Mushy Peas are often put on top of meat pies here in Australia. Meat pies are supposed common lunch item at bakeries and they peel off off the crust topping, add a spoonful of mushy peas and replace the crust. I have never had them with fish and chips?

To be clearer; the Mushy Peas are served as a side dish in a little bowl of it’s own, so delicious! I often put some tarter sauce on my fork and take a forkful of mushy peas and then eat my Fish and Chips, For the Fish I always had Haddock, no Cod…sorry, but I don’t like cod!

J - Juniper Berries is the female seed cone produced by the various species of junipers. It is not a true berry but a cone with unusually fleshy and merged scales called a galbulus, which gives it a berry-like appearance. The cones from a handful of species, especially Juniperus communis, are used as a spice, particularly in European cuisine, and also give gin its distinctive flavor. Juniper berries are among the only spices derived from conifers, along with spruce buds.
