68lbs as of today, losing about 2lbs/week since the end of August. Only break in that is when I switched to maintenance for a couple weeks prior to running my first half-marathon last month. Started out at 1470 calories/day (net), and now I'm at 1200. I log everything like it's my job, and make sure I'm active. You can't…

Everything has calories. Therefore, everything gets counted. There is no such thing as a freebie or "negative calories." Plus, some fruits and vegetables contain a startling amount of sugar, so you want that counted as well.

Lots of good ideas over at http://www.budgetbytes.com. Some healthy, some not so much. But seems like a good place to start.

If you can commit the time involved, there's no reason not to try it. But it IS a commitment, and there will be more misery involved than you may think. I started C25K back in August, finished that, and then moved to 10K on my own. As soon as 2015 rolled around, I started on a training program for my first half-marathon.…

I use RunKeeper, and I normally eat back the calories I burn during a workout. So far it's been working just fine and I've been losing right at 2lbs/week. Just checked the calculator on Runner's World and it's spot on with what RK told me I burned today. A thought on adapting to training: Yes, that's going to affect your…

I'm your height, although I've got a few years on you (I'm 32). -Run 3x/week (6km now, pushing that to 7km next week) -Eat at least 1200 calories/day -Stay below my net goal, which is 1310 right now. Today I ate 1691, but I earned 544 from my run this morning, so 1147 net. I started MFP and C25K at the end of August and…

1370 at the moment, trying to lose 2lbs/week. So far, so good.

I use RunKeeper, and just manually entered the schedule as a new one-off training plan for each week. But then again I tend to do things the roundabout way sometimes...

When I first started, I felt the same way. The hardest thing for me to get into my head is "if you can't breathe, you're going too fast." Before I ever started using C25K, I went for a brisk 1.5 mile walk 3 times a week. After a week or so of that, I upped it to every day. Once that was comfortable, I did the same pattern…
