Tiesta tea- tried Sexy Hot X-Mas which is cocoa chili black tea, I really like it but "natural flavors" is a little disappointing I wish it just said what was added as it mentioned soy and sugar in the chocolate and Id rather know everything. I bought a holiday sampler and saw a few large sizes I'm considering. It's strong enough that I'm making another cup and didn't need to add much. Curious on calories with the chocolate too but not super worried.

@baodell17724 - it's so easy to gain weight, and so hard to lose it. We all get off track from time to time. I'm glad you are back on the path! HUGS!

@Katmary71 I can feel your annoyance with your SIL. :D It can be hard to educate people who already think they know what is the right way to do something. I sure hope your brother enjoys all his mats. :) I looked at the products on the Cliff Ober site. Very interesting! I spend so much time at my desk or table working on a puzzle that it would be cool if I could get an under-desk footrest!

@trooworld I’m glad your family's Christmas celebration went well, especially with the wine offered. You have more willpower than I do to make pretzel turtle bites and not be able to eat any. Wayyy to go, and what a great challenge for yourself. :)

Good morning! I’ve been thinking a lot about my weight and what to do about it. Clearly, I can’t keep ignoring it! :D So, when we begin the New Year, I will return to weighing in here for accountability. For my diet, I will keep it simple and do IF for at least 16 to 20 hrs most days while eating primarily whole foods. Sounds doable, doesn’t it? We shall see! ;)

A bit surprised considering the binging I ended up doing this weekend. Gotta be good this week.

I gave into Wendys last night. It made me kind of sick. Today, though is a lot of water kind of day. The sun is shining and that is motivating. So, it's going to be a good day.

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If we met you in person today for the first time, what would be the most impressive thing about you?

I have been debating whether or not to answer this as it could be perceived as negative.

If we were to meet each other today for the first time I would have to say nothing impressive would be noticed. I am quiet. While I can be chatty I am not chatty during introductions. I’m borderline awkward. I can say hi and introduce myself but then I’m clueless. On a side note this is why I’m terrible at interviews.

@baodell17724 You have the right idea brush yourself off and get back to it!

@19shmoo69 Love your answer I'm awkward too and can seem normal but I'm nervous enough not to remember people's names (memory sucks from medications). I'm glad you answered when I saw your weigh in posted alone I was thinking how I missed you chatting more here and was going to send you a message. Glad you decided to share with us.

@trooworld Thank you! Glad to hear you're doing well on the diet aside of the broth yesterday. I had to laugh at the gifts even though I know you're a little annoyed, I deal with that with my family and being allergic to artificial fragrance is completely ignored along with candy. That wine will be nice in the future. I struggle with the social stuff just like what you said with the wine where you don't want to be a pain or seem ungrateful, you did great!

@TeresaW2024 I decided while I was shopping and thinking of boycotting Christmas Eve that I'll be a good sport for my nephews but I'm a grinch inside this year. The earthing mats that are full body they show on a bed on his website (like a single size) his and hers were on sale on Amazon in a two pack, I was so excited when that dropped the early Black Friday and ordered it right away! I bought the book he wrote too but haven't wrapped it yet as I'd like to read it. I watched a bunch of different YouTube videos and there's documentaries on YouTube as well. I don't think it's a cure for every ailment but if it helps you feel more in touch and centered that's a plus. Yes your eating plan definitely sounds doable you've done it before and you will do it again! A funny tidbit around Thanksgiving there was an article that said RFK was causing chaos frying a turkey in beef tallow while barefoot in his yard. My brother listens to Adam Corolla and a few others who tout keto then knows about grounding so I sent it to him and we had a good laugh at RFK grounding and avoiding seed oils while frying his turkey causing “chaos”.

@sleepygirl79 Yay that's a great weigh in after a binge, wtg!

@DrewsAnna Yikes sorry to hear you not feeling good after Wendy's, it's weird how we know we probably won't feel well but still want it. Hope you get some time to enjoy the sun.

@vegan4lyfe2012 @morenin @sleepygirl79 Way to go team leaders!

Hi friends! Got my stocking stuffer shopping done and finished another cookie batch. I'm only working for a couple hours in the afternoon tomorrow so I should be able to get everything else finished (stamps and a couple small things). I'd gone to World Market and was there for a few hours and was getting dizzy so I got caramel popcorn for the ride home and Werther's caramel popcorn tastes amazing but my stomach did NOT like it. Not the healthiest day after that I had some split pea soup with a chunk of bread and a couple of the cookies I made and am having my vitamin drink now. I'm trying to maintain for now but @TeresaW2024 and @trooworld are inspiring me to start logging my weigh ins next month too. Have a great Monday friends!

It's really too bad when gift giving and receiving gets annoying- everything is supposed to be joyful at this time of year, but we are humans, so that can't always be true.

@trooworld- I'm glad your family thing went mostly well, except for the bathroom part.... :) You are doing a great job on your diet. Good luck with the surgery prepping.

@Katmary71 - I hope things turn out well with the mat in the long run and that your nephews make Christmas Eve enjoyable.

@baodell17724- I'm bad at math, but it looks like you've already lost 50ish pounds, so this is just a detour. You've been doing it and you can keep doing it!

@19shmoo69- This is me. And I don't shove my way into the conversation with super chatty people. I need space to enter a conversation. For some reason, I attract people who can talk about themselves for hours. (Probably because I'm a good listener, but no one wants to do 100% of the listening) I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I have a secret fear that I'm boring. I know I am not. But I tell myself that if people don't want to find out who I really am, then they aren't the type I want as friends. I don't have a lot of friends. Which is sort of OK, and sort of not.

@Katmary71 HaHa that is hilarious about RFK! He sure will be the one to watch next year if he gets confirmed. :D Many people in the Keto and Metabolic health community are all about getting outside barefoot and frying meat in beef tallow. I’m all for it! ;) Your nephews will appreciate you not Grinching on them. Let’s all weigh in next year! :)

@Cornanda This can be a tough time of year for many people. Hang in there, girl! And I would be your friend. I attract quiet, sweet women. :)

@trooworld With all of us returning to weigh-ins, our little team will rock the Leaderboard! ;) I bet you have a list of things to do before the surgery. Are you getting more excited or nervous?

Good morning! I had an hour-long conversation with my boss this morning, and now I have more on my to-do list. The funniest part is that I was the one to name our last two sermon series and come up with the graphic, and he just naturally assumed that was what I would do for the next one. He gave me an outline of the topic and told me to let him know what I came up with. I’m not sure how to feel, but I’m going with being flattered. :D I also have some housework and laundry to do. Joe and I are planning an outing this week to go to lunch and do a little shopping. The man is determined to buy me something. So I guess I will let him. :)

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If we met you in person today for the first time, what would be the most impressive thing about you?

I’ve been thinking about this, and if you met me in person today, the first thing you would be impressed by is how loud I am. I’m not kidding. I am a deaf person’s best friend! I also have the great blessing of being louder than my dog, which comes in handy to shut her up when she is barking her fool head off. You would also be impressed at how quickly I could make you laugh…mostly at me. ;):)

@Cornanda that picture of Gus is way too cute! At first I thought there was little mittens from hanging down from the tree we're decorations in his hair🤣

@trooworld your surgery must be coming up soon, how are you doing?

Quick check-in. I have not been good at either tracking or going to the gym. Really surprised that I am not up more than I am. We celebrated my mom and bonus daughter's birthday we ordered Chinese food and had ice cream cake for dessert on Saturday just before my weigh in🤣.
Tomorrow's goal is to track all day!

How do you stay motivated or recover from setbacks if your holiday plans disrupt your routine?
Since Thanksgiving, it has been one unplanned lifestyle disruption after another. Usually I am cooking everything at home, but this month we've had a lot of invitations. My nutrition and exercise plans have both suffered setbacks and disruptions. My plan, when I can get off the holiday train, is to go right back on my normal meal plan and exercise. The weather has impacted my walking, but I'm giving myself a pass on that until after the start of the new year. I've got alternative exercise plans when the weather stops me from walking.

@19shmoo69 Haha I was wondering if it was that, I think the bare feet are necessary though!

@micaroo4 I'm thinking like you to get right back on track, I know the better I do that the more successful I am.

QUESTION: How do you stay motivated or recover from setbacks if your holiday plans disrupt your routine? Getting back to it as soon as possible, I was very unhappy with my weight at the doctor's earlier so I think that will help me not get carried away this next week then I'll get back to it.

@trooworld That's frustrating about people not being mindful of being sick around others, I'm glad you're taking it into your own hands and wearing the mask. That would be super frustrating if you had to delay surgery over getting sick from someone! Oh the mask will help a lot at the party! When I used Invisalign having to take it out to eat, brush my teeth, and put it back in helped a lot with snacking. Only a few more days, yay! Hahaha that's funny about your wine comment, I'm trying so hard to be better about stuff like that. I did try the “nice perfume but I'm allergic to it so there's that” and it didn't work. I think Christmas may throw it off but after my back surgery I managed to get a few different free first deliveries from stores. Walmart delivery may be worth it for a month too.

@laurelfit57 Great seeing you we were on at the same time last night. Sounds like a delicious birthday and you had a great weigh in for just celebrating especially Chinese food!

@TeresaW2024 I think you're extremely important and valuable to your church and pastor, they're lucky to have you. Aw I hope you and Joe find something you just HAVE to have I love that. How funny I wouldn't have guessed you were loud.

@txcritter69 No worries just happy to see you! Happy birthday to our handsome Diesel!

@Cornanda I think you said it perfectly with no one wants to do 100% of the listening. I'm learning to speak up more but because I genuinely am interested in people and ask questions and listen I sometimes feel overwhelmed or like I never can get anything off my chest. Please feel free to talk more here I'm always happy to see your posts. Thank you my nephews make Christmas great I'm lucky to have them.

Hi friends! Had my last morning of PT, I didn't realize it was my last day but I think I got what I needed out of it. Also had the pain clinic today and yikes on my weight, I can't afford to wait until after Christmas to eat better but it will be challenging with parties. I got invited to a practitioner party Friday and am a little nervous, I got the white elephant gift and kind of wish I said no but Yvonne really wanted to treat me to dinner for it (we're having parties Thursday with white elephant gift exchanges plus I have a gift for her so it's a lot). I hit the stores again for appetizer stuff. Not much else going on, have a great night and happy Wednesday.

Happy almost Christmas! I've been riding my Trike most days, I love wearing the Bike Shorts under my skirt. My hands get pretty cold, but other than that I'm pretty warm. I'm done Christmas shopping. My husband got me a Swarovski Advent Calendar, its fun getting a new crystal every day. The theme this year is a Train with train cars. So adorable. Tonight, I got a big snowflake. I'm hoping tomorrow to get a new train car.

We just had some work done to our wrap around deck to help the rainwater run off instead of pooling. Hopefully it will work. I want it to rain so we can see if all that work made a difference.

    Merry Christmas!

@trooworld I think wearing a N95 mask is a good idea for you right now. What a horror it would be if you came down sick. I would make everyone stay 6 feet away, too! :D How soon after the surgery do you think you will be able to come on here and let us know how you are doing? We all will be sending you our thoughts, prayers, and good vibes for an uncomplicated surgery and a fast recovery. Ugh on the migraine, and I hope it’s gone soon! <3

@Katmary71 It’s hard to keep our weight under control when faced with all the holiday foods. Just keep doing your best; the New Year will be here soon. :)

@FushiaKat, I’m glad you are enjoying your Trike so much. Wow, a Swarovski Avent calendar sounds magical! For years, Joe bought me a Waterford crystal ornament every year. I have a lovely collection that I just love! :)

Good morning! Very little going on today. It’s going to rain so staying home today. It’s trash day, and I have Sam's and Walmart orders coming, so Maggie should have a good barking day. :D Tomorrow, Joe and I are planning our Christmas lunch and shopping. I also have to buy iced tea and lemonade for the church because there is another potluck this Sunday! Ugh, don’t get me started!! :#

How do you stay motivated or recover from setbacks if your holiday plans disrupt your routine?
It’s hard to stay motivated or recover from a setback this time of year, but I try to stick to some basics, like working out and fasting for at least 12 to 16 hours.

Can't take much if any credit for this weight loss. I think it had to do with salt leaving my body, monthly cycle leaving. Didn't eat the greatest, didn't work out, in the process of getting over a cold. I'm just grateful I didn't gain this week.

Yesterday, (Tuesday) I was 160.2, but I binged last night. I don't feel proud, my stomach hurts from it, and the scale reflected my binge. I'm thankful that I have a loss, but kicking myself for binging because I know it could've been so much better.
