@TeresaW2024 Thank you! I hope not, hopefully it was a once thing. Be inspired! I do get a lot of comments, more so recently. People at work. It took a good amount of weight loss for them to notice! I'm sorry about the thunderstorm. I hope you really don't have storms all weekend. Poor Maggie. Good job with the lifting! I also did lower body today and am sore lol. I almost couldn't go down the gym stairs lol. I hope you like the new program. I like that you try new things!
Hello all. I just got back from the gym. I lifted my lower body. I did NOT get an exertion headache! My legs are jelly now lol. The gym was pretty busy and I had to switch up my routine which slightly annoyed me but that's fine.

Hi 👋
Not much going on. It's going to be hot today, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing. I'll just let the energy flow to wherever it goes.
Last night we went to see a Journey cover band. It was so much fun. Lol… I actually wore makeup. Lol… I had trouble seeing my eyelashes so I did it by "feel" 😂😂😂
I have a couple of videos, but MFP won't let me post them because they are to big.
I'll create a link later if anyone is interested.
Y'all have a great day 😀

I got myself an over the counter Continuous Glucose Monitor. I was surprised by my readings - it shows that my glucose is under 70 for at least 25% of the time. It won't give a reading below 70, so I don't know how low it really goes. Since it was low in the night, I wondered if hypoglycemia might cause insomnia. I did some research: It DOES. So now I have to figure out how to address the low blood sugar at night, to see if that improves my sleep. If this turns out to be the root cause of my insomnia, fixing it would be life altering. Fingers crossed!

@Katmary71 - I wasn't paying attention to the weigh in reminder because I posted my weight on Friday. However, I scrolled back and it's not here, so there was a snafu. But today I noticed my name several times~! My apologies! I will post here, but it's Sunday, so maybe too late, but just in case:

Also, Saturday I logged on and there were hardly any posts. However today there are ton of new ones dated Friday, so MFP is glitching again. No one can complain as much about a free service as me!

@DrewsAnna That sounds like a fun concert . Pretty picture of you! I like your makeup, your eyes really stand out.
@gemwolf110 Way to go, Missy!
@Cornanda Oh no! And today, there are two new posts so I feel like I am talking to myself lol. Glitches!
Hi all. I'm going this morning to the gym, so hopefully I will not have an exertion headache. I made a good dinner last night: lavash bread pizza. I used a NY Times recipe for the most part but added some turkey pepperoni. It came out really delicious and was low in calories. Today, after the gym, I need to make my breakfasts for this week as I am sick of having yogurt and berries. I am going to make these wraps using lavash bread that have eggs, spinach, and feta in them. After that, we are going to a nature/animal center (I think).

Here's the recipe I made last night. It really hits the spot when craving pizza. You can get lavash at Trader Joe's and at international markets:
Lavash Pizza With Tomatoes, Mozzarella and Goat Cheese
1 9-by-12-inch piece of lavash
1⁄2 cup tightly packed grated or shredded fresh mozzarella (2 ounces)
2 plum tomatoes sliced
1⁄4 red onion sliced (optional)
1⁄2 cup crumbled goat cheese (2 ounces)
2 teaspoons fresh thyme
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oilHeat the oven to 375 degrees, preferably with a pizza stone in it.
Place the lavash on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the lavash, and top with the tomato slices and onion. Arrange the goat cheese over and between the tomato slices. Sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper. Drizzle on the olive oil.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until the lavash is crisp and dark brown on the edges. Remove from the heat and serve; or allow to cool slightly, then serve. Cut with a pizza wheel or scissors.

@trooworld - that recipe sounds yummy. I googled the lavash bread and it looks like it might puff up a little bit when baked which would be great for pizza or a breakfast wrap.
@Katmary71 - I'm sorry your roommate is leaving. Seems like you two are a good pair. :( {{HUG}}
@TeresaW2024 - I'm glad you were able to talk to the pastor about Joe. It's too bad that you're not getting spiritually fed at church- that's extra tough when you work there- you can't just go somewhere else. And then there's too much feeding with the potlucks and I hope someone else can step in and relieve you of that. I see what my Dad is going through caring for my Mom and it's a lot- so I get that your plate is very full. Sending hugs.
@DrewsAnna - you look——🤩 ! and I bet it was fun grooving out to your favorite Journey tunes.
Uneventful week here- Been super hot, getting in some long walks early am when it's still cool. We did finish our garage gym and I love it! Did not see deer this week, but we saw some turkeys. We could use some of those storms @TeresaW2024 has been getting. DS is coming over today. We are going to sort a few things that are still in his old room and then go to dinner. DD is still spending most of her time with her new BF. She asked me to look at some apartments with her next weekend- will she be moving out soon? Will have to see as she has champagne taste and a beer budget. If she does leave, I am ready. I have a couple of eating events this week (work related). I will have a plan before I go.
Have a great week!

@trooword I am inspired! ♥️ I love that you now go to a gym and we can share in our muscle pain. I can now kind of sit without pain, but I did upper body yesterday and now my triceps and upper traps are crying. 😆 Love that graphic! And now you have me wanting to make lavash bread and make some tasty food! 😀
@DrewsAnna How fun to go to a Journey cover band! You look lovely in your makeup!
@micarro4 I would love a CGM to know what is going on in my body! That is so exciting that you might have solved your insomnia! Is it a matter of eating something right before you go to bed?Good morning! My whole body is sore now from lifting the last two days, but I’m not stopping! Today is shoulder day. 👍I discovered something about Joe’s dementia in the last couple of days. Back story is that we never got an actual diagnosis of what type of dementia he had, and in the early days, he didn’t fit any particular type. I never thought he had Alzheimer’s, and now I truly believe he has Lewy Body dementia. He checks every single box of this terrible disease, and now that I know it will help me going forward in planning for his care. It’s all just so sad to watch my most awesome husband deteriorate into a shell of the person he was. But at least he still loves me big time, and I’m very grateful for that. Have a good day! 🙂

good morning my friends
Quick this morning. I had a busy weekend planned, just didn't realize how busy with all the driving. My grandkids are in a soccer tournament this weekend, there is a big agility competition going on, I have been going to watch as much as I can, a shower out at my cousins farm and our hockey team is in the playoffs that went into double overtime, so that a very very late night. I had five minutes before we have to here wanted to check in. I forgot to do my way in this morning before breakfast, I will do it tomorrow I promise!
I will share this picture with you. The agility competition has dogs of all ages, abilities and sizes. This little peanut was so cute to watch, she jumped 4" jumps♥️

Good morning Slims,
WOW y'all are a chatty bunch. It took me 2 mornings to catch up on all the reading. I am going to try and chichime in on a few things now and just jump in as we move along.
Welcome back @laurelfit57 and Welcome @alimalli86
@trooworld It is great to see that you and your hubby joined a gym together. You are going to look dynomite in time. Keep up the great work.
@laurelfit57 it is nice to see you back and that the pups are still keeping you moving. I missed all your posts with the pups.
@TeresaW2024 You and joJoe are in my prayers. I hope you will find the answers to your situation with the church.
@vegan4lyfe2012 How did your surgery go?
@DrewsAnna Your flowers are so pretty. I bet the Journey concert was the bomb. So are you moving up to the 1mg of Wegovy. I have been on the 0.5mg for 2 months and am going to do another month. I had issues at first and the side effects have calmed down. I see my Dr on the 24 and will discuss what we will then.
@Katmary71 That is awesome that you are fostering kittens. You do stay very busy. I get tired just reading about everything you do in a day.
We returned home from our trip to South Padre Island this past friday. We celebrated our 29th anniversary on June 5th. The trip was a great stress relief. I did not take the scale with me 😂 I did weigh in on Sat morning to see the damages and was up a pound. Not to bad for a week of no tracking. I am finished cleaning up the RV and it is ready for the next trip coming up July 7 to McKinney Falls State Park.

HAPPY DANCE, HAPPY DANCE!! I finally did it. I am under my start weight with MFP from back on March 14 2014.
I don't think this could have ever happened without the help of Wegovy. Even my depression has gotten better. This drug may not be for everyone but it has been a game changer for me.

@TeresaW2024 im all about listening to Christian study, debates and apologetics. I have not seen the new show. At the moment I don’t have access to it. But I’m eagerly awaiting to see it. I watch Duck Dynasty on repeat.

@trooworld I ’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Thank you! Ugh I’ve had exertion headaches before and they’re awful! Those are some seriously awesome measurements! SO glad you didn’t have another headache. Great job crushing the workout! Lavash wraps sound delicious! Hope the gym goes well and you’re up for the nature center that sounds fun. Thanks for the recipe! I’ve been doing that with low carb tortillas in the air fryer it IS low calorie and tasty, I love Trader Joe’s sweet and spicy jalapenos on it. As kids we used to get big rounds of lavash from the bakery by the Armenian church and put squeeze butter all over them, I can’t even imagine how many calories that was!
@TeresaW2024 Hope you had fun with the bestie ! I’m glad you had a good talk with the pastor, sounds like he’ll be less likely to be upset if you’re unable to go to church. Mike Winger’s topics look interesting I’ll let you know what I think. Yikes I’m sorry to hear of the thunderstorm waking you up those are frightening! Why are they usually worse in the middle of the night? I hope you get a break in the storms over the weekend and it’s not constant. Love reading you and Chris being so excited about workouts right now! Love your lifting enthusiasm! I’m sorry to hear about Joe fitting the traits for Lewy Body dementia (been off Googling it sounds awful).
@bobboyardee Congratulations on going 20 days without night snacking ! I’m guessing it’s 22 today you’ve been doing so well!
@alimalli86 Nice loss ! I hope you’re able to go for a walk too.
@DrewsAnna The Journey cover band sounds like a blast , you look beautiful!
@micaroo4 Yikes I ’m glad you discovered the hypoglycemia did you get the monitor because you suspected it or out of curiosity? Great to find that out! I’d definitely recommend getting a regular monitor to show you how low you’re going. I’m impressed you’re not waking up and mowing down all the food in the fridge, haha! I’ve had issues with it when I was first diagnosed as diabetic and put on too much medication then later when I lost a lot of weight. A balanced snack before bedtime can help a lot with getting through the night.
@Cornanda I just saw posts that I didn ’t see on here last night I think you’re right it’s being glitchy. Only one of DrewsAnna’s photos were there last night too wth? Meanwhile I forgot to post my replies last night so that’s on me! Have a great time with your son! Oh I’m curious what happens with your daughter’s apartment shopping!
@txcritter69 I ’m so glad you enjoyed your trip and anniversary! Only being up a pound is great with no tracking, chances are that will be gone fast from extra sodium. How exciting to be heading out for an RV trip soon! Congratulations for being under your start weight woot woot!
WAY TO GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES IN FIRST PLACE! Great job leading the pack @lislisa123 @19shmoo69 @sleepygirl79
@baodell17724 Great job throwing the smaller bags of snacks away !
@laurelfit57 Wow that IS a very busy weekend ! Great to see you drop in! I’d love to watch agility training sometime it looks so awesome.
QUESTION: YOU WAKE UP THIS MORNING KNOWING YOU UN/INTENTIONALLY OVER-ATE YESTERDAY.
HOW DO YOU FEEL? GUILTY AND DISAPPOINTED BUT IT’S TIME TO MOVE ON. 2. MY THOUGHTS ARE IF I’M REALLY FULL MAYBE I’LL EAT LIGHTER IN THE MORNING TO BALANCE OUT THE DAY BEFORE OR ADD A BIT MORE CARDIO. 3. WHAT WILL YOU DO? TRY TO DO BETTER AND LEARN SOMETHING FROM IT HAPPENING THE NIGHT BEFORE.
Hi friends! I left last night and hadn’t posted my comments so this post will be huge! Yesterday morning I said bye to my roommate, turns out she had to leave some boxes behind so she’ll be back for them but she’s gone as far as living here. I went to Sacramento for the CRPS Awareness walk, I’ll post a couple pics from it soon. I went to the park and there were more people than I expected, we walked through the rose garden talking then hung out at a picnic table. One of them has the spinal symptoms I do I wish I’d gotten her number to talk to her more. I brought cuties, cheese, and a cut-up cantaloupe (CRPS color is orange) and the latter was gone super fast so glad I thought of it! I got home mid afternoon and rested for a bit then I went to the community garden to water my gardens where I planted seeds which only takes a few minutes. Unless you’re an idiot and lock keys and phone in the car! I was already exhausted and hiking to the nearest gas station when I’m in the middle of a neighborhood wasn’t in my plans but even if I made it home I couldn’t get in there either so my goal was getting a family member to call AAA for me since my card was in my car too. The attendant was great about letting me use his phones and the only two numbers I know by heart are my folks and brother and neither was picking up at first but on the 8th try my brother picked up and called his AAA for me and he came to sit with me and wait (a stranger gave me a ride back she was awesome) as I had to sit in the parking lot to show them where my car was (in back down a road and I’d locked it in as I had my purse in the front seat). Today we celebrated Father’s Day early, my Dad wanted help in his yard. I woke up flared up and still went and am exhausted now, just got out of the tub. Food hasn’t been the greatest but I feel like I’m mentally straightening out.
Have a great Monday everyone.

WEIGH IN UPDATE
WEIGH INS DUE TODAY FROM @laurelfit57 (tomorrow is fine no worries!)
Reminder To Weigh In Tomorrow To @vegan4lyfe2012 @bobboyardee @AustinRuadhainHave an odd question what made you pick your weigh in day? Why are YOU a Monday or Friday weigh-in?
I was weighing in on Mondays when I was doing really good, it helped me stay on track on weekends. With my CRPS relapse and struggling more often I decided on Friday to take some of the stress off. Debating on changing it back now that I'm thinking of it.
2 -
What made you pick your weigh in day? I chose Saturday because that's the weigh in day of the 5% Challenge. I weigh myself daily, so I just chose Saturday so I'd remember to post it.
3 -
@trooworld - I'm so sorry about your friend- I forgot to post that yesterday Hugs to you.
@txcritter69 - Congrats on your success with Wegovy!
@Katmary71 - Ugggggh- Sounds like you had the definition of both a very good and very bad day!
@TeresaW2024 - It must be so hard to deal with the decline of a spouse. Keep on weight lifting- go you!
@laurelfit57 - that sounds like a very busy weekend. I would love to see the 4 inch jumps!

"Have an odd question what made you pick your weigh in day? Why are YOU a Monday or Friday weigh-in?"
I decided to keep with Saturday, even before I joined MFP and any of the Challenges, because I started my wellness journey on SATURDAY, June 1st, 2024, and so it seemed appropriate. (Of course, I'm also in a TOPS men's group on THURSDAY, and so now I really have to be "on my toes" with my exercising and eating, because I have to report then as well !!! 😮 LOL

Congrats to the entire team for achieving 1st place! A special shout-out goes to @lislisa123 and @19shmoo69 for leading the way! Additional mention goes to @sleepygirl79 for making it onto the leaderboard.
@Cornanda It was really good. I didn't notice it puffing up but maybe because of all the toppings I put on it! LOL Great job with the walks. Yay for the garage gym! What is your favorite piece of equipment in it? Have you used the gym yet? Interesting about DD moving out. Good luck with the work events. Thanks about my friend. I will miss her.
@TeresaW2024 Good ! Yes, we can. I am SOOOORE today! It hurt to get on and off the toilet lol. Your poor upper body! You have to try that pizza, it is so good! I'm glad knowing what kind of dementia Joe has will help. I'm sure it is sad to watch his decline. I wish I could make him healthy.
@laurelfit57 Sounds like a busy weekend indeed ! What a cute little pup.
@txcritter69 Thank you so much ! Happy belated anniversary! I'm glad you had a good time on your trip. Up 1 lb is not bad at all! Yay for being under your starting weight!!!
@Katmary71 Thank you . Yes, the exertion headaches are terrible, I hope they are gone for good! I didn't make it to the nature center but will go another day. What you did with the lavash as a kid sounds delicious but yes, lots of cals lol. I got my lavash from an international market. That's too bad the roommate moved out, I know how much you liked her. Oh no! I'm sorry about hte locking the keys and phone in the car. It's a good thing you know ANY numbers by heart, I only know my husband's and sister-in-law's. What an ordeal! I'm sorry about the flare-up. Your question: I figured a long time ago that since I used to overindulge on the weekends, I would have the best weigh-in on Fridays vs another day. Now, ti's not a problem but back then, it was.
Hi all. Now, MFP is putting an extra space before my periods in my sentences when I paste my comments into the comment box. I am not going to fix it. I made it to the gym and did my workout with no headache. While there, I took a pic in the bathroom as I don't really have a full-length mirror in my house. I will put a "before and during" below. The before is from October. My husband told me yesterday that I lost weight in my chest lol and he could really see the weight loss in my tummy and face and all over. I made my breakfast for the week and we went and got coffee and read. Came home and took a nap and then made a meal for tomorrow plus made dinner. I also cut up a sweet watermelon we had for about 3 days that had just been sitting there waiting on attention. I had a lot of energy.

QUESTION: You wake up this morning, knowing you un/intentionally over-ate yesterday.
- How do you feel? I am sad.
- What are your thoughts? I get on the scale to see where things are. I start by thinking about actions to take this week to improve. The next set of thoughts is thinking about the situation and how to plan better for next time.
- What will you do? I extend my morning fasting window, assuming I am not hungry. I make plans forf the week to get back on my food and exercise plan.

Now for socializing and a check-in! (Take 2. I just had a copy of this comment completely disappear when I hit an incorrect key. My fault. I am back to tying this up elsewhere and then pasting it in.)
Also, I, too, had the odd experience of checking in on MFP and it seeming quiet, and now am seeing a flood of new posts.
@lislisa123 and @19shmoo69 and @sleepygirl79 - Congratulations on the great week you all had! Thanks for inspiring and leading the way!
@trooworld - Congratulations on being the good kind of sore today! Your husband sounds like such a good friend, noticing the changes and saying so. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I loved that fierce flexed arm in the “now” picture.
Also, the lavash pizza sounds delicious! Fresh thyme is so nice. I hope the new breakfast with spinach and eggs came out well!@Katmary71 - What a packed weekend you had. I am sorry about the almost final departure of your roommate. That sounds like a sad change. You have all my sympathy about locking keys in the car. Ouch. We have all done it, but it’s no fun. It was sweet of you to do Father’s Day gardening when you were flared up. I hope you are recovering well today. {{HUG}}
@txcritter69 - Congratulations on the milestone! Your RV adventures sound so fun. Enjoy the July trip to McKinney Falls. That’s a beautiful park!
@laurelfit57 - The agility competition looks and sounds super fun! The little dog making 4-inch jumps sounds so cute!
@TeresaW2024 - Your gym work is inspiring! I am about to start making myself sore this week with daily calisthenics. I am looking forward to joining the ranks of the sore. Your husband's dementia sounds so tough (I looked it up; wow).
@Cornanda - It sounds like exciting times at your house. Your DD's “champagne tastes and a beer budget” made me smile.
@micaroo4 - A big wow to the detective work as regards your blood sugar! Crossing my fingers that this turns out to resolve the insomnia.
@jessicakrall8 - Thanks for your work on the Glass Half Full Challenge. I will check it out!
@DrewsAnna - The Journey cover band concert sounds super fun. You look great in your picture, eye makeup and all!
* * *
I had a good weekend. Friday night I went to the first meeting of a new book club. We went to a super sweet little place that had no really good food choices for me. I had checked the menu ahead of time and made sure I didn't go hungry. I went with the only fruit option (apples from a slice of vegan pie) and enjoyed the conversation enormously. I got in on this late and had not read the book, so I just listened to that part of the discussion and said not to worry about spoilers.
I got in long walks on Saturday (85 min) and Sunday (92 min) and am sore today. I included a few intervals early on on the Saturday walk, to help myself speed up, and was happy with that. Sunday, I just wanted to get in the walking time in despite having headed out when it was hot. I walked slower and got through despite the heat, though I drank 24 oz of water when I got home. I was playing a game to earn a Garmin badge of 5 walks over a week, each 5 minutes longer than the last. There's another one that's a two week challenge with 10 walks. I will have to start over and be disciplined about keeping my starting walks shorter. I cannot see continuing and having my Sunday walk this week be 145 minutes.
My son came home for a bit over the weekend, which was great fun. We all talked a lot, and watched an episode of Murderbot together, which was relaxing and funny. He and my husband talked for two hours on Saturday night about life, coding, AI and philosophy. My son and I went thrifting on Sunday, as he wanted some nicer clothes before he heads out of town for an internship. I came home with two new pairs of workout pants. My favorite bit: he found a shirt he liked with a small stain. It was a black shirt with irregular gray threads shot through, and the stain was dark reddish, as if a spot had been bleached slightly. I suggested he get it and that we try fixing the spot with a black Sharpie. We came home and he gave the sharpie a try, and all looked good. Next time we walk, I will ask if it came out of the wash okay. It was certainly fun to try rescuing it, as it was a really nice shirt.
Okay, time to post this, as my poor neglected cats, Piku and Habibi, assure me they are starving and I am ready for a cup of coffee!1
