Oh, boy do I ever feel your frustration. I keep a meticulous food diary, go to the gym 5 days a week (exercise classes & weight machines), get at least 10K steps most days & am in calorie deficit every day. I have been going up & down the same two pounds for months. On a positive note π I took my measurements when I began MFP in February and have lost an inch in my waist & two inches in my stomach. I really want to get rid of 10 pounds- I want to see that number! I got rid of 50 lbs. (WW) this last 10 is a bi%ch.

I retired last December. I was an elementary teacher for 37 years & was exhausted at the end of the day, never exercised. I did follow WW and got rid of 50 lbs. Now, I get up every morning, plan out my meals for the day & then go to the gym. I take exercise classes & use weight machines. Honestly, Iβve never exercised consistently like this, I feel better & look better than I ever have. Something to look forward too π

I hate when that scale works against us. I weigh every day, know I shouldnβt π€·πΌββοΈ so I know how frustrating it can be. Have to stick with it - change (although slow at times) will happen.

Would it be possible to change my weigh in day to Sunday? Would it be better to wait until October?
About your stress eatingβ¦ Iβve been thinking π€ Do you pre plan your food for the day? I usually plan first thing in the morning or the night before. A lot of times, I deviate from the plan but for me, itβs a good base plan. Hate to say it, itβs corny (an old WW adage) - Failing to Plan is Planning to Failβ I was hours away from my mom when she was sick & realized I needed to be in shape (mentally & physically) to help when the time came.

@gillis1118 sure we can change your weigh-in to Sundays! Do you want to weigh in tomorrow, or be excused until next Sunday?
I also find myself eating better if I plan my day ahead of time. I used to do it more regularly, but have been slacking recently. I also haven't been tracking at all, which is never a good thing. I tracked yesterday and have today planned out π

Let me start tomorrow. My Fitbit is Sunday-Saturday so I thought it would be easier to track data. I think I might be a little obsessed but Iβm sure Iβm not the only one. π€£π. Planning my day definitely helps π

Hereβs my steps. I hope ur Dad is doing ok. My mum is still in hospital so I understand ur stress. The first week I ate badly too & did no exercise. Then I realised this was stressing me even more so have been making sure I get the exercise fitted in & have been eating better3 -
@virgoreader when I start working out (especially weights), I tend to gain weight for the first few weeks. As your muscles work, they retain water to help with healing. Give it time and trust the process!

Thanks, @lauren_989, I know I'm starting to feel better and the scale isn't the best way to measure progress, it's just one way. I'll be interested to see what my measurements are when I measure again.

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. We took a little trip this week, and it shows. Not being able to plan and make my own meals shows up on the scale pretty quickly!

I was sick yesterday so that helped, but I am really excited about 165 because that was my weight when I opened the myfitnesspal account. I didn't do anything with it, but that number keeps showing up on my reports.

@virgoreader Totally understand! Itβs the long haul and I know it can be so frustrating! Keep going and it will work!!
@AnnaZimm70 Still down from last week, great job! I was also up this morning and know I have been eating right, etc. I had more sodium yesterday than normal and drank a lot of water.. Itβs hot here! Haha! But, I know I am making the right steps in achieving my goal. We got it!
@jimboden3 Nice loss! I am working on sleeping more as well.
