Sara goes back to work today…and summer vacation comes to an end…we'll get Collin this morning and trade boys this afternoon so Ronan can play with Grandpa. That will be the plan until Ronan goes back to school — 3rd Grade — Aug 6th. Then it's supposed to depend on how many clients SIL still has as to when we get Collin. It's gonna make me crazy. Oh, well.
Must prepare…drink coffee…read dumb news on my phone.

Kathy so glad you pushed out of your comfort zone. 8 pounds, way to go. So glad you're able to spend time with your nieces. Children keep you young. Beautiful girls. And wonderful to think of their brothers.

Been hitting the gym lots. Yoga on off days to recharge.
Rocky had surgery on his hand yesterday. So I got to mow the lawn. 😠 He is recovering nicely.
Yoga tomorrow. Then taking a 40 pound bucket of salt to the vet clinic. Also some mollies to add to their tank. Hope they do well.

I graduated to 15s Wednesday!! Just doing curls…3X10…I think that's what they are called…I do elastic rope exercises, too…they get harder to pull and push. My trainer has increased everything…my weekends can be sore sometimes!! Well, gotta get ready for our day. Collin will be here at 8:00.

Chris I am in pain now from Thursdays workout. Our YMCA needs more handweights for women. I pushed myself with larger weights. There were not enough smaller ones. Side raises were okay when doing 10 rep sets. But then she had us do 25! reps. That was pushing it. Rows with 25 lbs are ok also. I would like to remember what she had us do. I would add it on off days. I took some photos yesterday.

Shelley, Rosy Rhino is beautiful…Rocky's hand is not!! Glad he's doing better.
I managed 5.14 miles in 113 mins to Laurel Park and home. That's where the rocky road used to be. They are building a lot of houses there. I did trudge coming home.
Sara and Pete asked if we'd watch the boys while they went to dinner. We said yes to early afternoon. It was only a couple of hours but man!! I'm exhausted!

I dug up some plants I no longer wanted. Then weededand dug up snapdragons for another hour.

It’s been a tough week. I’ve been in so much pain in my neck back and shoulders. Pain where I couldn’t sleep or hardly lay down. I have a doctors appointment when I get back from Destin but the pain got so bad that I called my doctor’s office Saturday morning and was able to get in on a cancellation.
They took x-rays and it appears the Spinal Stenosis that was diagnosed 3 years ago has gotten worse and the weight training has aggravated it. They are sending me to a specialist to have a MRI and talk about treatment. In the meantime they gave me two steroid shots in my bottom to help with the pain and a prescription for muscle relaxers and an even stronger pain pill. The relief was almost immediate.
Thankfully, I don’t have to cancel my trip. just absolutely no lifting just stretching and low impact cardio until my consultation with the orthopedic doctor. I feel better having a diagnosis but a little afraid that weight may slip back on. Strength trading has really been my go to.
Just wanted to let you ladies know why I’ve been quiet. Trying to deal with the pain and lack of sleep.

Kathy, I'm so sorry your are dealing with that. It sounds awful. I hope things work out with the MRI and the specialist and that you finally get some rest.
Shelley, Thank You! Yeah, they are a handful or two!! I didn't know you didn't like snapdragons…I taught the boys how to make them talk!!🤣

Kathy 😟 oh no. I don't know where to begin. I know I would be devastated if I couldn't lift. So can relate. But the pain would be awful. 😞 I sure hope the doctor can help. Did this pain come on suddenly? I just read that leaning forward should help relieve some of the discomfort.
Chris I love snapdragons. But if I don't thin them. Weed them. Restrict them to the borders of my beds. Why they would take over. They are prolific. Thousands of seeds fall from them every year. I try to take out the spent plants before they drop their cargo of seeds.
Working on shortening some king sized pillow cases today. We like our regular sized pillows. But king sized cases come with king sized sheets.
Barney got attacked by an unknown critter. We think it was a feral cat. He was screaming. When we got to him hw was bleeding. His ear has a hole clear through it. Scratch under the eye bleeding and his foot. Cleaned him up and started him on antibiotics. Poor guy went into our truck and refused to come out until we left the mountain.

Shelley, I love snapdragons. I have a great place to plant them and they can take over the entire house!!! I know the sheet and pillowcase issue…not fun! Poor Barney! How is he doing?
I had my trainer today for a 60 min workout. And I'm sorry I lied to you guys…I am only lifting 12 lb hand weights. I was crazy to tell you 15s 🙃 Sorry.
We had Collin this morning and Ronan is here now playing with Grandpa.

July 29 - 163.4I’m leaving for Destin today and will weigh in if I can but it will probably be August 2 when we return. Not much of an appetite so okay how I ended the month. Definitely eating less until I can get back to exercise. I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor on Monday for MRI and assessment. Have a great week ladies.

Ladies we are header to the airport for Ron’s birthday trip to Destin. My primary care prescribed pain pill and muscle relaxers. They do help. I’m going to take it easy with lots of lounging and napping. I just didn’t want to cancel the trip. I’m just happy we’re flying for 50 minutes instead of driving for 5 hours.
If I don’t have access to a scale I will weigh in when we return on Aug 2nd. Have a great week my friends!

Pat had a doc's appt this morning so we didn't have Collin. Going to see my trainer for a 60 min workout in a few mins. Ronan's coming over and that's our Wednesday!!
I am being good about my eating. Down 3 lbs. 12 lbs to go! Patience Chris…🤣

Chris I can't believe you told a little white lie! 🤪 12 pounds is great. I should get someone to take a photo of me bench pressing. That would be fun.
Barney seems to have recovered. Thank goodness. We had a hail storm on the mountain today. It scared the pups. Lasted at least 15 minutes.
