So. You've read the book, and maybe you've thought about applying some or all of them. Thoughts? Are they all great and do-able, or are there some you're unsure of? The no carbs after lunch sounded like heresy. How could a normal person, especially someone who cooks for a family, do that? But two days in, I've loved it. My…
I'm starting a new topic to hopefully get a new discussion going. Does anyone know of another support forum for people on the Skinny Rules diet? I can't find support from Bob anywhere on Google searches. I'm not on Twitter or Facebook, but it doesn't look like questions are answered there anyway. First, I'd like to know…
Hey there, I'm Sarah. I'm half way through the book so haven't got through all the rules but I've been slowly switching over as I read more. I wanted to start making a big push on it this week and really get going on it. So my big question is how do you get in that much fibre? I've been eating mainly a high protein and low…
I find these myFitnessPal groups really hard to follow. Would anyone else be interested in a support group on facebook? I'm always on there and posts are much more visible. If anyone else wants to give it a shot I opened one at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/theskinnyrules/
Help! I live in a small town and I cannot find a brand that meets Bob's requirements. When you eat toast, what is your go to bread choice?
Hi there, Thought we can support each other into trying new foods. I just tried Hummus and thought I would hate it. Turns out that I really like it. It's rich enough that I can't go overboard with it. Hits the spot. YAY! Anyone else try anything new lately?
Just started. I love corn torillas and tortilla chips. I make sure to purchase the healthy ones that are made out of stone ground corn, not corn meal. Although I haven't finished the book, I haven't found anything helpful that discusses stone ground corn. Any input would be appreciated!
I will let you know tomorrow morning if I survived rule 18 :-)
The rule that's hardest for me is allowing a splurge day. I do better when I cut out treats altogether—at least for a week or two, until I binge horrifically. Anyway. How is allowing just one cheat treat or meal a week working for you guys? Help me out! I love the idea of enjoying in moderation, but it's just been hard for…
Rule #7: No Carbs After Lunch confuses me. Why does the book suggest that an apple can be part of your mid-afternoon lunch, if you aren't supposed to have carbs after lunch? Maybe because it's high in fiber? Thoughts.
