This week was my first week of work at my first real "big girl" job since college. I absolutely LOVE it and my co-workers seem really nice. My boss is extremely chill, even went to lunch with him and my co-workers at a pizza place on Thursday. Very excited about many more great weeks to come!

I started my first "big girl" job today since graduating college in May last year (with a BS in Biochemistry)! I brought my lunch (which was super healthy - boneless, skinless chicken and spinach), but I ended up having 2 slices of pizza, fries, and a breadstick with my boss and another co-worker. :D

That's so sad! Hopefully the patient is okay. I actually applied to be a scribe in an children's ER here in Fort Worth. Hoping it works out! How do you like it?

So in May 2014, I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. After looking for over a year, I finally landed an incredible new job on Tuesday with a well-known medical company specializing in eye care (won't say the name of the company). I'll get to do a bunch of chemistry lab testing (which is very…

So after my sweet dog passed away on August 1, my mom and I (mainly my mom) decided to have her cremated. We were able to have her paw print made so we would always have that with us, as well. We got her ashes a week after she passed, but we just picked up her paw print that was made, and I almost started bawling my eyes…

A guy that I met over July 4 weekend who is old enough to be my father is really interested in me and I have no idea what to do. :| :o *EDIT* I happened to "go all the way" with a neighbor in my apartment complex about a month ago and now I deeply regret it :( I've only known him for just over 2 months. We talked for 3 or…

My highest weight was 200 or higher, and I got down to 122. My mom treats me so differently now that I'm in the 120s as opposed to when I was around 200. I stay in the lower 120s and refuse to let myself to get above 125 because I never want to hear my mom *kitten* and complain at me about my weight.
-
I weigh more than my mom (not by very much), but last night we were both in the bathroom when I looked in the mirror and she looked bigger than me, which is a first in my whole life. Deep down I actually loved feeling thinner than her.

I seriously hope you don't follow the food babe because she is nothing but a pseudoscience money making quack.

Confession: I went out drinking last night and got so drunk I kissed a man (that I know) who is old enough to be my dad. More than once.

I took celexa as well for 3 years and I went from 160 to 200! Once I lost weight I was able to get off it.

I got fat because I ate way too much fast food and never enough at home growing up. I ran cross country in high school for a year and did gymnastics for both my high school (also for a year) and outside of school for 8 years. My weight was normal while doing those. Junior year of high school rolled around and I quit all…

Thank you @JessiBelleW and @gilliebee63. I will always have some amount of resentment towards her for treating me that way. She said she only did that because she "was worried about my health" (to use her words), but a big part of me doesn't buy it. Back in May 2012 while recovering from my breast reduction surgery, she…

1. The summer before my junior year of high school (July 2007), I was getting ready for a job interview for a gymnastics coach position, and my mom made a comment to me about what I was wearing and how they wouldn't hire me because it made me look big and that I didn't look like I had ever done any gymnastics (which I did…

2 interesting things about me (I couldn't decide which was more interesting): 1. I'm a national champion gymnast. 2. I won a lawsuit when I was 19 while in college earning my BS in biochem.

Both carbs and sodium do it for me. For every gram of glycogen eaten/stored, 3 grams of water are stored with it.

It's water weight, trust me. I've been there before. Just drink more water, get back on track with your exercise and eating habits and it'll go away soon!

Update on my loss of appetite and amenorrhea for anyone who remembers me talking about this before. I just received a copy of my blood test results where my DHEA, progesterone, estrogen (estradiol, estrone, and total estrogens), insulin, and TSH levels were tested. When I talked to my doctor's medical assistant a few days…

I am so glad I am not the only one who thinks that. I moved into an apartment and they only have a Smith machine. UGH

I have a 1 L bottle that never leaves my side and carry around with my EVERYWHERE.

@lilaclovebird Amen on the Texas heat. I'm in Arlington and it hit 108 today. I lived in Lubbock for 5 years during college and the hottest I remember it ever getting was 114 in June 2011. Ice cream has always been my vice. Today is my mom's birthday and I already know she will want to eat nothing but crap and expect me to…

@nonoelmo The family doc I saw last week suggested I cut back on the water with hopes that that would make me have an appetite again. I'm trying to but it's easier said than done, especially on days I exercise and sweat. I also live in Texas and it's been over 100 degrees every day for the past week or more.

I do like eggs, but I stopped since they made me super bloated :/. One protein powder that I like is the vegan Garden of Life raw protein powder, chocolate version. Have you ever tried that? I went through a vegan phase 2 years ago and really enjoyed that one. No allergies, but there are some foods that I don't eat since…

Yeah I can eat nuts! I like almonds the best. I also really like plain non-fat Greek yogurt.

I think it's less of a fear of eating more and more of not hungry enough to want to eat more. I'm not denying any fear of increasing calories, though. I don't fear processed foods, I just know they have no nutritional value. Ever since I gave them up and started eating real food, my cravings for the processed foods I was…

I don't eat dairy products since they make me break out. Eating more is so much easier said than done. I eat 8 oz of meat every day (4 oz chicken and 4 oz extra lean ground turkey) and plenty of veggies of mainly leafy greens.
