day two of insanity cardio pylometric was a semi fail as I didnt finish since I ran out of time and had to keep stoping to help the kids with homework and I admit my endurance was not up to it and not I need to get ready for work. But I still burned more calories then the fit test last night according to my bodymedia and I hit 9 mins of vigorous activity. I will just make it up by doing it on sunday instead of taking a day of rest. Or would that be a bad idea?
trish, i am not an expert but i believe the day rest is for your own good lol maybe you can do it in the evening or when your kids are in bed unless you work nights. But unless you do this every day i don't think this one time will hurt :flowerforyou:

i need help desperately. i get so sleepy a few hours after i finish insanity that i just want to nap but i usually sleep 8-10hrs so this shouldnt be happening. anyone experienced this too??0

Haha... I'm tired all day unless I drink 5 hour energy so I'm probably no help with this question. Hmm, maybe you should eat something right after you are done to replenish your body. I have found that if I don't eat constantly, I'm more exhausted. Sorry I'm not much help, I hope you find your answers.0

Ok... Now I need help... I did cardio recovery yesterday and I'm a million times more sore than with any of the other workouts!! I can't feel my body and I don't know how I am going to finish out the last 2 workout days this week. I haven't bought the results and recovery formula yet... Should I? Or is there something else that I should be trying!?0

no ma'am this is about right, i think its because we do more deep training and the movements are slower and intense because you go slow vs fast.
With the sleeping issue i had this as well when i 1st started but you will get used to it. Don't eat right after the training wait 30 - 45 minutes so they say and make sure you drink enough before-while-after workout. I hate to keep saying it but i do way better since i drink the protein shake maybe you should look into it.0 -
Which protein shake??? I just got the shakeology in the mail yesterday but have yet to try it... I might try it later tonight. I suck at eating often only because I'm never really too hungry all the time0

This is what i been using, but compare prize online andin store I got mine at GMC store and it was $29 while some websides post it for almost $100. I am picky when it comes to stuff like this but its really good, comes in chocolate/strawberry creme/vanilla.

i just got my Twinlab protein powder in the mail yesterday, hopefully it helps with my fatigue.
i just found a new "hate". and its cardio recovery, imo its much more difficult than the other workouts as for now. and my back hurts while holding onto the squat and lunge position0 -
Day 17 tomorrow @ 5:45AM :-)....I'm armed with my HRM now. Today was really tough (Plyometric Cardio). I will say i was pretty amazed at the progress in second the FIT test.

Hey hope everyone had a good weekend
Well I start today over, a friend of mine wants to join the insanity of us :laugh: and I don't want to put her right into the recovery week or should I rather do this than starting from the beginning, what do you guys think?
Oh and I'm gonna try tonight to place some pics from 4 weeks ago and as of today as tiny succsess story from my side.
Glad you all are such a great support here wish I would have had last time known anout this here, who knows maybe I wouldn't have been lazy and doing nothing for 6 month straight :flowerforyou: thanks everyone.0 -

Just finished cardio power of week 3 day 5! I'd say my power jumps are getting better Yayyy!!
Doing insanity burns so much calories that I find it hard to sometimes net my bmr let alone eating all of my exercise calories.
@sren4th I think you should see what's the fitness level of your friend, if she's already fit then why not. But if she isn't too fit she might be too overwhelmed by the the workouts in month 2 which comes after the recovery week. I've watched the mth2 workouts, they look INSANE. Maybe have her try a few of the month 1 workouts to see how well can she cope.0 -
Hi guys!!! I had a nice weekend, yesterday's day off was exactly what I needed. I have been forcing mysellf to eat more because burning so many calories and not upping my intake has really taken a toll on my body, I have felt like a zombie with migraines for about 5 days now. But today I'm ready to get back into it!! Week 3 here I come!! Fit test today, we will see how far I've come! Wish me luck!0

I did this with Hubby and dropped a bunch of weight but didn't tone up at all, so Im going to start over and hope this time I can tone. Its a hard work out but so worth it in the end0

Ughhhh, my muscles are soooo sore and the workouts are so much harder to do with a screaming baby... He is working on popping his second tooth and won't sleep for the life of me!!0

I survived but heck i gonna be sore tomorrow morning ;0) got to admit I took more than 30sec break they give you and needed for Max interval Circuit & fit test 100 minutes and only burned 556 calories, so not looking forward to tomorrows workout

I've been eating protein bars and have noticed a huge improvement...feel better, less sleepy. But, on the cardio recovery days I miss the energy that comes from getting my BPM up.0 -
I will be starting this Sat. Shaun T is coming to town and I will be working out with him and prob a few hundred people. I'm hoping that this will give me the motivation to continue with Insanity.0

Hey Everyone! I'm new to the group and last night I completed Day 58 of Insanity! I'm so close to the end and I need encouragement to finish! I must say that knowing there's only 5 days left is already motivating but I also wanted to find a place where people are supporting each other with this. I've seen great improvements in my body, strength and stamina during this process. No weight loss but I've lost some inches and definitely toned my body.

Im excited I have reached my goal wieght!! Now I have to try and stay where im at!! I keep telling myself its okay you can treat yourself now, but I know if im not careful I'll be right back to where I was before0

Congrats on reaching your goal weight LDeFran!! Personally I was a bit frustrated with the fact that the scale is not showing my results the way the mirror is. I used to weigh myself once a week but since the second week into Insanity I decided that the scale didn't matter. I know I look better and feel better and I KNOW that the same area of muscle weighs more than the same area of fat!
