Congrats to the whole team for achieving 3rd place by pounds! A special shout-out goes to @Katmary71 and @DrewsAnna for leading the way!
@DrewsAnna Cool afghan! It looks like it would be really hard to do with that precise pattern. You are so talented! I love your next project.
@txcritter69 @19shmoo69 Congrats on the losses!
@19shmoo69 Nice picture! You have a beautiful family.
@Cornanda It was! That's good they care and they aren't micromanagers. AND they are kind? WIN! I'm glad you got to spend some time with DS. Is your DD still living with you?
Hi all. I repeated what I did the day before (coffee + making art) and also got groceries. I'm very happy with how my art piece turned out: see below piece. I also stopped into a gallery that I am trying to participate in a show at. Their instructions for submission were a little unclear. They told me they want me in the show, so that's good. Now I know and can work on a piece for the show. Came home and was lazy...just grazed on crackers, cheese, and salami for dinner. I plan on cooking Lemony Lamb Meatball Soup with Rice soup (America's Test Kitchen recipe) tonight but I will sub lean ground turkey for the lamb as I don't like lamb.
Tracked yesterday? No!

Good Morning Slims,
Congrats to everyone that saw a loss this week!
I know I have not been on here very much lately. I have been really down on myself the last few months. My weight has been a real issue for me. I have really been trying to lose weight ever since I gained it back in 2013. Seeing everyone losing and me fighting with the same 5 to 10 lbs really put me in a slump. It sucks when you are trying and nothing is working. After reading that @DrewsAnna was starting Wegovy I decided to look into it. I saw my dr at the end of Feb and after 3 weeks of waiting my insurance approved it. I took my first injection last night. So far no side effects and I am looking forward to seeing where the new road is going to lead me. Thanks for letting me have this pitty party and now it is time for me to get my head back in the game.
@DrewsAnna I looked up women on Wegovy on FB and came up with nothing can we become friends on Fb and you send me an invite to the group. My name it John N Sandra Ritter on FB.
If anyone else would like to become friends on FB, I would be more than happy to.
Have a super day Slims!

@Katmary71 The link to the latest Fat 2 Fit announcements is broken. I hope I'm not missing anything critical. We're going into a new month soon and I still want to participate so MFP, please clean this up. The link always worked before.
On another note, my husband asked for Maryland crab cakes on Saturday so I made them. (Beyond fabulous!) I noticed the recipe stated calories as 299 for two cakes. I entered the ingredients into the Create a Recipe module of MFP and the calories came in at 477 for two cakes. I compared all the calories and macros MFP had used with the can of crabmeat, the mayo I used, the panko crumbs, etc. Recipe called for six cakes and I made six cakes but a difference of 178 calories is unacceptable. I wrote the blogger to let her know. Sharing this so that those of us who cook our meals from scratch will be better aware. Undercounting 100 calories here and there can lead to disappointment on the scale. I will now enter ALL my home-cooked meals into the app, even those dishes I've been making for decades from memory.
I think I fit into Size 12 jeans cuz my Size 14 jeans are sliding down my hips when I move around but I'm about to jump on a Zoom meeting and I'm not going to figure it out now.
@TeresaW2024 Classic baby-crying photos are cake, haircut, and sitting on Santa's lap. Other classic baby photos are chocolate cake on face, haircut before/afters, sitting on mama's lap.

WHAT HASN’T CHANGED ABOUT YOU OVER THE YEARS? My passion for learning and wanting to be healthier/more knowledgeable and loving reading and music.
@TeresaW2024 I did see Sound of Freedom, it was good. At the talk a lot of interesting things came up they prayed for us to NOT dwell on bad memories after what we were discussing. Fun your hair sounds so pretty! Haha I love your question answer I added that to mine too as far as wanting to be healthy. What’s awesome is you all can look back at the baby’s birthday and how you all worked together and accomplished the current living situation as a family since then and how everyone can feel safe celebrating without that poop around! Love the meme so true. I’m so glad you found cutlery Joe can use. Yikes I’m sorry to hear the party didn’t go very well I think I would’ve eaten the extra cake too! Hoping it’s still a good weigh-in. Aw that sad face!
@trooworld I’m glad 5 of the medication/vitamins are temporary. Thank goodness I’m so glad you’re doing better when eating or drinking and hope this is behind you. Your Sunday sounds like fun hanging with the coworkers and going to the coffee shop. I’m glad you were able to straighten out the show instructions. I love your painting of the octopus!
@AnAbsoluteDiva You can come to the greenhouse we could go after school or during the summer when school is out. We’re growing a bunch of herbs, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, okra, lettuce, pok choy, onions, melons, winter squash, summer squash, and zuchinni. I agree with you I need to work on my drip system so I’m not out watering when we’re in the 100s! I’m a big reader like you thank goodness we had books during Covid! Do you go through the forum to read the Announcements? I was able to click on the thread just now but it looks like there may have been an issue. If you’re concerned going into the next month as long as you’re active in this group it will carry on to next month so you don’t need to do anything different. The only way you’re not in this group is if you ask to be removed or don’t log 2 weigh-ins in a row without communicating with me. You’re stuck with us! J There can be a pretty big difference with recipe calories I’m glad you shared with the blogger that it was off. Woot woot congrats on the jean size dropping!
@Cornanda Thank you! Sounds like you’re viewing the work changes optimistically, I hope the meeting Friday goes well and you like your co-workers.
@DrewsAnna I’m so glad the afghan came out well it looks beautiful! Oh I love the one you’re doing next too those colors look so good together. Happy for your sister to get her afghan she’s going to love it!
WAY TO GO SLIMPOSSIBLES ON 3rd PLACE by Pounds! @trooworld @DrewsAnna great job leading the pack!
@19shmoo69 What a beautiful family we can barely see you!
@txcritter69 I’m so glad you’re feeling more positive about weight loss (and in general), I hope Wegovy helps you and am glad to hear you aren’t having any side effects. We’re already Facebook friends I was about to give you my info!
@littlebabekitty Oh no I’m so sorry to hear you aren’t feeling good I hope it’s just temporary and you’re feeling better and more motivated soon. You’re welcome I’m happy you’re back!
Hi team! Busy day I finally caught a full load at the free compost area by the fire department so I made two runs there, they spilled in my car so that’s my chore for tomorrow but I’m getting started getting everything going soil/compost/potting mix-wise. I spent some time last night writing down all the places that can have free compost within a 30 mile radius since the one by me never has it, thank goodness I checked there first it saved me a lot of driving! I got to two stores and had a doctor’s phone appointment too, the only negative test result was having some bone issues in my knee but she’s getting my referral to a CRPS specialist back in the system since the ball was dropped. We’re having the best weather but it’s going to rain in a few days then be cold which is a bummer, I have all the bigger plants hardening off and they’re doing great but it’ll be too cold to have them out there during the rain/cold. My pain flare seems to be that where I had some numbness is burning strongly, one of the times I’m wondering if I REALLY want to have numb areas heal if it’s going to hurt like hell. Have a great Tuesday!

@TeresaW2024 - what a cute picture! :( on the cake
@trooworld - yes, DD still lives with us. She's itching to get out though. I love your painting and dang right they should want you in the art show!
@txcritter69 - I feel for you. I've been struggling for a long time too. I hope the Wegovy does the trick for you. Hugs
@AnAbsoluteDiva - did you import the recipe to MFP? If so, sometimes it picks up an ingredient weird that can throw off the whole recipe. That has happened to me several times. FYI
@littlebabykitty- sorry you are feeling sick
@Katmary71 - look at you planting it up again. Researching all the nearest compost sources. Love it! I hope that rain will not bring you too much pain. You are one of the strongest people I know.

@txcritter69 I'm sorry about your lack of progress. That's what pushed me to get my surgery (not saying that's right for you, though). That's great that you got on Wegovy. I hope it helps you. I sent you a friends request on FB. Hugs.
@AnAbsoluteDiva That is a big difference and yes, it can lead to disappointment on the scale! I also track my recipes as recipes rather than search for something (but I do my tracking in a different app). That's great you are in a smaller size jeans! Congrats!
@DrewsAnna She's going to love that afghan.
@kerritho Welcome back!
@Littlebabekitty Welcome back, I must have missed your post coming back. Sorry you are sick again, I will be thinking of you.
@Katmary71 Me too! My weekend was really fun. Thank you! That sucks the compost spilled in your car. I'm glad you are having good weather. I hope the pain flare passes today.
@Cornanda Ah I see. Thank you! :D
@TeresaW2024 Congrats on the loss!
Hi all. I went to the worker's comp doctor yesterday morning and she said I need to strengthen my back muscles and that I should try yoga, particularly some class at Core Power Yoga. I signed up for a free week trial there and will give it a go. I reserved a spot in that class tonight. It's going to be hard going after work but hopefully, it will go well. I'm not going to get a membership at that place, it's too expensive. But I might buy day passes once or twice a week. The doctor also thought my back problems would be alleviated by an ergonomic assessment, which my health and safety team did yesterday afternoon. They made some recommendations and will bring in the physical therapist to look at the set up as well. The soup was easy to make and it was really good.

@trooworld Love the new art piece and how that one eye draws you into the picture. Great colors, too!
@txcritter69 I’m so sorry you have been feeling down and I really hope you don’t decide to leave the group. Weight loss is super hard. I gained all my weight back too and it took me almost two years to get back to trying again and I fight it every day. I hope the Wegovy helps and that you will start seeing results soon and have no side effects!
@AnAbsoluteDiva That is way too big a difference in calories, and I’m glad you wrote to the blogger to say so. It’s a good idea never to trust the calories in a recipe but to do your calculations. Congrats on moving down to size 12 jeans! Yes, all the pictures are annoying at the time, but they end up becoming some of the best family memories. 🙂
@Katmary71 That is good that you can get free compost and I’m glad you didn’t have to do a lot of driving to get it this time. Ugh, is your knee hurting you? I hope the rain and cold pass quickly so you can get back to your beautiful weather and will feel good. ❤️
Good morning! I was shocked to have a loss this week after eating that cake and ice cream, but I’ll take it and be happy! This week, I want to buckle down and try to get out of the 230s once and for all! Today, I have to take Joe for his CT scan check-up and then run to the church to unload a ton of cardboard boxes into the church recycle dumpster. It’s a perk of the job! 😂 I also want to get my car washed, which is covered in yellow pollen. I have a subscription to the carwash, and this time of year is when it pays to have it. Have a good day! 🙂

@Cornanda I agree. MFP can mess up quirky things sometimes but I go down the list of ingredients and select the brand and confirm the amounts. They had a tablespoon of olive oil as a gallon. That does make a difference.
@Katmary71 I'm in Zone 7a so still have to wait on cukes and melons but my greens are in. Started my carrots yesterday (in mini soil blocks which makes it so easy to transplant) but if I had a greenhouse, I don't think my husband would ever see me. Honestly, gardening is just such a great hobby and beyond fulfilling for me.
The @ isn't bolding people's names. 😡
How do you adjust your goals when life gets busy or setbacks happen?
I allow myself time buffers between appointments to allow for flat tires, school bus that won't stop chit chatting with the Kindergartener's grandma, and the occasional felled limb that is blocking my driveway. As far as tasks around the house and my own personal goals, those are all done/scheduled between 6 AM and 730 AM before the phone starts ringing and I tie up the loose ends between 7 PM and 830 PM when the phones have stopped ringing. (I'm a real estate agent…. nothing predictable in my world.) The meal is planned days in advance and all the dicing and slicing and chopping and prepping takes place the night before. It doesn't always work, but expecting the setbacks always makes it easier.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do you adjust your goals when life gets busy or setbacks happen? The short answer is that I adjust my schedule, never my goals. Always have a plan B for working towards my most important goals. Set priorities. Everything important gets done. Never let the urgent stuff make so much noise in my brain that it drowns out the important stuff. Ask for help with anything that can be delegated.

Hi 👋
Yesterday was a great day! Chipper and I walked around the football field several times. As usual, everybody and all the kids were loving him, and as usual, he tried to reciprocate that love with kisses. I love taking him to the ball field.
I did pretty good with my food and I've been weighing and measuring for the most part and I've been tracking.
I'm trying to be more active on "loseit", but I've noticed not many people are active on there. That's where I've been tracking my food also.
We are supposed to maybe get up to 70° today. This is the warmest we have been this year and I'm excited to get out and plant some bulbs.
Y'all have a great day 😀

@FushiaKat Sorry about your Trike. I hope you can get the brakes fixed soon.
DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do you adjust your goals when life gets busy or setbacks happen?
I simplify my goals and go back to basics: if my goal is tracking all my meals each day, I will go down to tracking 2 or even 1 meal a day. I will go down to what I know I can do consistently and then, when I am doing that on a regular basis, I will adjust up.Hi all. I didn't go to the yoga class last night for a couple of reasons: yesterday morning, we noticed a water bubble in the paint in our bathroom...yep, another leak in my bathroom from the upstairs neighbor! This is the 3rd leak in 5 years! I was so stressed, angry, upset that I could hardly function. We got a hold of the HOA and they sent their handyman to investigate and they called a plumber. My husband had come home from work and handled it for us. Then, it took 1 hour 45 minutes to get home due to traffic. I don't think even if we didn't have the leak, that I would have gone to the yoga class at 7: I am usually going to bed at that time. I will go to a class this weekend instead.

@AustinRuadhain , I am so happy to see you are coming back! 🤩
@trooworld HaHa, we do always post at the same time! 😃 I’m glad the worker’s comp doctor gave you some good advice. I hope you can attend the yoga class, gain strength, and start feeling better.
@AnAbsoluteDiva Allowing time buffers is such a good idea, and I’m learning to do it now that I’m dealing with an unpredictable and incredibly slow husband. 😕
@micaroo4 That's a great answer to this week’s question! Always adjust the schedule, never the goals. I need to adopt this for my life! 😀
@trooworld HaHa, we do always post at the same time! 😃 Ugh I am so sorry about the leak. What is wrong with the upstairs neighbor and these leaks? Will the neighbor be responsible for the cost of the repairs? I sure hope so! I agree that going to yoga at 7 pm is too late for you.Good morning! Today, I will do a chest and back lifting program. I also want to start spring cleaning all my walls, doors, baseboards, and blinds. If I pick an area to do each day, it won’t take long until every surface has been wiped down and looks good. For dinner, I will make a simple chicken quesadilla on low-carb tortillas. Have a good day!
DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do you adjust your goals when life gets busy or setbacks happen? It can be a struggle and frustrating when my plans get derailed. I try to handle setbacks by learning to go with the flow and adjusting on the fly, which is not always easy for me to do since I love a good routine.

Hi 👋
Yesterday, was a great day, getting flowers, mostly bulbs, planted and doing some gardening. I pretty much spent the whole day outside and it was great. I found some old bulbs that I'd forgot about to see if they will grow. Today is back to intermittent rain and cooler. By the end of the week it will be back to the low 50's. Yesterday, was our sping and I made the most of it. Here is a pic of my beautiful primrose.
Going back to the ball field today, and get some walking in with my best buddy.
Y'all have a great day 😀

@trooworld Oh no I’m so sorry to hear about the leak, I remember you going through this before I’m so sorry. Class this weekend sounds like a better goal than staying up late to do it.
@TeresaW2024 Hope the workout goes well! That’s a great idea to pick a spot each day to clean, makes it a lot more doable that way.
@DrewAnna Your flowers look so pretty! Is that a dwarf primrose? The pink is really pretty. I grew it and it spread all over the place, it was a lot taller though. I love yours!
Hi team! I was at the food bank farm this morning, did a bunch of dill bundles. Another volunteer and I decided to hunt down the mushroom guy at the farmer’s market and we went to the wrong one, it took an hour to get to the other one but we finally scheduled a day for him to come to the farm and get mushroom growing there. Yikes my battery is dying and computer isn’t plugged in so posting now, have a great Thursday!

@TeresaW2024 Thank you! The upstairs neighbor is a piece of @#!$ and doesn't take care of his unit. BUT...this time, the leak was in the wall and he wouldn't have been able to notice it. But the other two times, yes, he would have noticed! The HOA is paying for the cost of the repairs this time. Last time, we had to use OUR insurance because the POS refused to. I hope the lifting went well and you aren't too sore today. That's a good idea to pick one area to do each day. Yummy dinner!
@DrewsAnna Way to go! Your flowers are incredibly beautiful.
@BobBoyardee Congrats on the loss!
@Katmary71 Thank you! I agree about the class. That's good you were able to get the mushroom guy to come out to the farm.
Hi all. Not much going on today, just working. I've been tracking lately, for about 5 days. Last night, I made this Roasted Carrot Salad for dinner and it was amazing. I added chicken breast for protein. The dressing is a citrus one and it is really delicious:
