Tue 5/06: 3805~ I had to decide whether to push thru my foot pain or stay off it again. The pain isn’t really “bad” per se, kind of like a dull Charlie horse that I just can’t get rid of. And it’s only there when I walk in my sneakers. I walked thru the pain every other day. Today will be a crapshoot

Just had a great doctor's visit this morning! Lab results for my thyroid is awesome and the swelling from 2023 is now gone…they were concerned I might be sensitive to gluten, but that appears NOT to be the case! Also, thrilled with my weight progress and my getting my steps back up again! YAY! My day has been made!

Hi team: I want to apologize for being a little MIA and not much of a motivator this week. Truth is, I’m having a little trouble motivating myself this week. It’s been 5 weeks since my eye surgery, and I’m not much better today than I was after day 3. My surgeon says this is normal; it typically takes 2-3 months for a full recovery, but patience is not my forte. My distance vision is pretty good, but driving at night is a nightmare (the halos are dizzying) and reading is very hard still. So I ordered a kindle so I can enlarge the text and still read. I haven’t had much motivation to work out, but I’m trying. I’m just beyond frustrated. I’m tired of people telling me, “oh I had surgery and was great in just 2 days!” Okay, great for you. Can I punch you now? Just kidding. But not really lol. I know this will pass; everybody heals differently. I just need to wait it out. Sigh. Thanks for letting me vent! I’m glad I have Goose here to cheer me up🩷

@nancyinmiami sorry your recovery is taking so long and totally get your lack of patience, I'm the same way. Also understand your response to the well meaning people. It's similar to mine when my husband says something like - I accidentally lost 5 pounds. 🤬 I hope this passes soon and you can look back and laugh. Enjoy your Kindle, I'd be lost without mine.

CW: 143.2A gain of almost 3 lbs. Ouch. A lot of it has to be just water fluctuations. I hope. I didn't go that crazy this week. PMS did get me hard this week though. I wasn't as careful with food as I could have been. There may have been a bag or two of chips. And a few beers... I also didn't go to the gym since Sunday because I was too tired and drained. So I didn't follow my plan this week. Oops
Tonight is not going to help things, because we are going to have drinks with friends. After that, I'll get back to it and use the weekend to set me up for a better week. I hope to have a better weigh in next week.

I didn't really mean to get that many steps. My husband has recently taken over the boys night time walk but he hurt his knee so I took them. When we got home, I realized one of my sons lost one of his balls, which are his biggest obsession. They are kinda like his comfort, security blanket type thing. Very important. So after putting them to bed, I did the walk again, looking for it. I didn't find it but I did get 2 extra walks in.

Haven't worked out for 2 weeks. Had the worst case of flu in my life, been sick as a dog for about 10 days, last couple days I'm coming out of it. I'm going to be a bit more proactive about flu shots!! I got it from my son, he lost 10 pounds and I lost 0.5lb. I'm taking him out of the will.

CW: 149.8Draining, exhausting week. Had an eye doctor’s follow up this morning. I’ll probably need an additional surgery when I reach the 3-month mark (it’s been 5 weeks). So until then, I have to live with the halos, shadows, and all the other new vision changes I’m experiencing. But every cloud has a silver lining, I guess? Feeling this down is doing wonders for my weight loss lol. I’ll keep trying to look at the bright side. I am looking forward to the weekend, though. I will be pampered for Mother’s Day and plan to enjoy. I wish you all a wonderful weekend, and wishing a happy Mother’s Day to all celebrating. 🩷
