Good morning team! I just want to thank @HorsesRock9999 for everything she has done as team motivator. Unfortunately, she has to step down from this role. Would anyone else like to step up as team motivator?

Are you fluent in any other language(s) besides English? If not, which one do you wish you could speak?

I always wanted to learn Spanish. I have tried multiple times and am doing daily lessons again. We will see how it goes!

Today was a good day at work. Got in a 20 minute walk during lunch. It's starting to get dark earlier at night here…one thing I dislike about the fall. I am sore from yesterday's workout, so didn't get too much other movement in today. About to crochet a little more!

@virgoreader you don't get tagged on the results page, partly why I like to give shout out to folks!

@gillis1118 I love your self reflection. And yes, weight lifting can stall/slow weight loss at first, but it will definitely fall off eventually! And then you will be toned and hopefully have less loose skin!

I’m getting tired of my “go to” meals so I’m going to venture & try a new recipe 🤪 Cottage cheese seems to be a super popular ingredient, if it doesn’t specify, does it matter if it’s fat free or full fat or is there not a lot of difference?

    virgoreader Posts: 39 Member

@gillis1118, they say having some fat helps you feel fuller. You could get the 2 percent cottage cheese to try.

I think sometimes we need to shake things up to get out of a plateau or rut. One time when I was doing WW, I was staying OP and not seeing a loss. One week, I was having a bad day and ate a big fast food meal for lunch the day before my weigh in. I thought for sure I would have a gain but I had one of my biggest losses!

    @virgoreader

Totally agree, I was a little “off” last week, and still got rid of weight. For me, this whole diet & exercise thing works, it’s gradual and works but not week to week. Does that make sense? Former WW too! Got rid of 54lbs - 6 to go 😁

Having the same foods helps with consistency, as you know how to make it, and how it works for you, but that does make me feel deprived. I love cooking, so I often find new things to cook. That way, something feels like a treat even when it is healthy. I made a beef and coconut milk Thai curry. I often add an extra vegetable to any dish to make it healthier, so I added cauliflower and broccoli to extend it into more meals and to lower the calories. It tastes delicious, makes me feel like I am cheating, but it completely fit within my calorie budget for the meal without having to sacrifice calories for another meal for the day.

Good day here after a rough one yesterday food wise. I definitely get tired of food after a while. Hubby asked me what I even eat anymore 😂

    Announcement!! 📣

@Megan_smartiepants1970 has still been in and out of the hospital. Please keep her in your thoughts as she focuses on her health and recovery.

In the meantime, we’re looking for someone to step in as a co-captain to help keep the team running smoothly. If you’re able to volunteer, your support would be greatly appreciated.

If no one is available to take on the role, we may need to look at redistributing this group among the other existing groups to ensure everyone continues to get the support they need.

Please reach out to me with any questions.

    Oh so close!

@lauren_989 - I certainly understand the need to break up this group if no one steps up to take the lead (I'm committed to a demanding job but could see helping out when I retire) so I just want to say thanks for stepping in to cover for Megan in the meantime as it's appreciated.
