I am 47 5'5" and have been maintaining at 133 to 135lbs for 5 months after losing 42 lbs in 6 months. I work out for an hour 6 days a week (treadmill, weights) and eat 1500 to 1600 a day. I can't have more calories than that, or I gain. Feel fit and happy! :)

I started maintenance over a month ago, after losing my goal weight of 40 lbs. It is a lifestyle, and I love it. I maintain at 1500 calories, and workout 6 days a week. Love lifting weights. People actually think I weigh less than I do-- It is strange to wear a size 4 and weigh 133 lbs. (I'm 5'5" tall), but that's where I…

I am the same! I lost 40 lbs, as well, and someone today actually said to me, "Nice guns!" LOL!!! I love it...

Just take it day by day. What worked for me (personally) was deciding to let go of: Fast food, soft drinks, pasta, rice and bread. It has taken 9 months, and I am at my goal weight. It is a lifestyle, now, so even though I thought I'd start eating breads and pasta again, I really don't want to - which is unbelievable! I…

It will be SO worth it! Just take it day by day...

Every day except Sunday. :) I like to stay within a 3+ or - range.

Nine months ago (September 1st to June 1st) I began this lifestyle change. I've worked out 6 days a week (that's 250 hours) and maintained a 1,200 to 1,500 calorie diet. I've chipped away at this every day. As a result, I've lost my goal of 40 lbs and have toned my muscles. As I approach my 47th birthday Wednesday, I'm…

Just take it one day at a time. Sometimes it's one minute at a time! You can do it.

Hey- it took about 7 months- and it is soooo worth it!!!

September 1, 2014 weighed 173 lbs. May 1 2015 hit goal weight of 133 lbs. I am 5'5" and 46 years old. Feeling great!!! Eating healthy every day and hitting the gym 6 days a week works. :) won't let me post my pix for some reason... :(

I am experiencing a plateau, myself. I lost 42 lbs, and now they are creeping back, even though I have not changed anything.... I am much more toned, so it could just be muscle gain. I really want to be 130 lbs (I am 46, 5'5")
-
I am 5'5 and weigh 135. I'm 46 years old, and work out to keep tone. I'd like to get to 130. I've lost 38 lbs in 7 months. Whatever makes you comfortable is where you should be. Don't listen to other people- go by how YOU feel and how your clothes feel.

I am experiencing this, too- I got to my goal weight of 133 lbs (40 lbs lost in 8 months), and now I see the scale creeping up- I work out 6 days a week - cardio and weights- I am fit and strong, and I am maintaining my 1200 to 1500 calorie diet. I have been told it is due to the weights... I am fluctuating 133 to 138. I…

8 months ago. I'm at my goal weight, and can't imagine not exercising. I go every morning from 5:30-6:45am except Sundays. I eat 1200 to 1500 cal.

I keep frozen chicken tenderloins in the freezer- thaw a couple while getting ready for work in the morning, put in toaster oven for a bit, then put in a baggie. Take a zucchini squash and some onion, chop them up and put them in a container, to put in the microwave at work for 2 minutes. Bring some sliced watermelon for a…

This is amazing- I can't thank you enough for this post! I am struggling with depression quietly- everyone thinks I'm fine, but I'm not. It is a struggle every single day, but I smile through it, even though I am dying on the inside. 8 months ago, I decided to begin a healthy lifestyle in the hopes that this would go away-…

I usually do it in 35 on the treadmill- so I was shocked to see the clock as I approached- and I stepped onto the finish line mat at exactly 29 minutes.

I am running my first 5K May 2 after a recent 41lb weight loss; feeling good, and looking forward to it. Thank you for the advice- it is a treasure.

I am 46 and decided on September 1st I wanted to lose 40 lbs and wear a bikini for my 47th birthday (June 3)- happy to say I have surpassed my goal early and feel great! The key for me was no sodas, drive thrus, pasta, bread or rice. I am going to run my first 5K May 2nd. Never thought I'd say that! Treadmill and weights…

I was frozen I. After 7 months, I finally saw that magic number appear... My heart was pounding so hard. Now I am in maintenance, and doing well- still working out 6 days a week and eating 1200 to 1600 calories a day. I feel proud to that I did it on my own, and stayed the course. Won't ever go back. :)

I reached my goal last month- lost 40 lbs since September and now into maintenance. Thinking of taking off 5 more- but it's great to not have to be so stressed about it, and just enjoying the weight loss. :) Keep eating healthy and exercising- you will notice you are even more fit and toned as a result! Enjoy this…
