    MERRY CHRISTMAS MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES!

    @Cornanda Thank you!

@trooworld Aw that's sweet of Violet glad she's taking good care of you! I wish I could tag along with you I want to see that movie so bad, let me know what you think! I'll probably have to go alone.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO ON CHRISTMAS DAY? We celebrated at my parent's house last night and I spent the night as I can't see well to drive in the dark, I came home real excited to have downtime to read which sounds silly but I had 50 pages left of a 700+ page book and was looking forward to getting in bed with the kitties and reading.

@TeresaW2024 I saw the Teavana 2024 Advent calendar is on sale both on Amazon and their website, that would be a fun way to break in your new tea infuser. Thanks! The burn stings a lot but honestly it's not as bad as my CRPS, it does itch. Sure I can do that with posting the book. Interesting I wonder why the decorations were upsetting Joe? Way to go on getting them all down!

@micaroo4 Oh no sorry to hear about your laptop! Love the meme thank you and right back atcha!

@DrewsAnna Enjoy your Christmas with the family!

@bobboyardee Sorry I tagged you for the weigh in I didn't see yours until I was responding to everyone.

@FushiaKat Have a wonderful time with your husband and enjoy the little piece of cake! Interesting on the cat my brother's cat can no longer clean herself and is having skin issues, I've been trying to figure out what they should be doing but she really needs to see the vet.

@lisalisa123 Thank you got it logged! Merry Christmas to you and pass it from us to your mom too!

Hi friends, Merry Christmas! Was at my parent's house yesterday, they did the luminaries and my brother's family and I were with my folks plus their neighbors came over. It was nice, I spent the night because I can't see well at night and their carbon monixide detector went off at 4AM about 4 feet from me. I left after breakfast and finished my book plus have been cleaning up the kitchen to make room for when my roommate moves in. Not much else going on, have a great Thursday! It' my nephew's birthday not sure if we're doing anything for it or not, he's going to be 16 yikes!

@Katmary71 I mentioned to my sister that I wanted to get some teas, but I didn’t specify, and she came home with several boxes of Twinnings that were on BOGO. So we will have to use those up first. :) I just read that people with dementia can have a hard time with change and with things like lights and clutter. He has mentioned several times now how nice the house looks, so I will have to rethink Christmas decorations next year and probably put up much less stuff. Yikes to having to be woken up at 4 am to that alarm. Was there an actual carbon monoxide issue? Our nephews are growing up! Mine just turned 11, and Elena will be seven on Saturday. New roommate? Did I miss something? :D

@trooworld Congrats on the weight loss! I know that must make you so happy and hopeful going forward. That is good that your shoulder pain is gone. Did you find out when you will you be able to drive? Yeah, don’t get dehydrated! Bummer that you didn’t enjoy the movie.

Good morning! Christmas at my house was incredibly mellow. My sister and I worked our puzzle much of the day. We had a good dinner and watched the end of A Christmas Story and then Elf. And now we can return to real life! Today, I will work out and organize the junk food so it’s not just hanging out on the kitchen counter calling my name. I’m ready to get back to fasting and not feeling full all day long. :)

@TeresaW2024 You're down for a Tuesday weigh-in I'm going to report my weighing in too so if you'd like that changed please let me know soon.

@trooworld You're set for Fridays unless you'd like me to change it, I'll wait for Teresa to reply then go request it all at once and remind them the three of us are back weighing in.

MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES please let me know if you'd like your weigh-in day changed in the next few days before the new spreadsheet starts. Thank you! You're all doing great with the weigh ins right now no one's late and we're all caught up!

Welcome @jellytree @AprilRaineyBattle ! We're glad you're here, jump right in! At the start of the month we all do recaps about ourselves which will make it a lot easier for you to get to know all ofo us. I look forwar to getting to know you!

@TeresaW2024 I love the Christmasy teas I hope the Twinnings are good ones! That's pretty interesting on issues with decorations I'd imagine you can find a way to have a little and not do too much. My SIL was saying today how much more she's enjoying Christmas not having gone overboard decorating. I decided to take mine down early since I'm cleaning and making room for my roommate. You have an office/workout space right? Maybe you can decorate in there instead? Roommate is moving in on the first, she came over about 2 weeks ago and passed the background check so she's moving in on the 1st. Happy birthday to Elena! The detector gave out no emergencies!

@trooworld Oh no I'm sorry to hear that about the movie, shoot! The woman who's almost divorced from the alcoholic husband is moving in on the first, she passed the background check. Woohoo that's awesome on the total loss already! I hope you can still drink a decent amount flush all the surgery meds out of you. I'm glad your shoulder is feeling better too!

Hi team! Been cleaning today in between reading Lisa Marie Presley's book, I'm getting the rooms and garage ready then organizing the kitchen more . I picked up drawer liners and some organizing stuff and am loving the kitchen being more organized so far. Wish I had about a month to get things ready but I'll do my best.

Here's the information on The Craving Cure if anyone wants to do a group “book club” on it. I'll need to put it on hold from the library but have read it. https://www.juliarosscures.com/introducing-the-craving-cure-an-excerpt/

    Have a great Friday!

Welcome to all our new members! You will love it here! :)

@Katmary71 Yes, I will begin weighing in on Tuesdays once the new month begins. I have the same question as trooworld on what beginning weight to use? I prefer to be treated as a newbie and have a fresh start. :) I think for the decorations next year, I need to force myself not to put them up too early, and yeah, I will tone it down depending on where Joe is in his mental state. I hope your new roommate works out and will even be a good friend to you. :)

@trooworld I’m so happy that you are doing so well and were able to get out and walk a little. Every day, you will get stronger and able to do more and more. So excited for you! :)

Good morning! I deep-cleaned my workout room and set up my new vibration plate yesterday. I stood on it for about two minutes, and it was such a weird feeling. I will play with it more this morning when I go work out. :) Today, I have a call with my tech guy to input the new church budget and help me with a few other issues, so I'm ready for the new year. Have a great day! :)

Anyone but me relate to this! :D:D:p

    @jellytree @AprilRaineyBattle @AnAbsoluteDiva WELCOME!!!

    Good morning Slimpossibles!

This is the time of year when I read through my journal of the past year, and reflect on where I'm at, where I want to be, what's been working, and what no longer serves me. It's good to pause and reassess. My life, my body, and my goals all change over time. What worked 3 months ago needs tweaking now. Walking outdoors in the freezing cold seems a little too challenging right now. The perfect morning routine from September doesn't work as well in the winter. Small adjustments might make things flow a bit better.

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: Now that the holidays are behind us, are you planning on making changes to your goals or your routines?

Good morning. I believe I've been moved to another Team (Downsizers) and I removed my info from the Slimpossibles Excel sheet. I don't want to break the rules so if you'll remove me from this thread, I would appreciate it. Wishing you all the very best this coming year; I look forward to what lies ahead.

@trooworld @TeresaW2024 Good question on what we start with I'll ask, I'd prefer to start now too and not have it say that I gained 30lbs from my last weigh-in! I'm going to go with Friday as my weigh in day too, I'll go ask on the starting weight and be right back.

@TeresaW2024 The new spreadsheet is starting on Sunday can you weigh in on the 31st?

I asked Lauren and will get back to @trooworld and @TeresaW2024.

@AnAbsoluteDiva I don't see you on the spreadsheet, let me know if you'd like to stay here and I'll let Lauren know. Even us captains who log weights aren't supposed to edit the spreadsheet names so if you see this in time please don't do anything to it and let me know where you'd like to be and I'll report it in the captain's thread for Lauren to edit. Thank you! Wishing you the best of luck I know you'll love this group! Welcome to the team and larger group!

@micaroo4 Good moring! I love you reevaluating everything, I'm doing that right now too in a way less organized way.

NOW THAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE BEHIND US, ARE YOU PLANNING ON MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR GOALS OR YOUR ROUTINES? Yes I'm planning to eat healthier and get back to working out. The latter I almost never fall off of but I haven't been able to lift weights with my burn. Food has been a free-for-all so that definitely needs to change!

@TeresaW2024 Where did you get that pic of me, haha! The vibration plate is weird it feels a lot like the internal tremors I get, the first time I did it I panicked as it brought back how I felt at my worst. You'll get used to it. Here we come New Year!

@trooworld I think we'll just weigh in but I asked Lauren how she'd like us to do it and will get back to you and Teresa. Love you being outside walking! I hope Sam's went well for you too.

Hi team! Been cleaning and rearranging, not much else going on. Have a great Saturday!

Hi Slimpossibles! Thanks for having me here. I'm Jess, I'm 38 and live in New Zealand. I work in an office in a role that is basically being a professional nagger. Long hours and stress mean I've really dropped the ball on tracking and being active.

I signed up for MFP a few months ago in a spurt of motivation that led to... well, not much. So when I saw the post in the forums I had a poke around and this looks like a great place.

Feels like I don't have much of a life outside of work at the moment, but I enjoy going to see a show/live music, and have been thinking about picking up dragon boating if I can organise my time properly.

    ICE BREAKER QUESTION:
For me it's more about setting some routines and goals in the first place. Still thinking it through, but I'm hoping to start by getting into tracking everything and then cutting calories to something sustainable. And to also start being active in tiny doses and then work on increasing that. There's plenty of things I'd like to do but I'm trying to keep it small and sustainable to start!

I'm hoping some of you will have some great plans/ideas that I can use as inspiration :)

@jellytree - start small, baby steps. Don't revamp your whole life, all at once. Pick one thing to focus on, and make it a habit. Make another change when you feel the first change has become easy. I started my exercise program by walking for just 10 minutes per day. I'd walk away from the house for 5 minutes in one direction, then turn and walk back. Gradually, I extended the time. With food, you could start by logging all your meals and snacks, but if that's overwhelming, then commit to logging 2 meals every day until it gets easier.

@Katmary71 Yes, I plan on weighing in on Tuesday the 31st. :)

@jellytree Welcome to the Slimpossibles!! New Zealand is a place I’ve always wanted to visit. A professional nagger is too funny! I’m a church secretary and I nag a lot too! :D What is dragon boating?

@Cornanda, I’m right there with you in having one of the worst eating years ever, and I, too, feel gross and am ready to get back on track. We got this!! :)

Good morning! We were supposed to have a birthday party here for my 7-year-old great-niece, but all the kids are sick. So we will have our party next week. :/ I saw this thing yesterday on TikTok where people are swapping the contents of their kitchen cabinets with their pantry items, which could be brilliant. Why do I have two upper cabinets filled with containers and mixing bowls and have to walk into the pantry for the everyday food items? Swapping makes so much sense. So, on this cold rainy day, that is what I plan to do! :)

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: Now that the holidays are behind us, are you planning to change your goals or routines?

I am ready to get on with the New Year and get this junk food out of my house! I’ve been looking into body measurement apps because I don’t plan to rely only on the scale to tell me how I’m doing. After doing one of her workouts, I also signed up for Body Groove yesterday. Has anyone done Body Groove? It was so fun, and I can incorporate that with rebounding to keep things different. I also will get back to lifting weights. My diet will consist of fasting, no snacking, and keeping those portion sizes down! I’m ready to shrink!!! :)
