Exercise for Mental Health benefits

All members welcome whether you have a severe mental illness or running just makes you feel better.

I have significant anxiety, bipolar, and PTSD. I am trying to get to the gym 5x per week for light to moderate exercise to control anxiety. So far I have seen some benefits but some days are harder than others.

Today I started C25k and I am hoping that I might become a runner as there is some research that it's a very good adjunct therapy for mental illness. Of course I still do all the traditional things too, like take medicine and see a therapist.

I hope there are others out there like me who are trying to establish good mental health habits.
