    Good Morning VIP friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Tuesday and well it has been a minute since I have been on here. I am struggling a lot lately. I got a Visible Armband 2.0. It is made by people with auto immune illnesses for those who have it and it is supposed to help track so that your flare ups get less and less the longer you use it. I am hoping that is true. Right now I just got the band yesterday so after 4 days they should be able to give me a pace budget. Yesterday was a long day but good day. I am hoping today will be the same

@Dianedoessmiles1 - Yes they told my niece that her son was going to be roughly 12 pounds so she ended up having a c-section because she was scared. He was born and only weighed a little over 8 pounds. So yeah our babies appear bigger than they actually are. Yay on getting the recycling done. That is good. The baby shower was last weekend. It was a blast.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday

    NATIONAL TAX DAY

April 15th of each year is National Tax Day. In the United States, the term "tax day" refers to the day on which individual income tax returns are due to the federal government. The day may also refer to April 15th for state tax returns.

    #NationalTaxDay

The Federal income tax filing deadline is midnight on April 15th of every year, with extensions occurring when the 15th lands on a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday. In those circumstances, the returns are due the first succeeding day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday.

These dates can differ depending on the residence as well.  Some years, due to extenuating circumstances such as natural disasters, more significant extensions have been granted by the Federal Government.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL TAX DAY

    Complete and file your taxes.

Quote Benjamin Franklin: Nothing is certain but death, and taxes.

Save a copy of your tax return in a safe place.

Give a shout-out to your tax preparer.

Use #NationalTaxDay to post on social media.

    NATIONAL TAX DAY HISTORY

Income tax was first collected in The United States in 1862 to fund the Civil War.  It was deemed unconstitutional due to not being apportioned with conformity across the states. Once again, the United States enacted income tax with the 16th Amendment in 1913. At that time, the filing deadline was March 1. In 1918 the deadline was changed to March 15, and then in 1955, for the most recent change, the filing deadline was moved to April 15th.  The day has come to be known as Tax Day.

    Tax FAQ

    Q. What is the full quote by Benjamin Franklin?A. A. Following the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, Benjamin Franklin wrote in a letter to French scientist Jean-Baptiste Le Roy: "Our new Constitution is now established, everything seems to promise it will be durable; but, in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes."

NATIONAL WEAR YOUR PAJAMAS TO WORK DAY

Each year on April 16th, National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day allows us a reprieve after meeting a late-night deadline shuffling receipts, and adding columns to file our taxes.

    #WearYourPajamasToWorkDay

While some people call this day "the best holiday of the year," it was created for fun. Wearing pajamas to work creates a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere especially for those accountants, tax preparers, and last-minute filers.

Wearing pajamas offers a little relief from the nailbiting and stress that often comes with filing taxes. The day helps to let go of the anxiety and offers a few more minutes of sleep for those who pushed the deadline to the limit.

Appropriate styles of pajamas would include tops and bottoms, of course. Wear the cozy flannel or snazzy silk. Cotton always breathes so well, too. Cartoon characters are always fun. But, be sure to cover your feet, too. Slippers or other footwear are required.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL WEAR YOUR PAJAMAS TO WORK DAY

Wear your favorite pajamas to work.

Make a party of it and coordinate with coworkers.

Don't forget your fuzzy slippers and robe.

Award prizes to the one who wears it best.

Give a gift of pajamas to your tax preparer to show your thanks, even if that person is your dad or a close personal friend.

If you work from home, this is a prime opportunity to wear your pajamas and invite the rest of the world to enjoy the comfort of dressing down for the day.

Take group photos and post them use #WearYourPajamasToWorkDay to post on social media.

NATIONAL WEAR YOUR PAJAMAS TO WORK DAY HISTORY

In 2004, Pajamagram launched a campaign celebrating Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day as a reward for the late nights working on taxes.

    Pajamas

    Q. Where does the word pajama come from?A. The word pajama or pyjama comes to English by way of Persia. The word is derived from a garment known as a leg garment (pāy meaning leg and jāmā meaning garment). It found its way into the Hindi language where it was later adopted by British colonists during the 18th and 19th centuries.

    Q. Is there a world record for wearing pajamas?A. Yes! According to Guinness World Records, the largest gathering of people wearing pajamas took place in Shantou, China where 1,879 people from the Guangdong Hongxing Industrial Co. wore their pajamas on October 9, 2015. One of the requirements was that they wear a one-piece pajama. The previous record took place in Milton Keynes, UK where 752 residents wore their one-piece pajamas on November 5, 2013.

    NATIONAL HIGH FIVE DAY

Each year on the third Thursday in April, we observe National High Five Day. This is a fun day where you can “High Five” everyone that you see.

    #NationalHighFiveDay

Folklore fills the hallowed halls of sports stadiums concerning the origins of the high five. From the basketball to the volleyball court and baseball stadium, the sports metaphor has been well worn on this topic.

The two most well-known claims take place in less than a two-year time span.

During the last 1977 regular season Dodgers' game, Dusty Baker hit the home run that made the team the first in history to have four players with at least 30 regular-season home runs each.  As Baker rounded third and headed home, Glenn Burke waited at home plate to congratulate him. In a moment that is Dodgers history but was never televised, Burke greeted his teammate by raising his hand, and they slapped hands in a victorious high five.

During basketball's 1978-79 season, the University of Louisville basketball team switched up their regular low-fives on the home court thanks to Wiley Brown and Derek Smith.

Out of all the triumphant sports gestures, such as the fist bump, fanny slap, fist pump, end zone dance, and chest bump, the high five stands in a class all its own.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL HIGH FIVE DAY

    Celebrate with a high five!

See if you can find all the fives in the High Five hidden picture.

Once you've tried, check out the key.

If you're looking for ways to get children involved in sports, check out local organizations for a list of sports activities in your town. That's a High Five in our books!

Use #NationalHighFiveDay to post on social media.

    NATIONAL HIGH FIVE DAY HISTORY

In 2002, college students at the University of Virginia, Conor Lastowka (San Diego, CA), Sam Miotke (Corvallis, OR), and Wynn Walent (New York, NY) together created National High Five Day.

    High Five FAQ

    Q. Who holds the record for the most high fives?A. In 2016, Kaiser Permanente of San Diego achieved 290 high fives in one minute. The record for the most high fives in 24 hours goes to Pete Timbs in Brisbane, Australia. He achieved 14,607 high fives in 2012.

    NATIONAL KINDERGARTEN DAY

Each year on April 21st, National Kindergarten Day honors the birthday of the man who started the first Kindergarten. Friedrich Wilhelm August Fröbel (April 21, 1782  - June 21, 1852) is credited with starting the very first Kindergarten in Germany in 1837. Frobel was a German teacher and a student of Johann Pestalozzi. Frobel laid a foundation for modern education, recognizing that children learn through play and experience.

    #NationalKindergartenDay

The first kindergarten (which means garden for the children) was developed in Blankenburg, Germany, in 1837. The kindergarten fostered Frobel's social experience for children. It also allowed them to smoothly transition from home to school.

Eventually, the Prussian government banned Frobel's unorthodox methods. However, the rest of the world was eager to accept Frobel's idea of kindergarten, including the United States.

In 1856, Watertown, Wisconsin, opened the first kindergarten in the United States. Founded by Margarethe Schurz, this kindergarten was a German-language class, as were many in this region. Kindergarten found its way into private English-speaking institutions across the country. However, it wasn't until 1873 that it became part of any public school system.

National Kindergarten Day offers an opportunity to thank a kindergarten teacher you know. There are several ways to celebrate the day, too!

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL KINDERGARTEN DAY

    Recognize an outstanding kindergarten teacher.

Explore a career in elementary education, specifically as a kindergarten teacher.

    NATIONAL KINDERGARTEN DAY HISTORY

National Kindergarten Day honors the day Friedrich Wilhelm August Fröbel was born on April 21, 1782. However, we were unable to identify the founder of National Kindergarten Day.

    Kindergarten FAQ

    Q. Do kindergarten classes run half days or full days?A. Most kindergarten classes today operate full days five days per week. However, in the past, the programs ran half days.

    Q. How old are children when they begin kindergarten?A. Most children begin kindergarten the year they turn five. However, children who are born later in the year often wait until the following year to begin. Schools provide parents with age guidelines.

The day recognizes the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals. Central to any business, these professionals keep an office organized and efficient.

    #AdminProfessionalsDay

The day in the life of an administrative professional is varied from moment to moment. While organization is key to their success, their flexibility and ability to handle the unexpected make them valuable to any business. Some of their responsibilities include managing appointments, drafting letters and memos, booking business trips, coordinating appointments, and planning meetings.

Administrative professionals compile data and research information, too. Their organizational skills mean they pinpoint information quickly and keep the executive on schedule, whether they are in transit or with a client. They are central to an office or business running efficiently.

    NATIONAL BUCKET LIST DAY

April 24 celebrates National Bucket List Day to remind us it's never too late to set new goals, go on a dream vacation, and inspire people around you to enjoy life to the fullest.

    #NATIONALBUCKETLISTDAY

By definition, a bucket list is a list of things a person would like to do, but has never experienced before. Some people refer to them as milestones, while other people refer to them as goals. Whatever you call them, a bucket list is a list of things a person would like to accomplish before they die.

    Listen To Cindy Lee

Cindy shares the history and story behind National Bucket List Day and her desire to help others grow their businesses. Listen Now!

    What Is A Bucket List?

A bucket list is the list you create to make the most out of life. It is a list of goals, dreams, and aspirations you would like to accomplish before you pass away. The basic meaning of a bucket list is to keep track of your goals by making yourself accountable to achieve all you want in life. The purpose of a bucket list is to encourage ourselves to accomplish goals within in a specific timeframe.

2025 National Bucket List Day will be celebrated in Las Vegas, Nevada!

Our time on earth is short. Very few of us pause to think about how we spend what time we have. Creating a bucket list can help you live your life to the fullest. It also gives you the opportunity to appreciate the life you have and reflect on the good things to come.

    Bucket List Ideas

A bucket list can be anything you want it to be. Your bucket list should reflect your interests. In fact, we're guessing there are no two lists alike. If you are a simple person, create a bucket list that reflects the simple pleasures in life. If you gravitate towards extravagant things or love to travel, your list will more than likely consist of ideas that require more of a financial investment.

    Simple Bucket List Ideas

Graduating from high school or college.

    Having children.

    Buying a home.

    Becoming a freelance photographer.

    Participating in a painting club.

    Extravagant Bucket List Ideas

    Go on a cruise.

    Visit the Rainforest.

Visit all the continents in the world.

Visit historical landmarks across the country.

    Ride a hot air balloon.

    Travel Bucket List

    Travel to Europe.

    See the ancient Mayan ruins.

    Visit Egyptian tombs.

    Travel Route 66.

Visit all the state parks in North America.

    Finding Gratitude

Living a life of gratitude is key to living a well-rounded life, full of happiness and satisfaction. Gratitude allows you to find every day moments and turn them into long-term fulfillment. Completing items on your bucket list will help you realize the opportunity you have been given as you experience life-changing moments you thought might never happen. Enjoy the ride and show gratitude for the adventure you have in this life.

    ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

Be brave and have some fun by learning to paint, drive a race car, skydive, surf, or jump off a cliff.

Sample local food and drink during your travels.

Create a bucket list with a friend that you both can enjoy.

Watch the movie Bucket List, staring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

Pay it forward with a bucket list that allows you to donate time to an orphanage, local soup kitchen, or food pantry.

Share your videos and photos on social media from your bucket list adventures using #NationalBucketListDay.

    CREATING NATIONAL BUCKET LIST DAY

National Day Calendar and Cindy Rhodes of Bucket List Coach Travel & Tours and the Bucket List Coach Web Show formed a collaboration to create National Bucket List Day to be celebrated each year on April 24. Using her own personal bucket list, Cindy thought the ultimate bucket list item for 2023 would be to have her own National Day.

National Bucket List Day is a day focusing around gratitude for your own life and experiences. Cindy believes everyone should get out and experience life to the fullest. Share your gratitude for the things you have and create experiences not things with friends, colleagues and family!

    Good Morning VIP friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. This week has been rough. I called into work 2 days this week with a stomach bug and just started feeling better last night. My daughter informed me last night that she is scheduled for an induction for May 5th. I am not happy about that. She stated she did not want to be induced with this baby and now they have convinced her that the baby is on the bigger side and could get stuck. They are never right about the babies size. My niece was told her son was going to be 12 pounds or more so she opted for a c-section only to find out her baby ended up being just over 8 pounds. She could have had him naturally. Now they are messing with my daughter. I am not happy about that, but I have to go with her wishes. So today I am requesting those the 5th and 6th off incase it goes late into the night.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

    NATIONAL ARBOR DAY

Trees afford us many pleasures. In the spring, their buds let us know warmer weather is on the way. Their summer leaves provide ample shade on a hot day. Have you ever joyfully jumped into a pile of crisp colorful leaves in the fall? And in the winter, tree branches offer shelter to wildlife for our viewing pleasure. Each year in April, National Arbor Day encourages us to celebrate and plant trees. The observance takes place each year on the last Friday in April.

    #NationalArborDay

Trees are more than signals of the changing season. They provide vital protection for the Earth's topsoil from erosion, oxygen, and homes for wildlife. Trees also are a renewable resource that provides a variety of materials for building, fuel, and office supplies. When we plant trees in our yard, we improve our enjoyment of our outdoor living spaces and our overall quality of life.

National Arbor Day celebrates all these things and aims for American generations to enjoy all the benefits trees have to offer.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL ARBOR DAY

Celebrate the day by planting a tree today.

Join a tree-planting event near you or organize one in your community.

Consider the trees you plant, too. While you may look for fast-growing trees so that you may enjoy the tree during your lifetime, planting a slower-growing tree is an investment in the future. Generations to come will enjoy the shade and beauty of the tree long after we're gone. And leaving something as precious as a tree behind is quite an investment.

Download and print the color page for the day. Share them with us when complete!

Share your celebration experiences using #NationalArborDay on Social Media.

    NATIONAL ARBOR DAY HISTORY

On April 10, 1872, journalist and newspaper editor J.Sterling Morton established Arbor Day in the state of Nebraska with hopes that it would spread across the country. This first celebration challenged the people of Nebraska to plant as many trees as they possibly could. Since the pioneers missed the trees and forests of the east, they answer the challenge by planting more than 1 million trees that very first year.

    Arbor Day FAQ

    Q. What's the difference between deciduous trees and coniferous trees?A. The trees with broad leaves that change color with the seasons are deciduous trees. Coniferous trees have needs, not leaves and stay green all year long.

    Q. Should I plant a fruit tree or a shade tree?A. Choosing the right tree for your space is important. Will you benefit from the shade? Will you enjoy the fruit or the wildlife that eats it? Cost and hardiness also are a factor. Visit Arborday.org for a guide to choosing the right tree for you.

@Tabatha_Cain I am so sorry they are going to the induction. They did it with both of my GD's kids. They both were causing her blood pressure to go CRAZY, and her life was at risk. The 2nd one, she did end up bleeding horribly, I found out the day after they almost lost her! SCARY CRAP that even in todays time having a child can cost a child.
