I'm slowly figuring this out. Seems as though a new subject line creates a new "discussion." To reply you must click on the "Title" of the post. If we want to have an ongoing "discussion" like our old feeds, we just reply to the posts under the Daily Discussion subject line. I'll try it out now.
I'm going to try to check in to this group every day. I know it's not something that's top of mind, but I find it really sad that friends I've known for many, many years will just be lost after MFP threw away our feeds. Please feel free to post whatever big, little, important or mundane thing that's on your mind.
