Hi 👋
I'm still here. I'm having a hard time with my Wegovy prescription, my insurance approved the increased, but the script was written up wrong and the pharmacy says that isn't right. I need the increase, though, because my body has got used to my current dose and I'm struggling again. I have lost between 7-9 lbs, that's not vvery much considering I've been using the Wegovy since mid-November.
I'm going to try and be more active on here. I do check almost everyday, but I don't post. I never really know what to say.3 -

@AprilRainyBattle where in Mexico are you going this summer?
@TeresaW2024 because I am a guardian home for Ty, she will be staying with Shauna the breeder. Vannie has never stayed with anyone besides my son and I was quite nervous about finding a place for her. When I asked Shauna if this other trainer that I know it was still doing boarding, she told me that she was expecting Vannie to come along with Ty. So that will be really good that they will be there together. What did you put in that agenda that the pastor thinks he needs to come to talk to you about it L O L? Huge congratulations to you for the loss, 15 pounds is amazing!!
@trooworld I really have to see puppy bowl! That sounds way too cute🥰. Vannie definitely does not try to bop the ball, she just tries to steal it away from Ty🤣. Trying to fit water into your life sounds like it is very strategic, I don't think I would do well! Your dinner sounds REALLY good!
I started to watch puppy bowl, both my dogs were going crazy lol. I tried to watch it with no sound, but I can see sound is a big part, I will have to watch it after Ty is in bed.
I must admit that I am not a football fan and find it extremely boring. I saw this Australian guy who was trying to watch the Super Bowl for the first time because he had heard what a big deal it was. It was hilarious! He was about as excited as I am when watching football, he was a very disappointed after all the hype.
am so thankful when the dogs each have a class right now, they at least get some exercise. I get some good exercise in as well :-).
Trying to get ready for Mexico, so many odds and ends. It is nice we will be staying in an all inclusive, something that I have never done before. Has anyone stayed at an all-inclusive in Mexico? I am trying to figure out tipping.
So many little odds and sods to think about when getting ready. Before Covid I used to travel a lot, I haven't travelled since then.
I am going to go and kick my feet up, hope everybody had a great day!1 -
WEIGH IN UPDATE
Reminder TO WEigh In Tomorrow to @DrewsAnna @lisalisa123
WAY TO GO TEAM on being caught up with weigh ins right now, thank you!
@AnAbsoluteDiva No you're good with the weigh in, thank you for checking! The weigh ins are totaled up Sat night so as long as you aren't later than that it isn't an issue. If you ARE later than that it just means I go and report it as late and not a "No Weigh In". If there's two No Weigh Ins in a row without reaching out to captains then someone is dropped from the team. Good news is even if you ARE dropped once you're a member of this team you can jump back in at any time and you don't have to go through the new member thread at the start of the month.1 -
@DrewsAnna I'm sorry to hear about the problems with the prescription. As far as checking in you're welcome to talk about anything you'd like. Have you tried any new recipes lately?
@micaroo4 I used to do FitOn there's some fun workouts on there. I love how much you change it up!
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO SWITCH UP YOUR WORKOUTS AND KEEP THEM INTERESTING? I'm limited since I can't do a lot with my legs but I'm usually doing at least one challenge a month. This month I'm doing a “flat ab” challenge with some friends, I have to choose different exercises for some stuff like planks but otherwise still choose something similar. I change up music too. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/3940718419451812/
@trooworld Oh I think you need to have a picture of a roller skater on your vision board my friend! That should definitely be a future goal! I'm glad you're feeling better. Yum your dinner sounds amazing I'm so glad they went well!
@TeresaW2024 I'm doing better today thanks for asking, I actually used my holy basil tincture, fermented garlic honey, and some immune herbal tea. Oh boy good luck with your pastor meeting! Oh I can't wait for you to hit the big 15!
@AprilRaineyBattle I'd guess you're retaining water if you're sore, hang in there! Thank you I'm doing better today.
@laurelfit57 Thank you I saw my GP to get tests ordered from the rheumatology appointment, luckily I was feeling better today. You sound like the best dog mom coming up with exercises to keep the pups thinking. Cabo sounds wonderful especially with that cold, have a wonderful trip! That IS an issue for the weigh in as all the totals are done Saturday night and posted on Sunday so you won't be weighing in for a full week. I can carry your weight over from the week before or report you'll be gone and we can skip that week for the weigh in (week weigh ins are Sun-Sat). Let me know which you'd prefer please.
Hi team! Love seeing all the posts! I'm feeling way better today, of course not sure if it was the fermented garlic honey, holy basil tincture, or the elderberry/lemon balm tea I added tumeric root and ginger root to but definitely happy about it. I had my appointment to get tests ordered and finally have CRPS on my record now which will mean I can fight for other treatments. Something else came up and she's concerned about my thyroid and parathyroid so along with all the scans I need to have bloodwork done too. I stopped at the greenhouse to wash pots and trays as it will be raining Thursday and got all the lemon balm, spearmint, peppermint, and catnip into bigger pots. We have a big storm coming in and I'm definitely feeling it. I'm helping clean up the thrift store with the Ministry tomorrow and a few friends are going to come, I think it's going to be fun having us all pitching in. Have a great Wednesday!1 -

Hi all, it's been really chilly here today, so I just went for a short ride. Tomorrow I will spray our fruit trees with some fungal spray, it has leaf curl. It's caused by rain and leaves on the ground. I found some ripe pomegranates on our tree, so yummy. I'm mixing that and strawberries diced up together. Right now, I'm into eating Red Pears. There are some really good one's this year.
Thursday, I have a doctor's appointment for a 3-month checkup. Insurance companies and pharmacies should not get involved in which medications I take. I'm getting a medication direct from the manufacturer, so it was not on their list. It causes high cholesterol. She wanted to take me off that medication because I'm in the normal range, but that is what's keeping me there. Also, I'm turning 65 this year and I cannot believe how much information is directed to people 65 and older. I've had Medicare for over 10 years, but I must have gotten 50 invitations to join other health care groups. Valentines Day is coming soon I can't wait to see what I get since my Bike is an all-in-one gift for every occasion. Happy Valentine's Day ♥2 -
@micaroo4 That might be a good idea. My water bottle flashes a rainbow of colors when I haven't been drinking enough but I kind of tune it out. I will try setting alarms today and see how it goes. Thanks! Your deck of index cards is a great idea.
@DrewsAnna You can tell us about your day, you can answer the discussion questions (there are usually two posted a week), just chime in with whatever is on your mind!
@AnAbsoluteDiva Congrats on the loss!
@laurelfit57 It is totally cute! It's really hard to do the water. @micaroo4 had a good suggestion to try alarms so I just set 4 alarms throughout my workday...I already make it a goal to drink a 20-oz bottle on the way to and from work (and I do pretty good about that). That's funny about the dogs going crazy at Puppy Bowl. Violet watches it with interest but surprisingly doesn't bark. Daisy just sleeps lol. I find sports boring in general. Maybe it's because I don't know anything about them. I've never stayed in an all-inclusive nor stayed in Mexico so I can't say about the tipping.
@Katmary71 I would be too afraid of hurting myself lol. Thank you, dinner was good! That's good you do different challenges to keep it interesting. I'm glad you are feeling better. And good that you were able to get your tests ordered. Good luck with the cleanup!
DISCUSSION QUESTION: We all know that working out can get stale. What’s your favorite way to switch up your workouts and keep them interesting?
I'm really limited in what I can do right now but I try to do things like park further away from my destination and walk more, walk to someone's office to tell them something rather than email them, etc.
Hi all. I had a good day yesterday at work. I had my annual revue and it couldn't have gone better. I also moved my desk to the other side of the office facing a window so I could look out over the campus. I can just see a bit of the ocean in the distance. It's a better set-up for me. It's supposed to rain today, in fact, we are expecting what they are calling "the biggest storm of the season." I don't like driving in that kind of rainy weather as I work 35 miles away from home. Traffic will be even worse than usual. This is the kind of day that it takes 2 hours to get home. I took @micaroo4's advice and set some alarms for today so we'll see how it goes with drinking water.

@laurelfit57 That is great that Vannie and Ty will be able to be together!
My pastor likes to use a large desk calendar, and I am the keeper of the calendar, so he came over to look at it. And yes, we have a church Google calendar that everyone in leadership is on. He isn’t even old, but he sure acts like it!
I have never stayed at an all-inclusive, but I would love to one day!
@Katmary71 I’m glad you are feeling better and your magic potion seems to work.We are having rain all week and it’s back to being cold. I want the Spring to get here!!
@FushiaKat I am jealous of your pomegranates and pears! I agree with how crazy it can be with all the Medicare stuff. I handle all my husband’s stuff, and he gets these calls from people saying they were from Medicare. It’s a scam! Yesterday, I got another call on his phone, and the lady was very official, asking if he received his new card and just needed to verify some info. I told the lady that I don’t give info on the phone and would call Medicare myself. Click went the phone! So, be careful and stay alert to these scammers.
@trooworld I’m glad you are feeling better. Sunday was just related to your surgery. Will this delicate balance of food and water be a part of your life from now on? I’m sure the longer you do it, the easier and more intuitive it will become.Congrats on your good review and being able to move your desk to a more prime location. I sure wish I had an ocean view!
Gosh, you and Katmary are a long way apart, and both are talking about this massive storm. Traffic in the rain is the worst!!
Good morning! Still no news on the house, so we will see what today brings. I don’t have much going on today except a leadership meeting tonight at 7:30. I will be at home on Zoom since I can’t leave Joe. Tonight's dinner will be beef chimichangas and cheesy Mexican rice. My sister brought home these giant tortillas that were accidentally sent to the deli she works at, so I’ve been making something Mexican at least once a week.
Question: We all know that working out can get stale. What’s your favorite way to switch up your workouts and keep them interesting?
I am very fortunate to have a room dedicated to working out. I have all the weights, my rebounder, a vibration plate, and a Body Groove subscription. Add in YouTube and Bodi videos to work out, and it’s hard to get bored.

Hi 👋
Yep, the struggle is very real. Last night, I was absolutely starving, so I had a bowl of cereal at about 10:00-10:30. I know that wasn't a great idea, but I really was hungry and water just wasn't taking care of it.
After dinner is when I crochet, it keeps my hands and mind busy. I enjoy crocheting, something about starting a new project and finishing a new project is quite rewarding.
I believe that the prescription issue has finally been corrected. Atleast, I hope so.
@katmary71 I haven't tried any new recipes, I should though, that's something I enjoy.2 -
@bobboyardee – I hope you’re feeling better!
@Katmary71 – Following you back! I’m glad to see you’re feeling better. The elderberry lemon balm tea sounds yummy!
@trooworld – the Puppy Bowl is always so much more fun! I’m so glad you’re feeling better and the alarms are working. Setting alarms was my first thought…glad @micaroo4 mentioned it! What a great set up for your office! I can’t face my windows. I’m already too distracted by just my thoughts LOLs. Be safe in the rainstorm!
@laurelfit57 – Be sure to bring back warm weather from Cabo! I’m so glad your doggies will get to stay together while you’re on vacation. I agree with football. So boring. Only games I’ve ever “watched” or attended were ones where my children had marching band at halftime.
@TeresaW2024 – Oliver is freaking hilarious. His new “thing” is to take my hand and hold it to his cheek and say “nack” (snack). So funny how he tries to sweetly manipulate! Kismet will accept her treat from the kids, but I don’t allow them to touch her. I would feel terrible if she scratched any of them. I’m basically her only person that can hold her. She will either nip or scratch if she’s scared. Hunter got nipped once and is terrified of her LOLs. It’s typical behavior for a rabbit.
@DrewsAnna – I hope you get the script worked out soon.
@FushiaKat – Fresh pomegranates?!? Sounds heavenly!
@lislisa123 – Happy Belated Birthday! Hope it was fun and nice job on losing a pound!
Thank you everyone for the prayers for Amelia. The surgery went smoothly and by the time I left she was almost breathing on her own. Breathing tube was removed last night, oxygen removed this morning and the drain tube from her little side was removed this morning also. Now we just need her to be able to eat. Please continue your prayers that she will be able to eat properly. If she does consistently, she’ll only have to be there for another week to 10 days. She is a Fierce Fighter! I would nickname her FiFi (pronounced fee-fee), but don’t want anyone thinking I’m calling her a dog! LOLs
Today is my remote work day, so in between emails and whatnot I have cooked a batch of Royal Coronas so I can make Harissa beans for dinner (will serve over cilantro rice), baked sweet potatoes and roasted delicata squash. I did good yesterday at the hospital, too, by bringing my lunch with me (tofu, rice and asparagus). Snacked on grapes during my drive. It was stressful, but helped that I was with my people. My daughter-in-love’s twin sister, mom and dad were there, too and I’m so thankful they are friendly and inclusive. Here we are all wearing our Team Amelia sweatshirts.
2025 is MY year!

@FushiaKat Oh great score finding the pomegranates! Enjoy your delicious fruit. Wow that's a lot of invites into other health groups. I know AARP sent letters to my family AND my home to invite me to join when I turned 50. Hope you have a great Valentine's Day!
@trooworld Let us know how the alarms go! I feel the same as you about sports it doesn't hold my interest. Thank you! I'm so glad your review went well! Your placement where you can see some of the ocean sounds awesome. I hope you beat the storm I'm feeling it but it hasn't started raining here yet.
@TeresaW2024 Thank you! I'm with you Spring hurry yp! Yum enjoy your dinner it sounds delicious!
@LisaLisa123 Happy Birthday to you!
@DrewsAnna I'm so glad the prescription issue has been corrected. I was thinking of how you were interested in meal prepping for awhile, are you doing that at all?
@vegan4lyfe2012 The elderberry lemon balm tea is pretty herby then I added Tumeric and ginger root so it REALLY is under the “medicinal herbal tea” category! I kind of like it, the herby taste is growing on me. I'm so glad surgery went well for Amelia. Continued prayers for her and all of you. Dinner sounds awesome. I love the tees and especially all the smiles on everyone's faces!
Hi friends! The cleanup at the Ministry thrift store went well for the most part, my neighbor and my friend from the charity came and helped, we helped organize clothes and dishware and dealt with labeling things. My neighbor was a little rude about not wanting to handle stranger's clothing, I jumped right in and did it so I'm hoping there's no hard feelings by the owner over it. Worked out this morning but not a great food day. I was trying to go to a trivia night tonight with different neighbors but the storm coming in is making my pain pretty unbearable. She's not understanding and wants me to just come for a little bit even though I said I was in bed, I was feeling bad but I can't pay any attention to trivia feeling like this and while writing this I'm realizing I'm not going to push myself just because she doesn't understand which is her problem not mine. Have a great Thursday everyone!3 -
ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What do you do for fun?0
-
@TeresaW2024 Me too. I believe you are right. And yes, this delicate balance is going to be something I need to figure out as it will always be like this. Thank you! The view is nice but I usually leave the screen down because if I put both the blinds and the screen up, it's like a fish bowl and people walk by and look at me lol. So, there is this screen that I can sort of see through but people can't really see me, and I leave that down. When my officemate was still in the office, I couldn't have the blinds up because the sun gave her migraines. So, it's nice to be able to do what I want!
Yes, that storm is up and down the CA. Traffic in the rain IS the worst! Luckily, I have audiobooks and music to keep me occupied. Oh gosh, no news, that must be frustrating and nail-biting! That's good you have the option of going on Zoom. Yummy dinner! We get those giant tortillas (or, we used to) from the Mexican market and make burritos out of them. Chimichangas are so good!
@lislisa123 Congrats on the loss and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!
@DrewsAnna That's a great idea to keep your hands busy. My mom used to crochet and loved it. Yay for the prescription issue getting fixed!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Yes! I agree. Thank you, I am feeling better. Yeah it is a little distracting watching people walk by but luckily, people mostly walk by on the students' breaks which isn't constant. Thank you! I'm so glad to hear that the surgery went well and that she's doing so well. FiFi, that was my grandma's poodle's name lol. Maybe you can come up with another good nickname lol. That's a great idea to bulk cook on your work-from-home day, sometimes I do that or clean when I should be working. Good job bringing your food to the hospital! It's great that Amelia has such a supportive family.
@Katmary71 Yes, there are just too many other things that intrigue me! I'm sorry you are feeling the rain coming. It is supposed to rain here through Friday. That's good that the clean-up went well. What did your neighbor think she was going to handle lol? I hope you stayed home from trivia, take care of YOU!
ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What do you do for fun?
I have a lot of hobbies, most of them related to arts and crafts. I am gathering supplies and knowledge to start making collages (like I need another hobby lol). I read a lot (90% is fiction). I like to go to museums and coffee shops (I listen to music and read there, as well as people-watch). I am fortunate that where I live, there is a lot to do.
Hi all. Traffic ended up being not too bad last night, it took 1 hr 20 mins to get home. It's raining again today so we'll see how it goes. I think I may take tomorrow off so I can have a 4-day weekend. It's supposed to be rainy again tomorrow so that will be nice to be off in the rain. I did a little better with water thanks to the alarms but I did ignore the alarm twice: both times because I was in the middle of doing something when they went off. Maybe I should have snoozed the alarms.

@lislisa123 Happy belated birthday!!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Ohhh sweet little Amelia is a FiFi for sure!! There is something just wrong about a precious new life hooked up to tubes, but I’m so happy that her surgery went well. I am praying for a quick healing and that she will be home soon! Love the shirts!!
@Katmary71 Our church once went to help clean up the storage area of a Habit for Humanity thrift store. The storage room was huge, and I was disgusted by the stuff people donated! The worst was all the Christmas stuff that was nothing but garbage. I don’t understand why people think other less fortunate would be happy with stuff that belongs in a landfill. Did you find that when you did your cleanup? I love your attitude about protecting yourself from the neighbor, not understanding your pain, and that it is real, but some people are clueless.
@trooworld Is your office going to stay all yours, or could you get another officemate? Yeah, I’m not fond of being in a fish bowl, either. I used to get so mad at Joe when he would get up before me and open up all the curtains, but it was still pitch dark outside. I didn’t need the neighbors looking at me in my nightie!We are having a ton of rain here, too, and had thunderstorms through the night that Maggie made sure to voice her displeasure.
I hope you get your 4-day weekend!
Good morning! I got a call yesterday from my real estate agent that the homeowners want to move the closing up to the 24th. Of course, we will be thrilled to do that, but we still have to see if the lender can get it all together. I did the house appraisal yesterday and the paperwork to sign for the homeowner's insurance, so that is all a good sign. Right??? I just want this done!I started a new 3000-piece puzzle yesterday, which will be challenging! I’m determined to take my time with the initial sort, and I got about halfway done. I will finish the sort today before beginning to put this beauty together.
ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What do you do for fun?
My first answer is, of course, jigsaw puzzles!I used to do many fun things with Joe, but that is over now.
I have lots of fun with my great-nieces and look forward to watching them grow up and doing girly stuff with them.
Here is a pic of the puzzle

WEIGH IN UPDATE
WEIGH INS DUE NOW FROM @AmbersWay
Reminder To Weigh In Tomorrow To @Cornanda @davors19 @bethanie025 @trooworld @Katmary710 -
ICE BREAKER: What do you do for fun? I'm tied on my favorite hobby with gardening and reading (reading about gardening is double the fun haha!). I think I just love learning or enjoying different point-of-views which is why I love both. Few concerts a year too I love music from classiscal to thrash/rap. I do enjoy going to bookstores/coffee shops though they aren't like they were in Santa Cruz/Capitola with a bunch of cool independent ones to explore.
@trooworld I agree with you and Teresa about the balance, that's what I've learned from my friend who also had surgery it's kind of like you're relearning how your body works post-surgery as far as food and digestion. I DID stay home, I'd said something about going and my roommate asked if I was still feeling bad and told me to get over it so I told her what I'd posted and how I agreed. What kind of collages are you going to make? Do you do vision boards? I hope you took today off the weather made driving around here pretty stressful today.
@TeresaW2024 I think that thrift store gets a little better than some but there definitely were some weird items. Looking up the crystal statues was pretty interesting, there was a Tinkerbell missing an arm which was worth more than all the others if she'd been whole. I'm honestly not sure if I owe the owner an apology over my neighbor, she'd said something about it smelling too and I shushed her. I love your puzzle that's beautiful and will be super hard! Sounds like everything is heading in the right direction for the house, I'm so glad!
@askewcr Woohoo I see why you wanted to log the new weight, yay congratulations!
@DrewsAnna I love your answer on the ice breaker question I'm sure you're an amazing Grandma.

@TeresaW2024 Well, I don't see us hiring anyone to replace what my officemate did (she mostly did reference work and miscellaneous stuff so stuff we all could do), so I think the office will be all mine, which is good. I'm really enjoying it to myself! Oh, I wouldn't like that either lol. When is the rain supposed to stop? Poor little Maggie! How's she doing other than the thunderstorms? I am definitely getting my 4-day weekend, yay! Buying a home is so stressful. I hope it all works out sooner rather than later. Putting a puzzle together on a rainy day sounds nice. And what a beautiful puzzle!
@askewcr Congrats on the loss!
@Katmary71 You need to come down to SD and explore the coffee shops and bookstores down here! Yes, I agree with you about surgery. I'm glad you stood your ground and stayed home. I think the collages will be artistic, something along these lines: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/563018698075143/ I have a vision board on Pinterest but I don't make a physical one. I did take the day off and I'm so excited about it! I hope you feel better today.
Hi all. I've been doing better with water the past few days. I'll continue to work on it. My DH was going to take 1/2 day off work and hang out with me but he has too much to do, so the day is mine. I have an appt with the ortho doc this morning and then I might come home and clean the house. At some point, I will go to a coffee shop and read. It's supposed to rain until about midday and then the sun will come out. I lost 3.2 lbs this week.
