as well. Happy Friday everyone

@Pupowl I absolutely could finish something. With proper planning... which I didn't do. 😂 I planned on making a table runner for Thanksgiving, but forgot to cut the border fabric and didn't have it with me. 😕 So I moved on to making a few pillowcases for charity. Those are quick and easy so I made 3 and have fabric cut for 3 more. Easy win there. LOL
Then I moved on to a project I've had kicking around for a few years. At our silent auction one year I got a huge stack of beautiful holiday fabric cut in strips 2.5 inches wide and 10.5 inches long. I came up with a plan so have been working on that.
I get bored easy so usually have several projects with me. I find it hard to work on one thing for 8 hours at a time. I will definitely take some pictures and post them. Might be a couple days as I'm one of those who can't post from my phone. 😔5 -

I'm happy with this loss, especially happy to be under 150, even just barely.
I'm still not able to do my running workouts due to my hip still bugging me. I've been walking on the treadmill with incline, using the exercise bike and a little swimming. It's frustrating, but I want to let my hip fully heal before starting up again, and it's just not there yet.6 -

Happy Friday! I've been sick since last week with a terrible dry cough that just seems to be lingering, so not getting as much exercise. It's just starting to go away and I'm feeling more energetic just in time for the weekend.
My weekend plans include going to the theatre to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the musical, coaching some hockey practices and costume making. I've been volunteering making costumes for a local community theatre company. One of my kids who is in one of their upcoming musicals. My sewing machine has been working non-stop and we've been having fun painting shoes. It's been fun!

As far as the holidays, do what you feel’s best for you. I’ve had some years where I could barely decorate so I totally get it. Last year my son and his partner came home for thanksgiving but not Christmas, so I cooked, but minimally decorated. This year they will miss thanksgiving but be here for Christmas so I am planning to go out to eat for thanksgiving and then plan a more elaborate Christmas.
And give yourself permission to change your mind! You may be feeling better or find a perfect decoration and it might really improve your mood. Just be flexible!
@cre804 I'm on Threads as @jessicakrall so please send me a friend request...I'm so new on there...still finding my way around! LOL Same name on Facebook.

I finished up my steroid pack a couple days ago. I always thought those would make you gain weight but it seemed the opposite for me. I had a 7 pound weight fluctuation in 6 days! I’m not sure they did much good, but I’m just going to power through the holidays. Still lifting weights 3x week. This was a tough week, but it was tough for everyone so I’m just happy we all got through it!
Time is getting short before the holidays and I’m behind my schedule since I’ve been resting my knee. Guess I will reevaluate what must get done vs what can slide. Y’all have a good weekend!6 -

Have really been on a rollercoaster with the scale this week. My eating has been more nibbly than before, there's quite a few things making it to my mouth but not the tracker! Going to focus on tracking well this weekend.5 -

Bad week, I worked almost everyday, and a half the days were 12 hour shifts, then we are remodeling our house, finishing my sons room, and building a pantry. So all of my sons room is scattered around the house, it's terrible, so there has been a lot of crappy food this week. Hopefully this week will be better, I finally can use my kitchen again3 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. Went for my walk, swung by the grocery store after to grab some more veggie burgers that are on sale this week, got my gym rings workout done, lots of laptime for Tinus. My weight randomly went up which made me a little grumpy. Happy Saturday everyone

@iradi8 Yeah, that's the barn for the Drenthe heath sheep. They go out every morning to graze with the shepard and return in the evening so they have a pretty good life I think! It is also open to visitors so lots of kids come to see them as well. I think the cutouts are cute too.5

I've had quite a good week keeping within my calorie goals.Especially as we had a celebration meal out for my eldest son's 31st birthday. We went to our favourite Greek restaurant.
I also tried a yoga class at the gym for a second time.It was still really difficult.I haven't done any stretching exercises for a long time.I found I couldn't even sit crossed legged on the floor ! I was OK with the poses when standing but I need to stretch every day to be able to do the other poses.
@Pupowl I love your planner it's so pretty. The stationary section in any store is always my favourite place to browse.
I love boxes too,I'm always adding to my collection.
Have a great Saturday all ❤️4
