@Pearl4686 So much on your plate, Hope you can break it down into easier pieces to make it more manageable.
@ashleycarole86 Great job on the bike event.
@YinxFed Prayers for your husband, hope he can be back up and healthy soon. High five for staying away from alcohol.
jguldi11 I can only imagine how funny your daughter is watching you workout. Great role model for her.
@zankash23Excellent job on the weight loss.
@Kali225 I'm a bike shorts fan too. So hard to find shorts that are flattering and comfortable.

Greetings Friends!
Thank you all for your healing wishes for Ben. I got him home today and we are both just so happy that he's out of the hospital. Some serious life changes are going to take place moving forward, but since he's joining me now, I feel a lot more positive about us both shedding excess weight.
Food has been good today and I did a HIIT Circuit workout this morning too.

@YinxFed glad Ben is home now!
Question - who likes bike shorts? Most women's exercise shorts I hate because of chub rub. So I share (exercise) shorts with my hubby 🙈

Hola all, checking back in today after several days of being totally checked out…used a number of problems around the house (AC issues, plumbing issues) and personal stuff as excuses to emotional eat. I’ll confess I unfortunately had a big candy binge on Sunday afternoon - this hasn’t happened in a very long time. I threw out what was leftover on Monday morning…almost felt like I was drinking again as that was something I used to do often with alcohol. Feels icky. My sponsor constantly reminds me sugar is a drug too. But anyhoo
I’m getting back at it today. So many inspiring posts above that are helpful to get back on track. Plus I have tons of garden veggies to eat up 🙂. Hope everyone has a good day.

@cleaneater80 oh yes she is so silly and funny most of the time, particularly when I'm trying to workout. Like most 1 year olds she has no concept of personal space, which gets really interesting when trying to do squats or crunches 😆
@stephanodda wow look at those veggies! You must work really hard keeping your garden in good shape. Emotional eating is such a challenge, I struggle with that on occasion too. Good job removing the candy, and I hope you enjoy your fresh vegetables!
@lauren_989 I like bike shorts but I don't wear them while biking 😆 usually I wear them under skirts or dresses to help avoid chub rub, but if I'm going to be walking a lot or riding a bike I'm better off with capris leggings or else they ride up and are uncomfortable.
@YinxFed it's good to hear your husband is home! I'm sure you've been a good role model for him and having you both on the same page should be motivating!
Yesterday was a decent food day, could've had more fiber. Took the kids to my sister's again to swim, and got a lot of packing done for our trip this weekend. We're renting a cabin on Lake Huron (one of the great lakes) to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. I can't believe he's turning 4!

I assume we're not talking about padded bike shorts like i wear during a ride with the chamois? I rarely ever wear shorts as I don't like the way they fit on me but with my new city being over +30 many days, I may need to change that.
@stephanodda way to get back on track, moments like that can be tough mentally but it's great to put it behind you and focus on what's ahead
@YinxFed so glad you have your Ben home, great news

NSV - I hit a new PR (personal record) with my single rep deadlift. I was able to lift 190lbs (86.18kg)! And, if I hadn't run out of time, I think I might have been able to do 200lbs.
My bosses are here next week, so I finally get to hear what they have to offer me. It's only been a month and a half, but it feels like forever that they've been having me wait.
6 -
@MaddawgMadsen wow, that is a long time to wait until your bosses came back! I hope it's good news! Nice PR!
@stephanodda I hear you on the candy binges. I do the same thing! And then I usually eat it all at once, because I feel like I will gain less weight if I eat it all at once versus over a week. Crazy thinking. But those veggies look delicious!
Well my flight to RI got delayed from tonight to tomorrow morning 😫 I hate flying for this reason.

Bummer about the flight delay @lauren_989
Congrats on the PR @MaddawgMadsen .. total beast mode, good job girl
We are back home from our mini vacay, unpacked, and ready to get back to work tomorrow. We are both still sore from the ride on Sunday. Not terribly surprising. We had a great time.

h hi everyone. I’m trying so hard to catch up on posts but I have literally dropped my phone five times. I’ll have to do it in the morning.
Ashley—love your view.
Still logging 👍🏻 and Pilates has been good.

Well, I had a a gnarly headache again today. It hasn't fully gone away since it started on Sunday and seemed to worsen today, but now I think it's finally calming down. Due to that my healthy dinner plans did not happen and I resorted to a frozen pizza. It was thin crust and had lots of veggies, but still not ideal. I also didn't get any exercise in today. Trying to drink lots of water though.
NSV from yesterday, while I was getting my monthly massage I realized I can comfortably lay my arms at my side on the table now instead of having them dangle or crossed over my belly.
@MaddawgMadsen that's a super impressive PR!
@lauren_989 flight delays are so obnoxious. Safe travels when you do finally get to go.
@micki48 great job with the pilates and logging!

Welllllll…I’m sorry to be bringing down the team averages this week 😕. I promise to do better this next week and hopefully see a decent loss as I get on track! 🤞🙏

CW: 230.2Not surprised or letting myself beat myself up but it doesn’t help anyone to not be honest. Declaring a hard restart and recommitting to myself today! Started the day with kickboxing and a healthy breakfast, and I have my meals prepped and planned for the rest of the day. ❣️

@lauren_989 - I hope you were able to make your flight this morning!
@ashleycarole86 - Good luck getting back into the swing of things at work after your mini vacay (which sounds awesome!)
@jguldi11 - A monthly massage?! Color me jealous! And, fantastic NSV. Way to go!
@stephanodda - No need to be sorry. We all have swings back up and swings back down. Also, kickboxing sounds fun! Great way to start your day!
At crossfit last night, I accidentally dropped a 10# medicine ball on my face. (I am SO accident prone!) The worst part of it is that I got a slight concussion and had a horrific headache all night long. Now, I am going through today without sleep, still headachy, and with an upset stomach. At least I have a hair appointment this afternoon. They are always relaxing!

MaddawgMadsen Wow great job on lifting your PR - Hope you get the answers you are looking for at work. You deserve it.
@stephanodda We all have setbacks, don't beat yourself up too much.
@jguldi11 Enjoy your weekend at the lake.
My daughter is in a science camp this week and loving it. Makes the week easier for me plus I have a shorter work day to get her to camp which is making work more enjoyable.
I'm going to a Bat Mitsvah this weekend for my daughter's friend. I've never been to one nor a synagogue - will be a fantastic party and excited to see what it's about.
Having a great week - got up early for a workout, walked the dog and have my meals prepped -

@cleaneater80 that sounds like fun weekend plans!
@MaddawgMadsen oh no about the medicine ball! Take it easy!
@stephanodda can you clarify your weight? It looks like you lost 58 pounds 😂
I made it to RI! I am exhausted and had to wake up at 3:30am. Didn't make good food choices today...really need to focus.

Finally caught up. Ashley and Brad Congrats on completing another 40k race. So impressive.
Yinka glad to hear Ben is home from the hospital. I hope his recovery goes well. And how great that now you can do this together.MK I think you asked what fitness tracker I got. I ended up with another Fitbit. I like the app and all the Fitbit can monitor. What I don’t like is they don’t last long and can suddenly stop working.
I’ve consistently logged my food, good or bad. It’s been mostly good though. I’ve also done Pilates most days. I start PT tomorrow for my hip pain. I am interested in seeing what kind of exercises help.
Today was my 42nd anniversary! After picking up my granddaughter from camp, we took her to lunch, an art museum, and ice cream. Then my husband and I went out to dinner and had Italian. It was great but I went over my calories, but it will be ok. My weight was down today. Probably won’t be tomorrow. I also need to get my BP down. It’s high and I’m already on meds. All the more reason I REALLY need to walk. It’s just been so oppressively hot I can’t seem to make myself.

Happy anniversary @micki48 !!! Glad you and your husband were able to have a nice meal out together. Congrats on flexing that tracking muscle.. I need to get back to that myself as just winging it isn't working.

I forgot to weigh myself today. I will try to get it done tomorrow.

OK, I'm not going to say "I'm skipping weigh in this week because I've been away for work". I'm going to own up.

Hoping some of it is bloat, knowing that yesterday especially was allllll bad decisions. I'm still getting over this cold, and I found travelling for work extremely stressful this time about.
I have a 25km trail run next Saturday, and I am:
- Not drinking until then
- Sticking to planned meals and counting every calorie
- Getting decent sleep
- Walking daily and getting in 2 gentle runs to warm myself up

When I saw that number today I was disappointed because I thought I had been doing pretty well. But, then I actually thought about it. I have been stress eating all week and drinking beer almost every night. My bosses come this weekend and that alone is really stressful. On top of that, my husband hurt his back last week, we had family in town, my mom isn't doing all that well, and a family friend moved this week. I'm not trying to justify my over eating and drinking, I'm just trying to understand it. Hopefully everything will go back to normal sometime next week.
