I want to try and get back to using the diary on here! It helped me lose a lot of weight before, and everything else I've tried hasn't worked, so I need to get back to using the diary here! I know before I got too obsessed and I wouldn't eat if I couldn't figure out the calories and it became stressful, so I obviously don't want that to happen again. I just want to lose this weight and remember using the diary made that happen, but I want it to happen without the obsession and without starving myself!
1 -
@CassieGetsFit2013 - Firstly, great loss!
Secondly, one of the major failings of the diary here is that it allows humans to eat only 1200 calories per day, which is less than the calories required to function on a day-to-day basis. Sustainable changes are small changes, which can be frustrating! Do you have a plan for how you want to use the diary this go around?

Hi all,
Weigh in
PW - 227.2
CW - 225.0
Hope everyone's having a good start to the month! Had a lovely break, lots of walking involved with the sight-seeing and I'm actually really happy to feel the difference from last time I was away when I was struggling a lot with walking any kind of distance and having to take constant breaks. Nice to see a NSV and am determined to keep losing so it'll get better still.
Work decided to pile it on since I've got back though, so been a stressful end half of last week. Needed a full 'nothing' day on Saturday to recover from them both lol. Actually having some lovely weather for a change though, so managed a wee walk yesterday and today.

@minstrelofsarcasm Oh I put that then I weighed sometimes that week then I got on the scale again on Sunday. I supposed 228 for last week and 226 for this week.

I've gone up again! Sleeping badly and lazy eating didn't help. I increased my step count but I see that my fitband's battery isn't lasting as long now and it cut out on me a couple of times over the past two weeks. My butt pain has almost gone, so that helps a lot.
I've bought a small soft ball to help me work on my hand, wrist and thumb muscles. Since my arthritic fiasco last year, I still haven't been able to work with hand-weights well nor get down on the floor as it's too painful. I can't even have a bath…I do shower though!
Anyway, Sunday was a good day, I went for a walk in the park with a friend. I had to stop and sit a couple of times but I kept going and felt good in the end, and on Monday too. However, I couldn't get to sleep until about 1:30 am then woke up to go to the loo and, here I am, at 4:30 am typing this. I've got a really long, non-stop, two days ahead of me and hope I get through them without much struggle.
I've got a day off on Thursday to look forward to. I'll get my housework in order and get working on my arms and belly soon, as well as, better eating again.

@minstrelofsarcasm Thank you!
Well, I believe my calorie intake is set to 1,750 give or take a few. I can't remember how long ago I adjusted things so do you think I need to lower that or leave it alone for now? I just signed up for premium again so I can scan food! I'm going to try and get back into thos diary, the main thing I'm going to do differently, is just not get obsessive with it. If I can't track or figure out calories for every little thing, I will still eat and remain on track with things I CAN track and figure out. I have a hard time with becoming overly obsessive or not obsessive at all. Kind of like all or nothing, hard to find that middle, but that's what I'd like to do better with! So I'm going to stick to it!

Weigh-in Monday 7th
PW : 174.6lb 79.4kg
Cw: 174.6lb 79.4kg extremely sorry I thought I posted.
I had problems with my phone & mfp, hopefully I have it sorted.
I got to spend time with friends after work on Saturday, Sunday and went home Monday.
I haven't laughed so much in ages. Our friend is a bar manager so I went to his work, what a great bar with all types of people.
What was funny is I got got asked if I was the new landlady of the pub. One man said he could not read me & found that strange.
There was a very pretty drunk lady, not a nice drunk if you know what I mean. The bar man was great.
Hope you are all doing well.

Three days of doctors KILLED my steps this week, BUT his foot is on the mend.
April Goals:
78,200/392,000 Steps
[]I still need to organize the feed barn.
[] Build 2 chicken pens
[] Move the dog kennel I built last month
I didn't achieve any of my goals. I live in Georgia. Last week, the pollen was so bad that every car everywhere was a wonderful shade of mustard yellow and it was 89 degrees. Then the rain came. The rain was heavy. We had thunder and lightning, and of course, the tornado watches. Today, the high was 61. Tonight, we are expected to have the lows below freezing.
I spent all day outside. Every chicken pen was muddy. I cleaned every coop and spread out 7 bales of hay and one bag of pine shavings to help the birds all stay dry and warm. I built more perches for 2 of the chicken pens and the ducks, and I installed a ladder for the "big chicken yard". Some of my older birds can't get on the tall perches at night, so I installed a ladder for them. They can perch on the ladder or use it to make their way to the taller perches.
I only fell once! :)

Last week my weight also increased, but I'm still in observation mode. Yesterday was my birthday and I was out of town last week, so I feel like I'm doing pretty well. I did wait until just before bed to post which I'm less than satisfied with (but I am posting on Tuesday which is a win regardless).
Track food
- didn't track, but paid pretty good attention to hunger cues (C-)Weigh in daily
- when I have access to my scale (A+)Steps
-- 4/1 = 4301
- 4/2 = 12786 (10k for average)
- 4/3 = 4242
- 4/4 = 15467 (10k for average)
- 4/5 = 4569
- 4/6 = 9097
- 4/7 = 9337
- Not counting steps over 10k, I have an average of 7364 steps per day this past week which is over my 6000/day goal. Yay! I'd still like to get over 6000 per day, and I didn't three times this week (same as last week, but a higher daily average of steps). (A)
Self care
- Pretty good. Could be doing more journaling and meditation, but I've done a really good job of taking rest when I need it. (B)OVERALL
- (B+)
I'm not a teacher, but it feels nice to grade myself. I just remember "75% to pass" which I'm calling a C. :)
This next week, I want to complete a couple of tasks:
- Update MFP calorie goal to be aligned with my base calorie needs (and re-read the article that tells me what it is and how to calculate it)
- Run at least twice: I'm thinking tomorrow and Sunday (I'm taking part in a marathon relay)

I gained this week, which was expected. I was out of town for a conference last week and did not stay as active as I would have preferred (double whammy!). And I weighed in earlier in the week than I normally would, which means I still have the bloat from my heavy lift day on Monday AND I coached six classes combined on Monday and Tuesday, so my body is not quite recovered yet. But I'd rather weigh in early this week than not at all, and I'm not going to have access to my scale again for another week, as I am leaving early tomorrow for a well-deserved vacation.
My trip to New Orleans is going to be fun! My boyfriend and I have a lot of activities planned, and quite a few food destinations to hit while we're away. I don't know the last time I took a vacation that didn't involve a specific event occurring (e.g., holidays, weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, etc) and all the rest of my plans revolving around it. It will also be lovely to experience more consistent sunshine - Ohio has not been kind to me.
@CassieGetsFit2013 - Keep it there for now! If you can consistently meet that calorie number (with very accurate tracking) and nothing changes, then you can lower it, but keeping it where it is and developing healthier eating habits first is a great way to get back into it.
@cedarfoxy - Happy Belated Birthday!!! Having such a small gain after a birthday is impressive, I don't think I've ever had a loss the day after my birthday, even if I actively try to stay around maintenance. Such is the "just a little treat" mentality.

I went for a run/walk with my daughter omg she is so fast. I'm pleased that I ran more than I thought I could, loved that we did it. We ran just before the sun was setting, we stood on a bridge & listened to all the sounds & watched the sunset. Hopefully I will do it again Sunday.

I weighed in this morning and it was 191.6. I was at first disappointed in the number but then I looked at the non scale victories that I had. I was able to push harder on my workout this morning, my clothes fit better, and I feel happier. I will take all that over the scale
4 -
@blessedgrandma5 That's a great attitude. Non-scale victories are the most important kind. Congrats on all that.
