    :bigsmile: today is the day I taught the line dance class in the afternoon as well as going to my regular class in the morning.

    I still did my usual lunges, walked the dogs, and took a walk with a friend in the evening.

    100 lunges done today. :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

    I forgot to mention that I also have been doing lunges along with my squats. Clover5, Leslie is awesome. I actually used to walk with her when I was in high school. What's so great about the 5 Really Big Mes is that she also includes 2 strengthening miles. Since it is almost always hot where I live her videos help me so I won't practicay die trying to do exercises outside. Yes, I am still planning on geting the gym pass at my school first for the summer to see how it goes. If I like it then I will buy an annual one.

    Also, I went for a 45 minute bike ride after supper. The evening sky was overcast and very pleasant out. Barbie, that's great.

    :bigsmile: congrats to us on our continued success and focus on this challenge.

    My day of lunges starts in the evening so I don't have to post just before bedtime......so I counted the 40 lunges I did while brushing and flossing my teeth, and the 60 lunges I did while walking my dogs one at a time early in the morning, and the 40 lunges I dud with a 15 pound dumbbell in each hand during my weight training session this afternoon.

    And a 35 minute run. I have a 5k on May 20th to train for. Don't remember if I told you that before.

    The nice thing about this squat challenge is that if I forget or just have a sedentary day, I can still squeeze them in before going to bed. I did 80 before bed last night. At least when I go to bed, I feel like I got one challenge done.

    Ready for the weekend? I need to make extra effort to stay in calorie budget this weekend. Last weekend I went over and have spent the whole week getting back to where I was.

    this afternoon I taught a beginning line dance class.....the teacher will be back next week and I am grateful for that :bigsmile:

    I spent about 2 hours gardening in the back yard yesterday, mostly weeding and spring clean up. I usually plant some zuchinni in the vegetable garden because you can't fail with them and it makes me happy to grow something and eat it. I have more trouble with tomatoes. I might try some in a pot this year.

    Barbie, you're going to need a vacation when the regular teacher returns.

    :bigsmile: MuffRuff, I was 30 years old when I bought my first house.....until then I lived in college dorms and apartments.....I still remember how excited I was to plant something and watch it grow

    :bigsmile: today all the exercise, early mornings, and line dance classes, caught up with me and I took a two hour nap after lunch. Hubby and all three pets napped with me.....what a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

    :bigsmile: 140 lunges today----30 of them with a 15 pound dumbbell in each hand as part of my weight training.

    :bigsmile: clover, the regular line dance teacher met me after class on Friday to get her equipment...I'll be going to her class on Wednesday as a student and then she's going to take me out to lunch to as a thank you, then on Friday she and I and one or two others are going to demonstrate some dances as part of an open house event at the Senior Center where the classes are held.so it will be a big line dance week but at least I won't be in the front of the room except on Thursday when I'm teaching one new dance........I love zucchini but haven't grown it for years and always welcome it when gardening friends give me some.

    25 - 4/28 - 80 -- Oops! I meant to do the last 20 when I was brushing my teeth, but spaced it. I have a couple extra 20's above though, so I'll just make sure I get today's done.

    I did the Abs for Dummies DVD workout after the soccer game, and took the dog and my husband for a walk in the evening.

    MuffRuff, I have every confidence that you will one day own your own house. I took title of my first house as "an unmarried woman" when I was 33, an accomplishment I am still proud of. In the meantime, if you have a window sill and a flower pot or two, you can plant something now. Why wait?

    Barbie, I used to like to dance. My husband isn't a dancer though. I have a couple of dance exercise DVDs. I should probably get one out one of these days.

    :bigsmile: Clover, my husband doesn't dance.....we have a deal, I don't make him dance and he doesn't make me play golf :laugh: one of the things II like about line dance is that you don't need a partner.

    :flowerforyou: this is a rest day for me so I did my 100 lunges and logged 17.000 steps walking dogs but did no other exercise and took it easy most of the day.

    this is another rest day for me so all I did was my lunges and dog walking (yes they are spoiled dogs :laugh: I walked over 20,000 steps today :bigsmile: )
