    I 100% feel you on wanting to hibernate CeeBee! I've been thinking the same. Every winter, SAD (seasonal affective disorder) hits me. I take my vitamin D, get any sunlight I can, and try to stay active and positive. Still, I'm feeling like I want to crawl under the covers until spring. lol

    And ugh to the cold damp rain. I only like the rain when its bedtime because it puts me to sleep. I'm so sincerely grateful to God for my gym's cardio equipment to get my happy endorphins. <3:smile:

    Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. One day of indulging a just a pound over. I’ll take it. Spent the day as I always do - with the fam, watching Jesus/Christmas movies all day long! Back on track today. 💪💪

    Monday: ✔️ Quads, Calves and abs with a side of cardio done.

    Lower back has been inflamed several days/weeks. started waking me up intensely at night so I started to do self care and stop my lifting and back work. Quads/Calves is about the only lower body part I can do. And SHoulders/Arms is the only upper body. I am recovering.... slowly feel like I'm getting better.

    One thing I do know, I have to really work on tightening my core as I lift.


    Last night, slept decent. Only woke up a couple times and it wasn't because I was in pain. WIN WIN. Now to be smart today and not do anything stupid. I should still get a chiro. appt. for today.

    **Reminding myself of my weeks goals:
    1️⃣ 100g Protein today
    2️⃣ Track water. 100oz (including coffee.)
    3️⃣ To be within 50g of carb goal of 100g
    4️⃣ Hit 14,000 steps average daily.

    PT later today for shoulder

    Only woke up 2times I think last night. So the Extra attention to stretching is helping. I know that my hips and buttocks feels much better also. Just a little while more.

    I did NOT go see the chiropractor.

    Monday- Hit all my goals. 🧡

    2. Do not be conformed to this world.
    3. There are certain foods (and drugs) in this world that you should avoid.

    #1 - one way to be more in the word of God with my health
    #2 - Conforming to this world in how we dress, speak, AND Eat
    #3 - You can always take a break from certain foods and see how you feel. If you dont feel better - then you can re-add them. But certain things that we have in this world, we don't need to use. Drugs(cocaine) would be an example of ONE item. Why not add a few foods to this list also.... Such as taking a break from:
    * Sugar
    * White flours
    * Fake foods

    Focus more intently on Whole Foods

    I really really say I want a few days of "good" before I do the scale. I thiink it will just put me in a spiral. So I am not going to I want to be able to lay aside my burdons that ensnare me.

    And, I am using today to focus on whole foods.
    Meal 1 was good. Fruits and a protein coffee.
    1 TBS of Swerve sweetener.

    I agree sis! I cut out sugar and all flours years ago. I think they are false "food". I believe, as followers of Lord Jesus, we have been give the Christ mind, which allows us to understand the enemy's lies and imitate Lord Jesus to become more Christ-like.

    I think that's a good idea. I have been trying to be less upset about the number on the scale because I'm concerned I was making it my idol.

    Happy New Year! Can’t believe it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Busy season, readying for my niece to ship off but trying to focus on her happiness and excitement than nervous about losing my caregiver partner. It’s also the first year since my mom’s stroke 13 years ago on NYE that I didn’t obsess on the minute by minute details of that day. Progress.

    Funny you say that @justgirl81. I now weigh, log, look and TRY my best to do either do better or applaud my efforts. Either way, I did not want to give that number a power I shouldn’t. I could find myself thinking about the weigh-in number as soon as I opened my eyes - before I read my daily devotional and said a prayer. That - I have to stop.

    I gained a pound over the holidays after consistently losing but that’s way less than in past years and I’m trying to prep and plan my meals. It so funny my coffee mug has a Bible verse “God is within her. She will not fall”. Psalm 46.5. I REALLY internalized that today and will try to from hereonin.

    That’s my mantra now and also using it for
    my mom - less sitting more movement.

    We can do this!!! 💪❤️✝️

    Beast day 1 Chest and Triceps done. Not too bad at all. Was in Zone 1 for the entire workout ...
    I'm trying to tell myself that's an okay thing.
    But honestly
    I would rather be in zone 5+ the entire workout (mentally feels better).

    Tomorrow Cardio + Mobility.
    Finally slept all night without waking up in pain. one of the few times since April.

    Again - my goal this year is not injuries. Therefore the goal is NOT to be sore/in pain.
    Which means I am doing 3 or 4 strength days a week.
    Legs in the gym either Wed. or Thursday. Either way, it will be really really cold.
