Hi everyone! I just finished the first week of C25K... loving it so far! What a cool app... even managed to run outside one night! I think I ate some bugs along the way. Should I log them as a snack? LOL....

As I told my co-worker, its good to sweat... that way no one sees you cry... :)

Hello, my name is Marie-Josée. I just started again I the C25k today. I did some last fall but stop in the winter because of the snow. How do you enter your run in MFP? I can't find it in the entries.

I finished W2D3 on Wednesday. Yesterday I was feeling restless and I missed my usual kickboxing class, so I did a "preview" of W3D1 (I didn't log it officially but I did the run). Running for 3 minutes was not terribly easy for me but I got through it :) Man I can't believe I'm going to have to run for TWENTY in two weeks....

Hi all - just restarted today. Planning my first 5k on Labor Day! I posted this in the main forum, but am actually training 90% of the time on an elliptical (to save my knees). Anxious to find out if anyone else has done this and has any advice.

    Sus

Hi everyone! Started week 2 yesterday! You can follow my journey under the topic " Virginie's progress ..." in this group. I've never been able to run and now I push myself and see that it's doable, I really like the program and enjoy running in the summer weather!

I'm new too! Today is day 1! I haven't done my first C25K run yet, but I'm excited! I've tried it before and it worked really well, but I let myself stop and get back to being unhealthy. So, here we go again! Cheers to staying motivated and getting fit!

Hi - I am new on this board and pretty excited! Tomorrow is day3 of week 4 and I am nervous/curious about week 5. I've got two little kids (3 yrs and 20months) and I am doing this so my kids grow up with running as a part of thier lifestyle. My goal is a 5k by September in 30 minutes! But....maybe not....

I have not yet started the program but am planning to next week. I have been on MFP since February and have lost 30 IBS so far. I have been reading about many people on here who have done this and would like to add some friends who will support and motivate me!!

I'm on week 5 day two and thinking about day 3, lol! This is about my 3rd week using fitness pal and I love it. Using fitness pal and C25k is working great!!! If anyone wants to add me, please do! I started at about 325lbs at the end of March and I'm down to 301 as of today. I lost 7lbs just this past week alone! I have about 80lbs to go!!!

Hey there! I'm brand new to this board and I haven't ran since college days(15+ years).
I'm excited to commit myself to C25K. I think i'm going to ease into it with a combination of brisk walking
and using an elliptical. I've come across Podrunner Intervals, on iTunes, and i'm looking forward to using that as
part of my motivation. Thanks for letting me join you in this!!! :drinker:

Hi, I'm new to this and hearing of it. I did last summer run 2 miles in 1/2 mile increments (walk 1/2 a mile, jog 1/2 a mile). I started with 1/2 mile, worked up to a mile, then 2 and I would walk 3 miles. But the weather (Seattle area) took over and has been cruddy for a very very long time.

So I'm doing it again. This week twice I have jogged 1 mile, in 1/2 mile increments, (walk 1/2 mile, jog 1/2 a mile). I plan on keep going for the next few months until I'm up to 3 miles without stopping.

Is jogging considered running, what's the difference?

Most runners don't like to distinguish between jogging (which would normally be considered just a slow run - Like less than 6mph) and running. It's all running.

You're going to do great :)

Hi! I am so glad I found this group today yay!
My massage therapist who tried the Couch 2 5K before, told me about it 2 weeks ago.
I started my first week just last week and am enjoying the program.
I thought I would be able to train for a 1/2 marathon that is coming up but as it turns out
I will not have the proper 12 weeks to prepare so I will sign on for the 5K instead.
I really have no desire to become a full marathon runner and am not sure if I want to stress
my body to do the half either. I suppose that time will tell as I move forward with this group
and my training program. I have downloaded all of the free podcasts titled
"Chubby Jones C25K" and am switching out on off days with X-training.

What types of workouts do you guys do when you are taking a break from running? I like my
elliptical workouts, weight training, swimming, hiking and walking the beach here in SoCal.

Thanks for sharing your stories here and thanks for checking me out too:drinker:
Here's to a great Summer of health and good fun!!!

Off days are beach volleyball (league play on Thursday nights), swimming (and hopefully alot more swimming now that its warming up properly), walking and some stretching and additional strength training targeted at making my knees more stable. (I do lifting on training days, but only about 20 minutes worth)

    Hi there,

My Name is Nicola, I'm 36 and live in Lanzarote.

I started yesterday and enjoyed it BUT has anyone
else who's just started found any 'tummy problems'
    the next day?

(I really enjoyed it but wondering if this is something
that happens initially or something I need to watch
    out for)

    Thanks
    Nicola x
