    Hi, I made it through the conference and it was not that bad. I was very glad to be home though. I've been catching up since then. We celebrated Mother's Day Sat because restaurants are not crowded and I enjoy getting a day off from cooking. Then we had game night. My kids both got me flowers.

    @trooworld - Yes, I'm still doing Mayo diet and I'm very happy with my progress. Work is OK, really looking to my time off that is coming up soon!

    Happy Mother's Day. If Mother's Day makes you sad, then here's a gentle hug for you.

    @micaroo4 Glad you’re safely there!

    @trooworld Thanks! Seriously busy day but sounds like you got in some fun and crossed some things to do off your list. Why do we waste time on those books that aren’t very good? Have a wonderful time with your in-laws today. Oh I love tuxedo cakes yum! That’s so true about moms and Mother’s Day it’s always a tough one for me too as I have a weird relationship with my Mom. I DID tip the deck in my favor of not buying the only impersonal card that fits her and discovering my brother got it too by getting a “from your daughter” card.

    @TeresaW2024 Thanks! Ha sounds like your niece and I are in the same place car shopping! LOL keep biting your tongue when your niece says she loved her previous car you know she’s probably frustrated with her dad and herself for letting him drive. You’re an awesome auntie! I hope you’re able to get back to in person church next week with a much stronger Joe. I want to come over and eat sandwiches and do puzzles with you!

    @txcritter69 Mother’s Day sounds like you’ll be enjoying a delicious meal and good company. Prior authorizations are such a pain though I’m glad you’re good at staying at this level with Wegovy for another night. Being more active could help with eating more. Enjoy the outdoors while painting today!

    HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY FRIENDS!

    I had a great day yesterday not overeating, I really dislike how I look/feel right now so I’m motivated to do something though Mother’s Day today makes it tough. I was proactive about it we’re celebrating at my brother’s house and I’m in charge of appetizers and had originally gotten a Greek cheese spiral and chips and salsa at Trader Joes but decided to pull the chips and make a veggie tray. I made a dill dip from my herbal cookbook and thought the amounts were a little crazy, turned out it’s to make a big batch and add 2T to the yogurt/sour cream and mayo. I added some fresh herbs from the garden too. Just finished stretching, think I’m going to work in the yard for a couple hours versus an indoor workout. The weather’s low 70s today so it’s perfect for getting plants in! Have a great Sunday.

    7 Day Reset- got everything done aside of buying the car but I have made progress. My Mom has a CRV and it’s super bumpy (we went to a funeral 4 hours away and my Dad and I have both had spinal surgeries and it was so bad at irritating our backs I was ready to be left on the side of the road just not to be in the car). Funny @TeresaW2024 that’s exactly what my brother said about hatchbacks that got me thinking, it would be a lot easier to get wood and potting mix into a hatchback. I’ll make some more progress in this area in the next week.

    @Katmary71 - Yes, I was just sitting here waiting to sneak that in between your posts. (what you said made me laugh…) Thank you for the kind words. Hugs to you regarding your Mom. I had a weird relationship with mine as well, so I get it.

    Shout-out to @sleepygirl79 @boboyardee @DrewsAnna and @Cornanda for making it onto the leaderboard!

    @TeresaW2024 It was nice. Lists rule! I know Mother's Day is hard for you. I hope it wasn't too bad yesterday. I don't blame you for not wanting to sit through that. Sounds like you had a tough workout! Way to go.

    @txcritter69 That sounds like a nice meal! That's good you can pinpoint certain foods that make your stomach upset. Congrats on the loss!

    @Cornanda Oh I forgot you went to the conference! I'm glad it went okay. How was the food at the conference, did that work out? Sounds like you had a nice Mother's Day celebration. I'm glad you are happy with how things are going and I hope the days off come soon! Ugh about the quote. That is not helpful lol. Since the update, leaving a comment is challenging at times.

    @Katmary71 Yes indeed! I know, right? I usually give up on a book after about 50 pages but this one, I tried to make it because my MIL paid for the book and also there was a lot of good reviews for this book. Thank you, I did have a nice time! I tried a very small piece of the cake and it was really good (and I didn't have any ill effects from eating it, which is a good and bad thing!). Good idea about the card. I'm sorry Mother's Day is tough for you, too. Hugs. Good choice to make a veggie tray. I hope you enjoyed working in the yard.

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Wow, that's great! YOu did a lot of work towards setting yourself up for success this week.

    @Digger61 Congrats on the loss!

    Hi all. Yesterday was nice. There was a last-minute change of plans for the food: my MIL didn't want Italian food, she wanted to make lunch instead. She arranged some cold cuts on a plate with sandwich fixings and made a simple chicken soup so that's what we had. It was good and better for us!

    Tracked yesterday? NO but I'm pretracked for today!

    @Katmary71 We are all convinced that the issues with my BIL started when his doctor put him on an antidepressant. The side effects are horrible!! He has been off the drug since the accident, and he is back to being himself. Of course, he will still never drive a car again or be trusted to take his meds properly. 😐️ Good job doing well with your eating. I imagine your dip was very tasty! I drive a 2021 CRV and it’s not bumpy at all. Is your mom’s CRV older, or maybe needs to see a mechanic? Yikes for your poor backs!  😕

    @Cornanda, I’m glad you are still doing well with the Mayo diet and happy with your progress. What a nice Mother’s Day you had! 🙂

    @trooworld Not only was your Mother’s Day meal healthier, it was much cheaper! I do find that if I pre-track my day, I do much better than tracking as I eat things. Maybe I will give it a try today.  🤔

    Good morning! It’s another rainy day, which is fine because I’m not going anywhere. My body is sore from yesterday’s lower body workout, but today is upper body so I will be balanced in my agony! 😂 I‘ve been thinking about how lazy I’ve gotten with our meals. Relying on easy things that aren’t always healthy for us has become a bad habit that needs to change. So, I’m looking on Skinnytaste and my Pinterest recipe boards for easy ideas that are still better quality than the crap I’ve been feeding us. I can’t keep eating like a giant toddler and expecting good results on the scale. 🙄

    Hi 👋

    I hope everyone had a good Mothers day. I really enjoyed my day with my kids and grand babes. I didn't overeat and drank plenty of water. I have been really nauseated lately but, so it has been pretty easy to not eat very much.

    I'm hoping for phone calls this week from drs this week to get my problem taken care of.

    One of my daughters got me a dragon crochet bowl.

    20250512_100928.jpg

    The other one got me a Coca-Cola speaker, it has color changing lights.

    20250512_101312.jpg

    Lol.. I probably will never use the light part of it because I'm not a partier anymore. Lol… it's really cute though.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    Great job @sleepygirl79 , @bobboyardee @DrewsAnna @Cornanda at being the team leaders and absolutely slaying last week! 44.44% in the green is amazing go team!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Oh wow you can make some great stuff with those ingredients prepped and ready to go! Do you throw green onions and chives into recipes as you go? Never thought of doing that with them smart idea! I love seeing all the teas you’re making on Instagram btw! I had the best tea from an herbalist at the permaculture fundraiser, it was hibiscus and berries and I peeked at the bottom and it was $40! I wanted to win that in the raffle but the person who won before me got it. Maybe I’ll be able to make some tea with dragonfruit.

    @Cornanda I was going to quote your post when I responded to you and saw that and deleted it, that is real weird! I’m thinking they’re trying to get things in groups to come up on internet searches so it won’t have the privacy it once did which is a sad change. Hugs to you too on the weird Moms!

    @trooworld Thanks! Oh yeah a gift book does make you feel like you have to read it, sometimes they’re just boring in the start but it’s tough to know without reading all of it. Your MIL changes sound really good! I’m glad the cake didn’t upset your stomach but get why that’s bad too.

    @TeresaW2024 Oh wow I’m glad to hear your BIL is doing better right now and it’s likely medication-related and not him being a jerk. They DO have a lot of side effects I’m glad he’s doing well and feeling back to himself. I’ve been reading the sports versions tend to ride bumpier maybe my Mom got a bumpy one? Hers is probably 2017 and it’s crazy sensitive to every bump (so detours on 99 were real rough). Oh maybe we need a recipe challenge this week so we try something new? I find my best recipes in this group!

    @DrewsAnna I love your gifts! Are you a dragon lover too? I hope you hear from the doctor this week as well.

    Hi team! Mother’s Day was nice for the most part. I got up and worked out then went to the farm and it started raining, I toughed it out for awhile then came home and crawled in bed to warm up. Been working on a mailing for the functional medicine practitioner and a sign for the CRPS walk my group’s doing next month. Did great with food today and have a big cup of tea to enjoy tonight to hopefully help with cravings. Have a great Tuesday!

    I am almost done being sick, and I finish teaching for the semester on Thursday. I am so ready for summer! Except for the heat. It's about to get extra hot here. Scary hot. I am going to have to figure out how to help my backyard chickens get through this week. Phew!

    We've had some nice visits with family, but it's been pouring rain most of the time since we arrived. The next two days are forecast for more of the same. We start driving the return trip on Thursday. Didn't have much opportunity to exercise yesterday. I'm hoping today might have enough breaks between downpours so I can get a walk.

    @TeresaW2024 True! Yes, for me, pretracking is like giving myself a road map. It really helps! Did you do it? Your poor body lol. Good idea to re-evaluate your menus. Skinnytaste has so many delicious recipes that are pretty easy to make. Good luck!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Congrats on the loss!

    @DrewsAnna I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day. That's a really cool bowl! Neat speaker, too.

    @Katmary71 Yeah, I was feeling guilty for giving up but I don't now lol. I'm glad you challenged @TeresaW2024 to make a new recipe! I'm glad you had a nice recipe. Was the "for the most part" the fact that you were in pain? Did the tea help with your cravings?

    @AustinRuadhain Congrats on the loss!

    @micaroo4 I'm glad you've been having a nice trip. Good luck on your trip home.

    Hi all. Work was okay yesterday. Nothing unusual happened, which is nice for a Monday. For dinner, I made Saucy Gochujang Noodles with Ground Turkey. It was easy to make and pretty good but spicy. I went to bed late, at 8:00 pm: my husband has a class on Monday nights and I have to pick him up from that and it makes me stay up later. I am tired today.

    Tracked yesterday? Yes!

    @Katmary71 Challenge accepted!! And I challenge you right back! 😀

    @AustinRuadhain , I’m glad you are feeling better! Yikes, that's scary heat! Your poor chicken. Maybe one of those outdoor water misters is what they need. 🙂

    @micaroo4 We are getting soooooo much rain too! That is great that you are having a nice visit with your family. 🙂

    @trooworld Of course, I didn’t pre-track. I am all talk and no action! 🤣I actually forgot as soon as I said I would. However, I should have tracked because I didn’t eat much and it would have been easy to do. Maybe today! 😀

    Good morning! I was happy to see a loss this week, and I will push this week and get out of the 230s once and for all! Today, I need to run up to the church and finally return some shirts that were way too big for me. That’s a good thing! 😀 We are still trying to find my niece her perfect, yet affordable SUV. I spent time this morning making a lovely, color-coded spreadsheet for her mortgage, car payment, and dishwasher repayment. My mom plans to give her money to help, so I had to add her to the spreadsheet. For a math-challenged girl, I am grateful to know how to use Excel. Have a great day! 🙂

    @trooworld- overall, the conference food was decent- lots of fruit and veggies available. However, there were some tempting sweet treats that I was able to mostly avoid. However, the last day the snacks was lots of large glass jars filled with full size candy bars. Those were gone before the small bowls of fruit. I guess that's how America eats. :(

    @katmary71- I wish your pain would go the heck away already!

    @TeresaW2024 - please share your new recipe adventure!

    Today is a "nurses week" lunch provided by my employer. Will have to try to stay out of trouble. The best part is a long lunch break! Also, MFP "tagger" is being wonky today. I shouldn't complain so much when MFP is free. However, it's just that they promote these "upgrades" that are not that great IMO.

    Hi 👋

    @Katmary71 yes, I'm a dragon lover too. My husband says it's childish, but, oh well… lol….

    I didn't get a call from the Dr yesterday. I called them and they said, the results weren't back in yet. They gave me the website to the company that does the tests. So, I created an account and was able to see the findings. My take was, I'm anemic and could possibly be having a problem with my liver, thyroid or kidneys. However, I'm not a dr, so I really don't know… I'm really hoping they call me today. I've been really fatigued, nauseated and no energy at all. Very light headed.... I probably should just go to the hospital, but I don't want to unless I have to.

    @AustinRuadhain Yikes I hope you find a way to keep the chickens cool! Glad to hear you’re feeling better and the semester is almost over, do you have any fun summer plans yet?

    @micaroo4 Oh no all that rain is the pits, I’m glad you still had a good time with family.

    @trooworld Thanks! For the most part because my Mom’s my mom and is frustrating. Tea does help me some with my cravings, I think the thing that helped the most was when I had Invisilgn. Yum your dinner sounds amazing!

    WHAT IS ONE HEALTHY HABIT YOU’VE ADDED THAT’S MADE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN YOUR JOURNEY SO FAR? Hm probably working out as I’m stronger and a little more flexible.

    @TeresaW2024 I’m down for a new recipe! Haha your response to @trooworld made me laugh I’ve done that where I say I’ll do something and get distracted and forget. That’s great you’re able to return too big shirts! That spreadsheet sounds very handy I’m a math-challenged gal too.

    @Cornanda Thank you me too on my pain! I agree with you that’s typical with MFP isn’t it?

    @DrewsAnna Awesome and no loving dragons is NOT childish, does your husband need a fire-breathing dragon to visit him? Hahaha. I hope you hear from the doctor today that’s frustrating you’re feeling so poor.

    Hi team! I have a fitting for orthotics then my class, she’s teaching the Amino Acid and cravings class and I talked a friend of mine into coming. Feeling real bad today I may have to start the steroid pack as I can barely walk. Have a great Wednesday friends.

    @DrewsAnna – That dragon yarn bowl is awesome! I love Chinese dragons. I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo of one.

    @Katmary71– I keep a chive plant, basil plant, and glass of green onions in my kitchen window. When they get too big, I’ll snip them up, freeze them on a parchment lined tray for 30 minutes, then put them in a freezer bag. They’re ready for me to sprinkle into anything 😊 I’m sure the hibiscus and berries tea was delicious! People either love hibiscus or they hate it. I’m so glad we love it! I’d love to hear how the dragonfruit tea goes when it’s ready. I’m so sorry about your foot pain. I hope the orthotics work.

    @TeresaW2024 – I love me some Excel spreadsheets!

    @Cornanda – Complain away. I pay for the premium service and I wish I had remembered to cancel it when it renewed.

    @lislisa123 – Hugs. I hope you start feeling better.

    I took yesterday off to have a “me” day. I did quite a bit of stamping stuff. I had an afternoon appt with my therapist and we discussed my weight loss issues. He used to counsel people that were going to get surgery and he said they would make me do 3 months of focused counseling and require me to lose a set amount of weight first. If I can lose weight on my own for those 3 months, there’s no reason to do anything surgically. I agreed. I’m just trying to stay positive and focused with my oil free-ness (still allowing oil spray for my popcorn, tho). So far, so good. Hunter and I watched Fight of Flight last night…freaking HILARIOUS! It was very obvious that it was made by the same people that brought us John Wick and Tucker & Dale vs Evil. Loved it!

    What’s one healthy habit you've added that’s made the biggest difference in your journey so far?

    Not successful enough to have a habit make an actual difference, but not using added oil definitely makes me feel better.
