Beautiful pic @lauren_989 .. really glad you're enjoying your vacation

@MaddawgMadsen that's a lot to worry about at once. Trying to understand the stressor causing you to overeat is a smart choice. When things calm down in our lives is when we can implement strategies for self care the next time things get hard.

For some reason i'm starting the day off a bit blue today. Looking to shake it off as we have lots of fun ahead planned.

    Late Friday weigh in

    PW 222.4

CW 222.5 darn no green by a tenth.

Oh well. Had a beer last night. That always puts me up a bit. I’m a little sloppy with my logging because we have been eating out. But I am not eating ice cream every night either! Win.

This PT for my hip is hurting. I have to kneel on my knee which is very delicate because of past injuries. Not sure I like it and boy o boy am I feeling it in the labrum muscles at the top of my thigh. At least I think it’s a muscle. It was better at PT but I am still limping at home when I first get up. Telling myself to give it some time.

@lauren_989 Beautiful view. Enjoy your vacation and family.

@ashleycarole86 Sorry to hear you are feeling blue. Give yourself some grace. You made a huge change to your life. Even if it’s all good, it still takes the mind and body a while to feel comfortable again. As a person who moved twice in two years, i know firsthand, it takes time. Give it to yourself. Enjoy what you can. Hugs.

I have been doing better at staying on track the last few days ❣️ I am trying to get as much sugar as possible out of my diet and have had two good days so far - the only sugar I’ve had was via fruit and a couple clif kid bars. Didn’t work out today but did get caught up on sleep, which I needed. Have my meal plan for the next week and got shopping done today. Made Tuscan chicken breasts tonight and they were delish 😊. Happy Saturday!

My husband, kids and I had a great stay at the cabin on Lake Huron. The weather was a little cooler than we had hoped so we didn't swim as much as we wanted, but we still enjoyed exploring the Dinosaur Garden in Ossineke.

I was a bit lax with logging, I think I got most of it but I probably forgot some things. I know I was over my goal the last few days. We were fairly active, lots of walking and some swimming. Tomorrow is my weigh in day.... we'll see what happens.

@stephanodda it's hard cutting out sugar, good for you and your progress.

    @micki48 happy anniversary!!

@ashleycarole86 blue days are no fun, I hope your mood has improved. I find if I spend some time outdoors or do some physical activity it usually boosts my mood some.

@lauren_989 that view is fantastic! Have a great rest of your trip.

@jguldi11 great job trying to track on vacation. I didn't track a single thing and am afraid of the damage 🫤

Today we walked around the town shops, went on a pedal boat, went up a ski lift and hiked some trails at the top, and went to the hot tub and pool. Busy day but a lot of fun. Only bad thing was I forgot to put sunscreen on before pedal boating and now I am a lobster! I have a ton of heat eminating off me 🫤

Oh no sunburn on vacation is the worst @lauren_989 ! Try to find some aloe with lidocaine in it, it really helps. Or soak some towels in cold black tea and set that on your sunburned areas for a while. There are anti-inflammatory compounds in black tea, and the cold feeling is very soothing.

And I just remembered my weigh in is Monday, not today. When I posted yesterday, I thought today was Monday lol. Still not looking forward to it but if I'm in the red this week it's not the end of the world, I'm already getting back on track.

    Remaining steps for last week:

    7/15 - 7675

    7/16 - 7646

    7/17 - 4348

    7/18 - 6184

    7/19 - 4929

Week started off strong and then I tapered off a bit

Thanks for all the support yesterday. I pushed through the blue feelings and Brad and I had a great day.. we bought a new dresser which we have really been needing for our new bedroom, went for a drive and went to the farmers market. Definitely agree that getting outside makes a difference.

And today was awesome. We had the boat out for the day, got to swim, had a BBQ on the boat… great day. Brad is making us a steak dinner now, great way to end the weekend.

@MaddawgMadsen I feel your feels, I was disappointed in my weigh in but when I looked at what I was doing, it made sense. Just slips here and there, having been sick, having that glass of wine, or beer…

And I'm posting for accountability - I have been sliding towards binging, and today I went to the store and deliberately bought binge food (not a lot, a 5 pack of small lemon slices and some Fiber One 90 cal brownies) but I had 3 of the lemon slices and I am STOPPING. I am NOT going to eat more, I'm going to eat planned food for the rest of the day, go to yoga, go to bed early, and NOT drink today.

I have a 25km trail run on Saturday, in the rain, and I am going to be healthy and fit and looking forward to it, dammit!!

    Happy Monday, Friends!

Still in bed and chose to come on here rather than doom scrolling, or looking at The Book of Faces, as my husband calls it!

@strong_fit_ells I would be the same if my son was around, but he's stateside with his wife (and they don't drink). Either way, I had 2 cocktails this weekend.

Actually, we went out for dinner on Friday night (I had salt and pepper calamari to start and grilled sea bass for my main course). I was driving so I had lime and tonic to drink.

@ashleycarole86 I'm so pleased that you managed to work through the fog of depression. Getting outside is such a tonic. I just need to remember that myself!

@lauren_989 If there's ONE THING that airports are good for it's FREE STEPS. And if you have to run for any reason such as making a connection, or suddenly noticing that you have to get to your gate (guilty), that certainly contributes to a workout!

I have a busy work week ahead, but I'm going to start it by having breakfast, blending the soup I made last night, then going off to get the groceries.

    Then I will regroup.

lauren_989 Hope you got to your destination safely.

ashleycarole86 Souds like a great way to end the week and recharge.

Alatariel75 Fantastic job not just eating the whole lot. That is a victory in itself.

strong_fit_ells Can only imagine how your schedule changes with your kids back.

I had a great weekend - Went to a fantastic party on Saturday and needed yesterday to recharge. I just don't do late nights anymore. Had a good workout in this morning and excited for another week filled with more party's my cousin is getting married this weekend and it's a 3 day celebration. Will need to keep my diet in check as there will so much tasty food.

I'm surprised to be in the green, but not complaining! Hopefully next week is a bigger loss now that I'm home and back on track.

I'll come back later to catch up on posts :)

I made it back from RI and NH. I had a blast seeing my family and hanging out with my nieces! We did a lot of activity (hiking, pedal boating, swimming), but I definitely ate more than I would have. I am back on track today and went to the gym. I will still have a gain this week, just hopefully nothing too bad!
