    Starting Weight: 286.2 lbs (6 / 1 / 2024)

    Past Weight: 208.8 lbs

    Current Weight: 207.6 lbs

    Down 1.2 lbs 😊

    Exercise💦: 13 hours this week

[Nothing to report, except that I'm pleased that I'm down at least a pound. My weight has been jumping up and down, even though my eating and water intake has been good. I know I have to "up" my exercise, but even with the A.C. on I don't have that extra "get up and go" !!!😑 Trying to swallow more protein, it's a battle.]

@AustinRuadhain Your kitty is beautiful ! I love black cats. That makes me sad, too. If I could have cats (I can't because of my jerk dogs), I'd adopt a black cat.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Sorry about the gain . Sodium will do it! Good water intake, wow! I hope you get something out of the book. I really liked Atomic Habits. How exciting for Oliver to say Grammy! And then Byron! Was that the first time they said anything? They are a great "why"! What good food! I had shrimp tacos with roasted broccoli yesterday and I am having "Zesty Philly Cheesesteak Skillet" for dinner.

@Katmary71 Hey , cat lady! :) OMG the kittens are precious! Oh when traffic is light, I'm working out at home, no time to go to the gym. But I have plenty of equipment at home to do a nice workout! I used Frank's Buffalo Sauce, which is milder than the hot sauce. Thank you, I do hope I see a loss next week! Wow, that's a lot of work at the farm. Have a great day!

@laurelfit57 I'm sorry about the grandkids not getting along . I bet that does make for a long evening. Good luck at the walk today! Have a great weekend.

@alimalli86 Great job ! In the US, we do weigh in pounds but that's good it motivates you to see the stones drop! Have a great weekend!

@baodell17724 Congrats on your loss ! Keep fighting the protein fight. :)

Hi all. I worked all day and then went to the gym. I had a good workout. I forgot to start the workout on my watch, which annoyed me lol. I started it 11 minutes after I actually started my watch, so it didn't track the full workout. Oh well, my body knows I did it! I made Grilled Shrimp Tacos with Peach Salsa (a Skinnytaste recipe) for dinner, and it was pretty good. I made it on the stove. This morning, I'm going to the gym and then probably to coffee. Later, I have to pick up groceries and then go to a baby shower for someone at work. I wish I hadn't said I was going to go, I'm not looking forward to it. Oh, forgot to say, I got a cantaloupe and a mini watermelon from the store yesterday. Instead of letting them sit on the counter until they rotted, I cut them up yesterday so now we have fruit to eat!!! Also, I started creatine again, this time I am slowly working my way up to a full dose so I don't get a bellyache.

    Tracked yesterday? Yes

It's Father's Day weekend here in the USA. Cookouts if the weather is favorable. Food pushers. Don't let any well-meaning saboteurs pull you off track. If you hear the weekend whispering "You can start over on Monday", shush that voice and take control. Honor your own intentions. It's not about being perfect; it's about staying true to the promises you made to yourself.

Happy Saturday! And hurray for pictures!

I am checking in to make plans and melt at @KatMary71's kittens. I'll catch up with everyone's posts later today (after a board meeting).

Friday went well, and it helped that I had checked in here.

    Health plans for Friday:

    • 🟡 Eating window 11AM - 7 PM (finished at 7:30, not bad but wasn't the goal)
    • 🟢 Lunch: beans and greens
    • 🟢 Dinner: large salad
    • 🟢 Take my vitamins (after lunch and dinner)
    • 🟢 Just one serving of fruit today
    • 🟡 Walk at least 51 minutes (I subbed a second stair-stepping session)
    • 🟢 Strength training (15+ min)
    • ⚪ Yoga (15+ min)
    • 🟢 Some stair stepping or a fitness video (Leslie Sansone?)

    Plans for today

    • 🟡 Eating window 11AM - 7 PM
    • 🟢 Lunch: beans and greens
    • ⚪ Stick to iced tea at post-meeting gathering, if any
    • ⚪ Dinner: large salad
    • ⚪ Take my vitamins (after lunch and dinner)
    • ⚪ Just one serving of fruit today
    • ⚪ Strength training (15+ min)
    • ⚪ Some stair stepping or a fitness video (Leslie Sansone?)
    • ⚪ Buy more frozen greens at the grocery store

Hello everyone! Sorry that I’ve been missing, but Joe went to the hospital on Thursday afternoon and was admitted with a twisted colon. Fortunately, he didn’t have a major surgery, but the procedure was still intensive, and they had to knock him out. They thought it came back today, but he instead the scan showed that he still has an infectious Colitis. So the poor guy can’t eat or drink anything, and has to be on some heavy-duty antibiotics. It’s been exhausting to have to sit up at the hospital all day, and I hate coming home to sleep, but I can’t stay the night, or I would be no good to him at all. I’m praying he can go home tomorrow, but who knows? Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. 🙂

    Those kitties!!!!😻😻😻

@TeresaW2024 Poor Joe that sounds horrible! I’m glad he was knocked out for the procedure. Praying this colitis goes away ASAP and he’s home soon.

@AustinRuadhain Good luck with the board meeting! We have ours next Saturday. You did great with your goals!

@micaroo4 Great advice from you on the weekend!

@lauren _989 Thank you for logging all the weigh ins for today! I appreciate you!

@trooworld Oh good I didn’t realize you had a lot of equipment at home. Hey do you use that pilates bar? I’m still thinking of getting it. It’s SO annoying to forget to start the workout on the watch! I forgot about the shrimp recipe you’ve had that before right? It sounds really good! Very smart to cut up the melons and enjoy them.

@baodell17724 I’m like you with protein it’s always been the hardest one for me to get. If you aren’t a big meat eater Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, and protein drinks help a lot.

@Cornanda I sure do! Funny the woman in charge of the rescue group was rubbing her nose thinking something was on it when she dropped them off. The orange one has an interesting nose too.

@alimalli86 Woohoo congrats on a lower stone bracket! Keeping up with the chat can be overwhelming, it helps to have a word document open while reading and if you want to comment you can do so as you go then copy and paste it. You’re welcome to just reply to things you want or tell us how you are too there’s no real rules aside of the weekly weigh-in. Do you have any pets?

@laurelfit57 Oh no hope the grandkids have a better day tomorrow! I hope the rain doesn’t make the walk too difficult for you and Ty. A hoop performance sounds fascinating good luck to your bonus daughter!

Hi friends! I’m running to meet a friend, thanks for all the sweet comments on the kitties!

@gemwolf110 Congrats on the loss !

@AustinRuadhain Good job Friday ! I hope you had just as a successful Saturday!

@TeresaW2024 I'm sorry about dear Joe , I'm glad it wasn't a major surgery. The poor man! And poor you for being so exhausted. I hope he gets to come home today. Big hugs and good thoughts to you.

@Katmary71 Oh yes ! We have: a Tonal home gym, kettlebells, adjustable weights (although these are on the heavy side and I might not be able to use them), lighter dumbbells, bands, a pilates bar, a pull-up bar, a weight bench, an adjustable weight bench...I may be forgetting something! I haven't used the pilates bar but should. Maybe on the next light traffic day, I'll give it a whirl. I was so mad about starting the workout late but then guess what? Yesterday, I didn't even start it at all when I did my workout! LOL I was very mad about that. I had not made that recipe for the shrimp tacos before. It was pretty good, a solid recipe, I'd give it a 3.75-4 out of 5. I'd try it again. I hope you enjoyed time with your friend.

@baodell17724 I always make my own refried beans , they are easy to make and much better than canned. I don't use lard, I use olive oil to make them. I just bought some canned garbanzo beans yesterday to make hummus.

Hi all. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to those who celebrate! And to those that don't or have a tough time today, I hope your day goes well and big hugs to you. The gym went well. My lower body was very tired after my workout, I had to hold the handrail at the gym to make it up and down the stairs to stretch and then leave lol. The baby shower ended up being fun: I was worried there would be a bunch of people I didn't know there but it ended up being a small group of about 8 of my favorite people from work, so it was okay. It was really well done and a lot of fun, dare I say. After that, I met my husband at a beer place and we had non-alcoholic beers. I didn't need dinner because I had appetizers at the baby shower. Today, we are going to the county fair.

    Tracked yesterday? Yes

@vegan4lyfe2012 - glad the info on the readers was helpful- Grammy from the beh beh must have been music to your ears!

@AustinRuadhain - your kitty is beautiful. I am on my second black dog and they have the same issue

@laurelfit57 - how was your busy Saturday? Nice loss!

@alimalli86 - Hooray for the next stone bracket!

@baodell17724 - 13 hours of exercise! Go you!

@trooworld - Sounds like you have had a fun and busy weekend. Good work cutting up the fruit and getting those workouts in. You had a "plateau-ish" week- hang in there- those are so frustrating. I'm about due for one and am dreading it. You are doing all the right things

@micaroo4 - thank you for reminding us all that that "you can start over Monday" voice never comes from a good place

@TeresaW2024 - I'm so sorry about Joe. I'm glad they were able to untwist things and now hopefully they can get the colitis under control quickly. I'm wishing you moments of calm and peace and rest during these hard days

@Katmary71 - keep us updated on your kitty adventures

Got together yesterday with the kids and went out for brunch- that was our early Father's Day celebration. Hate fighting the crowds at restaurants on the actual day. I made a healthy choice, but felt quite full all afternoon. DD has had some job interviews and put the apartment looking on hold for a bit. Wants to see if she will make anymore $$. We'll see if she invites me to go with her when the time comes or goes with the BF. Either way is fine with me. My eating challenges from the week are over and I did OK, although there may be a cumulative effect since there were several.

Happy Father's Day and have a good week!

A very happy Father's Day to all those dads out there!

@trooworld i'm so glad the baby shower was fun . I have the same trepidation when I am going to showers of any sort. I'm always wondering if I will know people and I'm not really a big game person.  How did the fair go, it sounds like fun!

@Cornanda Saturday was super busy lol . My daughter-in-law's show wasn't until 830 so I didn't get home until after 11:30. I'm just not a late night person.  That is really smart to go the day before Father's Day, everything can be so crazy that day.  I'm hoping you like the boyfriend:-). Glad you're eating challenges are over for the week, when there are several in the week that does present a challenge for sure!

@txcritter69 yay you ! Congratulations on 30 pounds down, well done!!

@katmary71 I hope you share some more pictures of the kittens 🥰

Saturday was a super fun day, but so busy.

My daughter-in-law did an amazing performance on the hoop, it was a group number. Those women are so strong!

I am not used to being out late at night anymore.

I didn't sign up for my usual Sunday morning class at the gym, I thought getting sleep was more important :-). It was absolutely beautiful out this morning so I took the dogs for a super long walk. Ty is becoming much more manageable when we are going for walks, which is delightful! Last year our walks were very short because she was so crazy. Either next week or the following week I'm going to try taking the dogs into the river Valley. It's not the dogs that are my hold up, there is a long trail that I have to walk into the Rivervalley, or should I say coming out out of the river valley. For the first month it is always a killer!  I think I mentioned that ice cream/slushy/sorbet maker that I bought last week. I absolutely love it, but it is to big and heavy!  I am going to return it tomorrow. The thing that I love making the most was the sugar-free sorbet, found out I can easily make that in my food processor, big win!

my goal for next week is no eating after seven.

Hope everybody had a great weekend!

Congrats to the whole team for achieving 3rd place! A special shout-out goes to @AustinRuadhain for leading the way ! Additional shout-outs go to @alimalli86 and @DrewsAnna for making it onto the leaderboard . Way to go!!!

@laurelfit57 Congrats on the loss ! Thank you, me too! I was dreading that baby shower lol. The fair was pretty fun: I saw the CUTEST adoptable pug/poodle mix there, she was sooooo sweet! If I wasn't at my condo's limit, I would have snatched her up! The theme of the fair this year is pets, that's why the adoptable animals were there. Getting sleep is important! Good job wtih the walk. I'm glad you figured out how to make the sorbet, that's too bad that machine is so heavy but I don't blame you for returning it! Have a great week!

@sleepygirl79 Congrats on the loss !

@Cornanda I have ! Thank you. I'm glad I cut up the fruit, it already came in handy! Yeah, weigh-in was definitely frustrating. I hope you skip the plateau-ish week! Thank you so much, friend! That was smart to skip the crowds for Father's Day. Good luck to your DD! I hope she finds the perfect job.

@baodell17724 Interesting article , thanks for sharing!

@txcritter69 Go get 'em ! Congrats on your 30 lbs lost badge! That's a nice feeling when you see hope.

Hi all. I did not sleep well: I woke up at 2 am and just drifted in and out of light sleep until 3 am when I couldn't sleep anymore, so I got up. I am off today as Employee Appreciation Day. I plan on going to the gym at 5 am and getting it over with. This will be the first time I go without my husband. I'm a bit nervous, but I will be fine. Yesterday's gym visit was good, but again, I forgot to start the workout on my watch when I did weights. At least I remembered to start it for my 20-minute cardio session on the recumbent bike! I did a 45-minute strength training session and then the bike. We went to the fair and walked around. We were bombarded with all the crazy fair foods, but we didn't have anything. I couldn't have much if I had wanted something, but there is always this pineapple boat with shrimp and rice I sometimes get I could have had. Everything was so expensive. We decided instead to use a gift certificate for Uber Eats that we had. We went home and got Mediterranean food delivered. I got a grilled chicken wrap and ate about 1/3-1/2 of it. It wasn't very good because it arrived cold. Oh well.

    Tracked yesterday? Yes

    In the green — hurray!

I am so glad I did a mid-week weigh-in for myself and started adjusting. Also a big hurray to having a plan for Father's Day. My husband chose a restaurant where I could get vegan hot and sour soup, which was delicious, light and filling. It did give me a challenge for logging my food, as one of the vegetables is a new one to me — Elephant Ear Stalks - Bạc Hà. I am going to look for this one at the Asian market near me, as they had a lovely texture.

@baodell17724 - I'd be game for Slimpossible Zoom gatherings.

@baodell17724 - The term "fibermaxxing" is new to me, but I do pay attention to eating a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, and I do have a fiber goal set on MFP.

Re. canned beans: I do buy canned as a shortcut. Here in Texas, at least, I can get “no fat refried beans,” both pinto and black. I sometimes cook from dry and sometimes do not. When I get canned, though, I go for cooked beans in a can, minimal additives, for sure.

    Congratulations in the big loss!

@vegan4lyfe2012 - How is your read of “Master Your Mind” coming along? I hope your goal of more fresh/less processed food is doing well.

As a belated reply to your question about what folks are eating, I am doing food planning for the week today, and was reminded that I have not made Zucchini Noodles with Broth-Sauteed Vegetables in a while. So that's on my list. I also want to make a pitcher of ginger lemon water.

@DrewsAnna - The steakhouse dinner sounded amazing! Nutella is scary good. I just can’t go near it.

@Katmary71 - The kittens are sososo cute! Thank you for saying my black cat is cute. He’s such a sweetheart. Your description of basil bundles made me envious. I love basil. I should try (again) to grow it.

The Board meeting went well. The two people I had been feeling grumpy with showed up and I feel like things got ironed out. One apologized and said his diabetes meds have been making him snappish. The other said thanks for working on things rather than why aren’t you getting your volunteer work done faster, and I took that as an olive branch.

@alimalli86 - Congratulations on the mileSTONE!

Does “cwtch” rhyme with “put?” I have zero knowledge of how to pronounce anything Welsh, and am super curious.

@micaroo4 - Thank you for posting as you work on maintenance. It’s inspiring!

@trooworld - Thanks for the compliments on my black cat, Habibi. I do think he’s lovely but admit to being biased. :-D
