Good things never go unpunished o:)

I had a plan... HAD. I promised to elder sit while my aunt went into town. I ate my normal breakfast so it wouldn't matter when I got back home.

She brought home food :D So I had to eat a meal that I would have skipped breakfast for. Then for giggles, since the day was blown any way I ate 2 girl scout cookies. Then I got my backside away from the table so I didn't eat the rest of them.

But the biggest little bump is that my arm hurts. 8 minutes of waving it around yesterday with the strenuous addition of cross stitching today and my arm is telling me to eff off. So no exercise and no stretching today. If i step on the scale in the morning and I gain 2 lbs over night again, I'll scream.

if you hear something... that would be me. :p

*kicks self* I looked at my dinner dish sitting on my desk and thought 'i should take that to the kitchen'. I swept the floors. washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, took out the trash... I'm done. I have no more energy to give the day and that effing dish was still sitting on my desk :s

how much longer am I going to try to type the word lose as loose? I'm not the only one that does it. But having issues with my hands I would rather not have to backspace to correct it :D

Trying to give myself grace, but afraid I'm opening myself up for veering off course. It's been an emotionally exhausting week. My brother was diagnosed with cancer, my daughter has yet another medical mystery we are trying to diagnose, and my husband is away on a trip. I haven't exercised the past couple days because by the time I have a minute to myself I am exhausted.

Oh @mucky1217 that is so hard. You need to give yourself a ton of grace as you are going through this. Think about what you'd say to a close friend to support them and then tell yourself that. Hopefully when your husband's gets home that will help and you can share. We are here to support however we can. Hang in there and lots of hugs.

You are not veering off course. You are merely slowing down. You are strong but that doesn't mean that you need to accomplish everything at once. Sometimes enduring is all we can do and it is enough.

I did a great 20 min strength workout today..but then I turned around and ordered a BLT with homemade (fried) potato chips… only 750 calories left for the day (only 1pm now). Feeling guilty, especially since my weight was up on the scale this morning. What am I doing!! Lol

I ate 300+ extra calories today..& it’s the first time in 2 weeks I didn’t long something I ate. I knew I was way over, so I just felt discouraged to log it.
I did get in my longest strength training workout in today. I felt good mentally & physically I’m not sure why I over ate.
    Tomorrow is a new day.

I went to the grocery store today. And it's Easter season so I got peeps. I love the texture of marshmallows. I not only ate my entire bag of white cheddar cheetoes but i ate more peeps than I originally intended. let it go girl... it will be fine. Those 300 calories will disappear in a few days.

    ugh..I’m sooo hungry today.
I just ate 2 boiled egg whites & I still want to eat.
Ive been so tempted to just throw in the towel today & binge. But I know that could easily throw me off track.
    It’s 5 o’clock & I only have a lil over 400 calories for my dinner & beyond..
this hasn’t been my best week

Really hoping to get back on track this week. I’ve been dealing with an antibiotic tolerant infection (UTI) not a huge deal but I’m sure it’s effecting me In ways I’m not noticing. I’ve over ate through my calories most days this week after doing really well my first 20 days of calorie counting. It’s still early. Not too late to get myself back on the track.
I feel like I use this thread as my own personal diary, sorry guys lol

@meachemcrystal795 , ugggh! I hate when I get sick or don’t feel well and I’m trying to focus on something important to me. Remember to give yourself a break and take care of yourself through this. UTI’s are no fun! Especially one that is hard to treat. Hang in there, you got this!

Sorry to hear, sick makes everything harder and anti-biotics can be lifesavers but make some things harder.

I was pointed to fresh garlic, cranberries and live culture yogurts to help with the aftermath, fwiw... still needed the meds, but did feel these help too for my chronic issues.

I appreciate the help & words! I feel fine for the most part, just stressing over what is next for my treatment. I got referred to a specialist so I’m sure it will be over soon.

I eat lots of Greek yogurt & my cottage cheese also have live cultures. I’m going to go try to eat some garlic.

Not diet related (well, kinda is) and not really a little bump but…

So I survived layoffs only to now be faced with possible stop work orders if Congress can't figure their *kitten* out and pass a budget or continued resolution. If the government shuts down, then projects will be stopped during that time.

Luckily I was able to stock up this week grocery wise (yay for a rebate visa card from the contacts I bought in January). I seriously think I could go around a month without buying groceries. I have plenty of proteins (beans, split peas, tofu, steak, cube steak, beef stew cubes, chicken breasts, chicken tenders, chicken patties, chicken nuggets, pork chops, canned tuna, tilapia, orange roughy, battered fish, and battered shrimp), canned and frozen veggies, canned fruit, canned soups, rice, pasta, ramen, and much more. If I had to go to the store for something, then I also still have $100 on the gift card.

I also just got paid and will get another check before any shut down would happen, so I could pay my rent.

It just feels like it is one hit after another. I need a break.

Today I ate my daughter's chipotle burrito because she accidently made it too spicy for her. I logged it later to find out that 1 burrito was 1300calories!! That's almost my entire calorie budget. I guess I should have checked that BEFORE I ate it, lol. I probably only would have eaten half, and gave my husband the other half.

I hope it was a large burrito. I'm going to lunch with my mom tomorrow. I normally just eat 1 meal and don't worry about the calories but the boyfriend is being a royal backside today and I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow. I want ice cream as comfort. that means I'll have to be more mindful when out with mom. Should be less difficult than resisting the urge to kick the boyfriend 😝

This weekend was rough. So, we survived a government shutdown so my hours and work are not impacted. Which is great. But I think my brain, body, and soul all just needed a break from, well, life. So I have not been eating great the last couple of days. Upside is I have been walking a LOT of late now that the weather is getting a bit nicer.

I am hopeful that I can get back on track starting today. I have a lot of plans coming up the next couple of months including a convention and a trip, so now is the time to work on this. Because I am not going to log on my trip. I likely will for the convention, though it will be hard to stay on plan because food choices will be limited. I will take snacks, but I know I will need something more filling at least once a day.

Leave the past in the past even if it was just a few minutes ago. You don't have a 'must be ready by' date and you will weigh something every day of your life. Remember even when you feel out of control you are still in control and you are making choices. Also remember you don't have to be perfect and life it to be enjoyed. You can do this.

Getting through the uncertainty was enough, more than enough. Do what you can as you can. Life will get in the way sometimes and all you can do is get through it. We are not in a sprint. Take one moment at a time and let them grow to days and weeks and months. And take time off to celebrate you and the amazing human you are. (I never log on vacations.)

We are here for support and whatever cheering you need. You've got this.
