Yesterday was our 35th wedding anniversary. Hub had custom gift-wrapping paper that say's Happy Anniversary, 35 years just getting started on it. I didn't know you could get custom wrapping paper. He surprised me with a framed picture of a heart drawn in the sand at the beach and it has both of our names and the year we were married. Too sweet. I've saved the best for last; he got me a diamond bracelet; it has 41 matched diamonds and its 11 Carat's so beautiful and sparkly Color D, Clarity VS1 I think it's very expensive but he's not telling.
I'm still riding my Trike, only missed a couple of days. Lol my food diary is finally giving me some exercise calories, I had to disconnect my Fitbit and reconnect it to MFP. I thought I had exercise calories, but it has not posted any for a few months now and I thought I just didn't earn any.
It's hard to stay strong for the holidays with all of the yummy treats I see everywhere, online, printed catalogs and the stores. There's only a couple of more weeks; OMG I need to shop for hubs birthday gift now.2 -

@DrewsAnna Yep get some moving done, at least dance to a fun song! I'm struggling with winter blues I need to get more activity in too.
@FushiaKat Happy Anniversary! Your husband did very good congratulations on all the awesome and thoughtful gifts.
@Lialisa123 Hope you're feeling better soon!
@TeresaW2024 Haha I haven't tried any yet I will tonight and get back to you! For the diffuser don't get a small one if you like big cups or make a pot at a time as they always bust open (learned that with gunpowder tea). I DID pick out a bracelet last night, thanks! I'm honestly feeling like you ready to get by all the holiday stuff.
@trooworld Interesting I hope the headaches were from the Naprosyn too I'm glad you're not having as many. I'm glad your husband is being supportive. I think you may turn into a bean snob having black coffee, it has to be really good to drink it without cream or sugar! I've cut back a lot in that area and am pickier on coffee types. Thanks I did end up ordering a bracelet off Amazon that is basically a stretchy one then will probably get an Amaryllis bulb from Trader Joe's for her. As someone who gets gloomy with the weather having it bloom Jan-Feb helps. Haha silly on the organ! Trust me that's where the annoying organ jokes come in, “What organ do you play?” You're eating pretty good for a strict diet I'm glad you found ways to make it more enjoyable.
@Cornanda Thank you, hugs back! I had a keyboard that wasn't working right after I got it back, one thing I want to recommend is if you want to play songs with chords make sure there's sound that can handle that. My old Casio could only have 3 keys down at a time or it took away notes so that sounded real weird and frustrating. Ah I'm learning to limit the treats I make too since they're hard to stay away from. Love Gus under the tree!
@micaroo4 What did you order? Welcome to the Dark Side, lol!
Hi team! Got an allergy shot and medication refill appointment out of the way then worked out. I really need to clean but have my nephew's band concert tonight so I'll hopefully get some stuff done before and after. Not much else going on, have a great Thursday!1 -
@Katmary71 - I ordered the sampler box. I think there are 6 or 8 flavors in the pack. I'll see when it gets here.
-Mica0 -
@trooworld- lol on the organ, I'm glad your day went well.
@Katmary71 thank you for the keyboard info- that would never have occurred to me.
@FushiaKat - Those are some awesome gifts! Keep on trucking on your trike!

I feel good! I turned down Dairy Queen last. I wanted it, but I just told hubby, lets go home. We have homemade beef stew with lots of veggies.
Lol.... this was hard because I love the chicken strip basket that comes with a sundae and I always upgrade it to a blizzard.
Lol... also, my sister and I went to the mall yesterday. She was hungry and asked if I wanted to get lunch. I said, you go for it, I'm going to get a Protein Smoothie. And, that just what I did.
I did get a lot of walking done at the mall. My sister and I even got a picture with Santa.

@DrewsAnna Way to go on no DQ, great job! That IS a good basket I agree but being healthy looks good on you! Love you rockin the willpower left and right! Love the photo, you look beautiful (love your shirt too!).
@trooworld Shoot I'm sorry to hear your knee is hurting so bad, I hope it's just weather and will calm down afterward. I've learned not to catastrophize until I see if the worsened pain calms down with the weather, it's still real hard to deal with and I'm sorry you're going through this. I can't wait to see your decorations!
@askewcr You got this!
@Cornanda You're welcome.
@micaroo4 Teavana has a lot of sampler boxes the one I got is the seasonal one that just came out. They had some great Black Friday sales too, we'll have to compare and figure out the bet flavors!
Hi team! I had PT early then met the greenhouse team and we repotted herbs. I got a Seed Starter award and a Food Bank Farm hat too which was sweet. I went to the functional medicine practitioner's class and then came home and cleaned. A woman came and looked at my room for rent tonight, she's really nice but I want to do a background check just in case which she agreed to. She's a little older than me and is at the end of a divorce. She'd be gone on weekends to stay with her son's dog an hour away who has separation anxiety (she can't be awful if she does that right?). She works as a housekeeper part-time at a hotel too. I didn't sense anything bad about her aside of possibly a sketchy ex-husband but will do the background check as that's something if things DON'T go well I'd kick myself over. Not much else going on. Have a great Friday everyone!0 -
@trooworld @katmary71- What do you use swedish dish cloths for? I bought some, but haven't used them yet.
Lisa0 -
@trooworld Sorry your knee is hurting so much!
Will you do the liquid diet up to the surgery date? I don’t remember what you said about that.
@DrewsAnna Good job on turning down the Dairy Queen and making good choices at the mall. What a fun pic to have with your sister and Santa!!
@Katmary71 Congrats on the Seed Starter award! Very cool!!
I hope the woman works out and passes the background check. Did you get the impression that the divorce was ugly? It could work out great that she is gone on the weekends, which will give you some free time without her in the house. Oh, and thanks for the advice on the tea strainer.
@Cornanda I use my Swedish dishcloths in place of using a sponge to clean my counter tops. They work so well and I can just toss it in the wash and grab a new one. Pro Tip: Don’t dry them! They will curl up all weird. I wash and then lay flat on a towel to dry.
Good morning! For some reason, I woke up at 3 a.m. and stayed awake until 6 p.m. I predict I will be going to sleep early tonight. There is not much going on today other than cutting Joe’s hair, which has become way too unruly. Have a great day!

@Cornanda I actually didn't think of the Swedish dish cloths going in the wash I'm glad you asked! I've been throwing them away when they're gross. I use it like a dish sponge too, I put it in between the sinks hanging to dry. They don't get all stinky like sponges which is awesome plus when I wash down my counters it doesn't leave a film (I follow with granite cleaner but a sponge seemed to just smear dirt around).
@trooworld Interesting I hadn't thought of having a wipe down dishcloth and a dish one but that makes sense. With the woman last night she'd been a homeowner and married so the landlord reference wasn't applicable. We're working on the background check but in CA you need the signature of the person so I need to get that to her. I'm glad your knee is healing thank goodness! Wow one week away, you got this!
@TeresaW2024 Thanks! I had a night like that too my room was super light so I got up and it was only 1AM, I hate that! I hope Joe's hair comes out nice.
Hi friends! Busy morning I went to Trader Joe's for gifts/stocking stuffers and the grocery store (I bought 2 bags of 3lbs of mandarins not realizing I got them at the first store) and had two phone appointments. I'd offered to go to work for a bit in the afternoon but haven't heard anything. My neighbor invited me over for dinner so I'm on here a little early. For my friends from the charity I got amaryllis bulbs at Trader Joe's, it cheered me up last year to have it bloom in the house in January so I love the idea of them cheering everyone up in a month. I talked to a woman in Trader Joe's who wondered what they were and she ended up copying those and all my stocking stuffers (she was fun but it was funny when her cart matched mine). My old friend's (been friends for over 40 years) gift came, she turned 60 last week and I'd ordered a mug with 1964 facts and it was late. She was saying how she likes keeping her age a secret from people on her birthday so now I'm not very excited to give her the mug, it has fun details like top movies and songs in 64 but if she doesn't want people to know her age she'll have to use it at home. I think I told you all how my brother got an electric blanket from his MIL and is trying to rig it into a grounding blanket which I just got him and my SIL for Christmas and it was delivered right before he came over and talked about the stupid electric blanket and his brilliant solution. A friend told me it's a fire hazard so I'm still giving the mats and Earthing book but boy it feels like all my great ideas are a bust this year. Have a great Friday night and Sat!1 -
I'm having some mental health stuff going on. Add to that holiday craziness, and taking care of stuff for my mom, and I'm a little short on time. I will be posting weigh-ins but may be absent from the conversation until after Christmas.2

I had a couple of pretty good days. I did a short, little (11 min) workout yesterday, it was supposed to be a low impact workout, but 10 min into it, my feet were hurting very bad. Today, I did a 30 min low impact workout, lol... even though it was "low impact" I did some high impact sweating. 🥵 So, that makes 2 days in a row.
I have managed to work some veggies in my day the couple of days.
I'm trying to get back on the right track...2 -

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If we met you in person today for the first time, what would be the most impressive thing about you? Why are you impressive? We ALL are, so let's own it! If you're not sure, ask a loved one. My own impressive quality is that I'm intense. I get things done, but I can be a bulldozer.3

@Katmary71 I love the idea of getting people amaryllis bulbs! I got one a few years ago at a Christmas party and loved it. Heck, I need to go to TJ and buy myself one, at least!
Your friend will love the 1964 mug. I just watched one of my favorite influencers talk about grounding mats and ground sheets. It's fascinating stuff that I know very little about but would like to learn more.
@morenin I pray that you will find peace and let the craziness go as much as possible. A New Year is coming, so focus on that and be determined to make it a great year.
@DrewsAnna, great job getting in those workouts!
@trooworld We went to bed at our usual time and I slept like a rock!
You are doing great sticking to the liquid diet. I love it when I’m in bed at night and feel super hungry. I mentality embrace it and tell my fat to shut up and go snack on what is already available.:D You will feel so proud that you had a great family Christmas and focused on the people, not the food.
The tree is super cute!!
Good morning! I slept great, and I am ready to tackle the day! Not that I have anything to tackle!
Yesterday, I cut Joe’s hair, steamed my clothes, and wrapped the two gifts for my girlfriends. For my bestie, I bought her a hunting sweatshirt off of Etsy. It has pictures of camo bows, a deer stand, a rifle, and of course, a deer. It’s so funny that my best friend lives for deer season and loves sitting alone in a deer stand for hours.I would rather stab myself in the eye! She is a total weirdo and will love the shirt!
Gotta go wake up Joe and get a workout done. Have a great day!

@morenin Hugs to you I'm sorry to hear you're struggling (this time of year is hard too). We understand if you're not too talkative.
@DrewsAnna Great job on the workout! That stinks on the feet pain though I'm impressed you went up to a 30 minute one. What kind are you doing? I've been doing a challenge with some friends but don't like that the instructor does a lot of full body workouts when I do upper/lower workouts so I've been switching to Leslie Sansone ones. First time doing walking videos in awhile but I'm enjoying it. Way to go on veggies too keep up the great work!
ICE BREAKER QUESTION: Hm not really sure I get a lot of “sweet” and “kind” or “positive” comments. A new farm volunteer kept saying how friendly I was when we worked together so boring stuff like that. When I share some of my story it's the positive or resilient or strong type comments. Based on appearance I get jewelry questions or comments.
@trooworld Thank you! Shoot I'm sorry to hear about your knee I bet that's making you even more determined on surgery which is helpful right now with any doubts you may be having. Woohoo on 3lbs down that's awesome! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas celebration sending strength your way to get through it, you got this! The broth sounds yummy I'm glad you found a way to still treat yourself. Love your shrub!
@TeresaW2024 Thanks! I loved my amaryllis last year, one shoot came up and flowered then when it was all spent the next started so I had a flower for 2 months. Just wait until I share the latest with the grounding mats grrrr. Your gifts sound so thoughtful I love it! Check out Cliff Ober, he's in a few documentaries on earthing or grounding and I got his company's mats for my brother plus his book.
@bethanie0825 You rocked that party wtg!
Hey gang! Jessica can't run the big group challenge this week so any extra support and players would be very welcome, I'll be there for this one.
My SIL started sending me full-body mat links she's thinking of getting my brother. I told her what I bought them and already wrapped and she still thinks he needs a full-body red light therapy mat because my nephew's running coach says "red light therapy is the only thing that helps neuropathy." My brother and SIL don't believe you can have cured back pain and neuropathy in a foot from the back so it HAS to be full body (that logic would say you need a shoe red light not a full body but whatever, I did tell her to follow the spinal nerves at L4-S1 as I had foot numbness for years without back pain). I'll admit to being super grumpy and I just deleted a huge paragraph! One of the mats was encrusted with amethysts and my brother doesn't think Chinese medicine makes sense nevermind gemstone frequency healing, I was trying to ease him into functional medicine via a paid appointment with a machine that made him feel better he hasn't used with the practitioner I see and the grounding mats but sure who cares if he gets $1000 in numerous full body mats for Christmas.
Have a great Sunday!1
