Habit a month: 30 days to form healthy new habits
I have read that it takes 30 days to make a behavior a habit. I have found that I typically give up, or say something like "it's okay to skip it just this one time", way before that 30 day mark. This group is intended as motivation, accountability and support in forming healthy new habits. The first of every month I will post a new habit to work on for that month. Join for the ones you want. Ignore the ones you don't. I will also post alternate habits so, hopefully, each month everyone can work on something. Please, only choose one of the options, not both! Studies have shown that one habit per month is what sticks long term and taking on too much results in not retaining any of it! You can always come back on a future month, when you don't like either of the offered options, to complete the second option. Offer suggestions below under the "suggestion" tab. Keep in mind, these will be focused on general health and wellness, not necessarily just diet and fitness.
