Omg @jguldi11 that beach looks glorious! It’s been decades since I’ve been to one. Thx for the note on the eating on high workout days. I’m still trying to figure out reasonable goals because the Fitbit #’s that MFP reads don’t always make sense.
Workout today was 60 min of strength training and 30 min boxing. Feeling good about my super healthy lunch of grilled chicken breasts and a zucchini caprese salad - fresh out of my garden. Love this time of year when I can do that. Now to make pesto with the rest of the basil I picked since it was its time. Happy Saturday!4 -
Good for you coming back @strong_fit_ells !! And WTG on those steps!!! That’s awesome. I do hard workouts but they don’t give me that many steps and my job is super sedentary. I’m happy if I get 7000 a day 😬😬😜.

My husband and I went all in on a home gym, but with our recent move we sold most of our dumbbells. When we still had our last house, we had a full dumbbell rack which made for very easy resistance training. We are Peloton users and their app has lots of strength routines for bodyweight or if you have equipment so that makes it easy on us (when we actually make time!!)

Congrats on a successful race, sorry it wasn't the PR you wanted but glad you didn't suffer any major damage from the heat, not easy to exercise in for sure. There will always be the next time to PR! Keep up the great work, you've been so consistent with your races and it's motivating to see.
I am not sure anyone works harder than you do girl!! That must be exhausting.
We are running errands this morning. Well, it's afternoon now.. they have taken longer than expected. I didn't sleep well and am dragging butt today. Hopefully a better sleep is in the cards overnight.

@stephanodda that zucchini caprese salad looks divine!
We had a tiring day running errands, getting our new license plates on our car proved to be a bit of a chore as the old screws were rusted on so badly they had to be drilled off at a mechanic's shop. In any event, we're now road ready for our new province!
We came home and did a bunch of chores around the house and now I think we're both exhausted.
step catch-up
7/2- 6895 steps
7/3- 8310 steps
7/4- 10099 steps (we walked down to Ribfest in the park last night so that was great. We shared a full rack and a mac and cheese which was better than i think we thought we'd do!)

@stephanodda that looks delicious and amazing you grew yourself! I'm also the same with a sedentary job. If I don't do anything extra (walk on lunch, workout after work) I'm lucky to hit 2,500 steps. My goal is 7,000 steps as well!
@strong_fit_ells welcome back! I hope things calm down a bit for you.

@YinxFed Three weeks is officially a plateau. As frustrating as it can be, your body is taking the time to adjust. Be patient. You will start dropping again soon. Change something to give your body a wake up. I remember being at a 190s plateau for a couple months. It was almost unbelievable that I would steady weigh the same that long. I know you’ll break through.
Still doing great with logging here. I’ve been doing a little Pilates everyday. Only a 10 minute routine, but consistency is key I hear. Someone asked (sorry can’t remember who) if I do Pilates on my own, in person or virtual. I belong to a virtual group. It’s subscription called Lindywell, formerly The Balanced Life. She is great! And grown her business a lot since I joined in 2018. She always has 14 day free trials and I believe some of her older stuff is on YouTube. Let me know if you want more info. It also includes breath work, recipes and more.
My weight was pretty good and steady all week. Today it’s up a pound and a half. ?? I did have one beer and a glass of wine the day before and walked. So I don’t know if it’s inflammation from those things or what but food hasn’t really changed. Maybe I’m just building so much muscle from all this exercise. 🤣
Not fun was I saw a photo and video of me walking on the 4th. I wanted to cry. They say people who lose a lot of weight still don’t see their thin selves. I’m the opposite. I THINK I look better than I actually do. Ouchie! These little girls are cuties though. Grands!! 🥰❤️
Make it a great day!

Wahoo! Great job team on coming in first place this week! Great way to start off July 🥳
Congrats to the top winners: @cleaneater80 @Alatariel75 @zankash23 🎉
We had more than half the team in the green! 💚

Let's keep up the great work!

@micki48 Cute grandkids!! I am the same way - I feel like I'm in shape and not too overweight until I see a picture or try to run a mile. Body dysmorphia works both ways!
It's a chilly rainy day here with the tropical storm moving in. The temp outside only got to 72F and I just had to turn down the AC.

@stephanodda that zucchini caprese salad looks ahhhmazing! Is the zucchini raw? I don't think I've eaten raw zucchini before.
@micki48 you have adorable grandkids! Alcohol, even a little, tends to make me hold some water weight too.
@YinxFed oh plateaus are so frustrating! Stay the course and I'm sure you'll break through soon!
Great job team! I appreciate all of the support and accountability this group offers, this is the most consistent my weightloss has been in a long time. I'm excited to have lost 10 lbs so far!
Yesterday was a busy day, we went to a family BBQ, I managed to keep my portions mostly under control.
Today we stayed home, I did some housework and mostly rested, even got to take a nap while hubby managed the kids. It was a lovely treat! I'm going to try out a workout video, I want to have a bit more structured strength training exercise at least a couple days a week.

Posting for accountability, and I'm once again sorry that I seem to be so "me, me me" in here and not great with interacting with others.
I'm not having a good day today, I'm angry and tired and resentful and feeling hopeless and lost. I packed up some of my husband's stuff at lunch, just to feel like I'd progressed, and I'm working towards getting his office packed up. I know I should move my home office in to his it makes so much sense, but it's such a big step and I have a lot of feelings about that room. Mostly negative. Making it into my own space will take a lot of doing, I think. And of course first, it needs to be emptied out. I'm tempted to rent a storage unit for a while, just to have it so things aren't boxed up and just being moved from room to room in the house - so I can get a feel of what it looks like without this stuff there. I'm cautious though of making decisions when I'm feeling like this, all angry and reproachful, because I don't want to regret getting rid of anything or making major changes when the dust, and my temper, settles.
But in MFP related thoughts, it means I'm feeling belligerent and prone to binge. "Why shouldn't I just eat a block of chocolate??" I think. Which is stupid, because the only person that hurts is me, and I will just feel sad and hopeless that I did it. I know that. But binging for me isn't about comfort eating or self soothing, it's always been self harm, and that's where these thoughts go. I have been slipping the last few days, too. I'm bloated, and I know I've not been eating as mindfully as I should. Thank goodness, I've not been leaving too heavily into the wine.
I know if I can get through today, tomorrow will be better. I'm going to book yoga for 6pm so I have something to look forward to, something relaxing, and I won't want to feel bloated and gross for that so I'll stay out of the pantry.

Happy Monday all , congrats on 1st place this week !
I had a nice weekend, I got some stuff done, I have stupid earwigs on my plants, my oldest sons apartment caught on fire, just belongings damaged, no people or animals.
I did good on the 4th of July, I did 30 minutes of pilates, then a ton around the house, Saturday we went to the pool and I had a few drinks, well that made the rest of the day a complete waste, I felt crappy the rest of the day. ( I did do yoga before hand , so I was happy about that) Yesterday I took the day off from exercise and was just doing all of the stuff I didn't do on Saturday, and my regular stuff, I food prepped for the week and put some DE around the plants to hopefully get rid of the earwigs. I will spray with neem oil this week since it will be rainy, I also need to rake out the beds.
I was supposed to be off work today, I took the day off so I would have a day to decompress after going to my friends party, but since we didn't go, I don't feel like I need the day off, so I came to work. I am so lame.
Okay, back to work, have a great day everyone.

This was my last night, sharing some inspo, Team :D.
But first, (((((((Alaterial !))))))) I'm sorry I don't know the situation, but it sounds like the aftermath of a major life event. The navigation of such events is deeply individualized, just let yourself feel all your feelings, sharing them is excellent coping. You'll know the right thing to do, as you travel this journey, what you already know will make itself clear to you. Allow yourself some grace and you go. Xx
Jackie, yeaaaaahhhhhh. Look at you, jammin' and rockin'. Love it! Xx
Gidget, lol loved the path you traveled this weekend. Sorry about the post-drinks regret, but love the way you rallied. Hope you have a good work day! Xx
Today is knee injections day. Left knee finishes today (3 of 3), right knee is 2nd of 3 (next week is the last one). Then it takes about 4-5 weeks after the last injection to reach peak effectiveness. Fingers crossed!

My yesterday (from a post in another group):
Hello, Happy Sunday ! Just back from PF, closed it down tonight, lol.
I had a GREAT workout! I don't think I've ever felt so good after a workout before! Everything just worked ! I've been doing lateral and forward lunges on double-stacked weights plates, b/c steps are too high (I was almost in tears at the end, and it was taking up to 10 minutes to do 20 reps each exercise, each leg…). So, the lower height was helping, but it was still heavily assisted by holding onto a window sill. WELL! Today it only took 3 mins for those exercises AND I did them unassisted for the first time! yesss ….
THEN, on the abductor machine, I only just moved up to 60 lbs from 40 lbs in June. Well, the person before me had it set to 70 lbs, and I didn't realize it at first, but once I did, I just continued away. Got those 2 sets of 15 reps done, baybee!
And then, after that!, I got on the indoor bike. I wasn't even sure I was going to do a cardio sesh, too, but I did. Got 5.02 miles in 24:02 mins! Best time yet!
Yesssss. It all just worked! and I feel great!!

@Alatariel75 my thoughts are with you. And I agree that you shouldn't make any rash decisions while feeling this way. I can't imagine the loss and pain you are going through. I'm glad you booked a yoga class!
2 -
Today wasn't the best day for me food wise...but tomorrow is another day. I did get to the gym and some weight lifting though!
I did work on a puzzle the past few days. We had a tropical depression come through yesterday. Luckily we just got a little rain. 30 minutes east of me was a different story 🫤 Lots of flooding, downed trees.
3 -
Busy day at work so I am feeling pretty wiped tonight and not up to much. It's hot here so I have to wait until quite late to walk my dog which tends to limit my steps as I'm just wanting to wind down by then! But, we did make the best of it last night with a nice park walk to end our day.
7/6 steps to start week 2:
9076
@Alatariel75 I second some of the comments already, sounds like you're going through something difficult, glad you stopped by to share
@lauren_989 that puzzle is soothing looking, must have been fun to work on
@micki48 your grandchildren bring so much joy!
Oh drats, just got the dreaded reminder my period is around the corner… why does it feel like it's just done and then it's back?
Few more steppers to report, I'll be posting week 1 stats soon!

Hugs to you @Alatariel75. You loss is so new still. Feel all those feelings. You are smart to hold off any big decisions. Your idea of a storage unit is a good one.
@jguldi11 Congrats on hitting that 10 pound milestone. You rock. 🤘🏼
Logged today. Pilates ✅ Water okishNo walk. It was tropically depressive or oppressive. Not much time outside.

PW 264.9 lbs
CW 264.4 lbs
I completed a strength training video yesterday and I'm noticing some soreness today, so it must have done something! I also took the kids for a walk today, the weather was in the 70s so it was much more comfortable.
Food choices went pretty well, stayed under my calorie goal. I have dinners planned for the week which always helps with staying focused. I did a grocery pick up order though and just realized they didn't give me one of the items I ordered, so I'll either have to make a separate trip to the grocery store or change the dinner planned that day. Oh well, 1st world problems lol.
@Gidgitgoescrzy wow I'm glad your son is OK, it must have been scary when his apt caught on fire! Earwigs are so gross, we have them here too :(
@lauren_989 beautiful puzzle! That takes a lot of patience and skill!
@mkksemail so much inspiration and positivity in your post, thank you for your motivating and thoughtful words!
@Alatariel75 It seems like you're going through a troubling time. I hope you have support to help you get through. I'm proud of you for having such great insight and knowing not to make emotional decisions right now. Yoga sounds like a great idea.
@babyw8gone I love your positive outlook!
