Yesterday I decided to do a workout video to get more steps for the step challenge, and then when I was going to log my steps I realized I was so close to reaching others' step counts so I decided to march around the house to bump up my step count 😁

My sleep has not been great, I haven't figured out why yet but I need it to improve soon. I've been waking up much earlier than I need to and unable to fall back asleep. Ugh. I have work today and it's a real challenge staying focused and present for 8 hours when I'm tired.

Last night for dinner I made hibachi steak, veggies and rice with homemade yum yum sauce, it was so delicious and probably healthier (and cheaper!) than a restaurant.

@jguldi11 it's funny you mention sleep because when you ask me about NSV one of the things I've noticed this past week is that I've been sleeping better!

@conleywoods welcome back! 20 lbs down since May is awesome! You have found your groove it seems

I did slip up a bit with eating last night as I had a bit of frustration and I took it out on some pizza. I did stop before the damage was too bad and my weight is down today from where it was. Never any point in dwelling on what's happened except to learn from it and move forward!

Hi everyone! Like @Gidgitgoescrzy I have been absent for a bit. Had my bf here and had some things to take care of but glad to check in.

Great weigh ins, logging food ⭐️, and first place! Wahoo. Races and working out, birthdays and returning friends! (Hi @conleywoods ) So glad to check in.

My week went well with my bestie because she is incredibly fit and a healthy eater. She’s run over 30 marathons. lol not sure why we are friends. Kidding, but I know for sure this person won’t be running marathons ever. We had some nice walks among the flowers, good chats and lovely food. If only I could keep it up all the time like her.

I am also raising some Monarchs. Found the eggs out on my milkweeds. They never survive out there, so I brought them in. They are now chrysalis. Should emerge next week as butterflies. Yippee!

Scared myself earlier today working out in the yard.garden. Nothing more than I normally do but the heat is epic. I started feeling real bad. My heart rate was high. Headache, sweating blah. Definitely not something advisable. I came in the cool air conditioning. Drank water. Had a pedialyte popsicle. Put ice packs on my head and took it easy. It’s been an hour and a half and I am feeling myself again. Thank god. I was a bit scared.

Havent gotten in good steps/walks this week. Hopefully a walk later. Like at sunset.

@micki48 those flowers are beautiful! And nice of you to save the monarchs. Stay safe in this heat!

@Gidgitgoescrzy my apartment looked like your sons at first 😂 Took me a little time to build up furniture. And now I have probably too much haha

@jguldi11 I have been taking extra steps, too! I don't want to let my partner down!

@conleywoods welcome back! Great job losing 20 pounds over the past 2 months!!

@Gidgitgoescrzy haha you're a good mom for making sure your son's apartment is furnished 😊 sinus headaches are awful, hoping you're feeling better!

The summer really is flying by @cleaneater80 , it doesn't help that stores around here are already carrying fall decor.

@micki48 those are beautiful photos, I love zinnias and charcuterie boards! It's very kind of you to take in the monarchs, the environment thanks you!

The day started with me in a stressed and grumpy mood and it seemed like nothing could go right. The baby woke me up extra early, both kids were not cooperating with me getting ready for work, I realized I didn't have any of my go-to weekday breakfast options in stock, the lock to the office was sticking so I was late starting my first session, I'm sure there were other things but those are what stick out. Fortunately my first client wanted to go for a walk and we made sure to practice lots of mindfulness which benefited us both. We both were in a much better mood after our walk!

I got more physical activity than usual so that was good. My food choices started off pretty well, but right before going to bed I felt really snacky and had a few more calories than I needed. I can't change it now but I can make tomorrow a better day.

Oh I was approved for life insurance but the premium was higher than expected due to me being overweight (as expected). The good news is I can have it reviewed in 2 years to try to get a better rate, so that's even more motivation to get rid of this excess weight.

Off to bed now, praying for a good night's sleep!

Week is going ok, end of the month = working overtime = messy house lol. Had a very intense workout Saturday and I think I’ve finally recovered from it, legs hurt for days. Glad to see the # go down today - want to switch my WI day to Fridays for August. Thankful for yall!

Well yesterday was not perfect, but it wasn't terrible either. This heat just makes it so hard to have motivation. It might help if I keep my house cooler, but dang it our electric prices are stupid, so I keep it at 75. Once I get the basement cleaned up, and the kid gets the rest of his stuff, I can put my exercise room back together. It stays really cool down there.

After today it should cool down a little and not be as miserable, it's kinda funny, I remember it used to be really hot all the way through August, August was always the hottest month, now it's not so much, it is cooling down much earlier in the summers, the past few years, it's no longer beach weather by Labor Day weekend.

Anyway, today I am planning to do some Pilates.

    Have a great day !

@ashleycarole86 - I keep missing your last call! Dang!

    Thursday, July 24 - 14,138 steps

    Friday, July 25 - 6,854 steps

    Saturday, July 26 - 7,482 steps

    Sunday, July 27 - 4,352 steps

    Monday, July 28 - 5,011 steps

    Tuesday, July 29 - 7,109 steps - 1 hour of CrossFit

On Sunday and Monday, I felt pretty miserable. I had no energy and ended up with a horrible headache. I still managed to work on Monday, but just barely. I'm just grateful for the steps I got considering how bad I felt!

Today was a very busy day. Work was insane, forgot about a meeting at 6pm until my calendar reminded me 15 mins prior as I was headed to the gym. Then the book club, then packing for a beach trip this weekend. I'm in bed now and hope to fall asleep very soon!

Today was okay, I had a full schedule and none of my clients wanted to go for a walk today so I was stuck sitting in my office most of the day. I did still find time for a short walk on my lunch break, and after I got home I played tag with the kids. I was hoping to get more movement in but it just didn't happen.

I did better with my eating today. I had some chocolate cravings for some reason, kind of annoying but I managed to get through it. I did notice I slept better last night after eating a bedtime snack, so I had a snack tonight to see if that also helps. Today's snack was healthier than yesterday's though.
