@frankwbrown Like Morenin, I'm struggling to find a place of peace about public posting when my weight suddenly shot up five pounds in a day, stayed there for three weeks, and dropped seven pounds in a day. I don't have my hormones under control, and public posting creates an issue for me with an old eating disorder. And since I've upped my exercise, gone off sweets, and eat like a saint, that puts me in a very dangerous place. I'm going to withdraw from this group until I can find that space of peace again. Sorry.

@frankwbrown Same. I have gained and lost the same 60 or so pounds too many times. This time is for my health. For anyone over 50 (heck, wish I had read it in my 30s), I highly recommend "Younger Next Year." There's also one particularly for Women, it's the pink one, of course. Great book. I'm listening to it on my walks. The accompanying "Thinner Next Year" is also excellent. There is a wealth of information on the science of aging, weight, and metabolism. I just want to feel healthy. Getting sick was the one thing that finally got my attention. I'll do just about anything not to go back to where I was at 230 lbs and an A1C of 9. Been there, done that, and don't want to go back. Fear, yeah, that's what got me.

Ouch! My son is home on leave from USAF so some celebrating with dinners out. Went to one of those restaurants with the calories listed on the items. The ribs were 1560 calories! They had a dessert with 2470 calories!!! I didn't have that lol. Also had a beer night with the boys. I'll try to recover this week to make June a success.

CW: 144.6I apologize for being MIA this week. I caught a stomach bug Tuesday night (or maybe it was food poisoning 🤷♀️), but I’ve been feeling horrible these past few days. Couldn’t eat anything on Wednesday, and managed some toast Thursday. So while I’m thrilled to see the weight loss this week, I know it’s not a realistic celebration and some weight might come back on as I get back to normal. Anyway, wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!!

@frankwbrown hi there! Question for you.. I noticed you put LWI for me. Does this mean late to weigh in? and does THAT mean that you won’t be able to count me in the ranking at the end of the week? The reason I ask is because I chose the earliest possible weigh-in date just in case I’m behind with logging that week I wouldn’t cause the moderators to be behind and I would be able to catch up before things start getting calculated for the end-of-week.
Please let me know. If this is the case now, how many days of leeway are we given before you can’t count it. Thank you

@Krysless2 LWI is a notification for the MODS to let them know you reported in past your weigh-in date. You will still count in the ranking at the end of the week, but it lets us know who reports in on time. You need to choose your weigh-in date for what works best for your schedule and try to log in ON that day each week. It's also better for keeping your own stats and patterns more consistent for your body. The stats performed by our team each week don't happen until Sat/Sun. If you need to change your weigh-in day, just let us know but please try to report in on your chosen day. Thanks! If you have too many missed weigh-ins you can be removed from the team…as with all things in weight loss, consistency is key. Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you Jessica. I keep a weight loss log in my phone’s notes and I weigh every day. So it’s not really a matter of body pattern (for me). Sometimes my weekends are just busy. But you really cleared it up for me and I thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I’ll try harder to get here on that day.. or I may move to Mondays if i can’t manage.

Happy Summer Solstice! I haven’t been sleeping well so I took a picture outside at midnight4 -
Just an observation — Summer Solstice time, and July 4th coming up.
In July of 2020, I chose Friday as my weigh-in day, but I don't remember why. But July 10th, 2020 was the start of my fitness journey. So I was looking at what day will be my fifth anniversary of that date. As you all know, a year is usually 52 weeks plus 1 day (plus one more day in leap years). So, five years (including one leap year) adds six days to five 52-week spans of time. I can view Friday July 11th as that fifth anniversary (1827 days), or I can view Friday July 4th as that date (exactly 5 52-week "years"). I think I'll go with July 4th. 🙂

I noticed that 11 of the 26 people on our team chose Friday as their weigh-in day. I can imagine many people choosing it because it's the day before the weekend, so hopefully leaves time the following week to undo any damage done by weekend excesses. I wonder if that's why I chose it five years ago. 🤔 😂
