  • Thanks for tenge advice ladies and gents! Being keto for a year simple is beginning to get super boring! Burgers have been my staple. What happens when you're burned out on basic? What are your staple seasoning? My mom raised us on salt, pepper and garlic. I've ventured out to make my own jerk, berbere and curry. If food…
  • Processed meats are okay in moderation On keto. I'm really referring to the Atkins snack foods, meals and other such foods. On keto I hear that the only fiber that should be subtracted is that of green veggies. All other fibers may need to be counted because they actually CAN be used by the body. I can agree that brands…
  • Feel free to add me too! Looking to get my body to 18-20%bf, which is about 10-12 more lbs of body fat that need to be burned off add me if you'd like! I've been keto for almost a year and revisiting psmf for a second round.
  • Low carb is awesome I've been doing it for about 2 months and have had amazing results.
  • I've been doing Keto for 2 months and I love it! i dont really cook anything different for my family I just usually sub in ingredients ie almond flour for regular flour or xylitol for sugar. I still give my kids grain and fruit as I feel that they need it.
  • what happened when you reintroduced carbs? I'm curious to know because that was my plan-staying under 100g once I reached my maintenance weight
  • add me if you like, my diary is open and I don't mind commenting on posts. I track literally everything and when I don't have anything in my diary, thats usually a fasting day.
  • I have trouble reaching my minimum calorie requirement most days so the calorie deficit is not an issue. statically I am not overweight, I'm just trying to lower my bmi and get lean I think my body just found a comfortable weight and is reluctant to let anymore go. I understand the logic, but my family has a history of…
  • I eat plain Greek yogurt with cinnamon and 1/2 scoop of unflavored protein for a total of 46g/protein-my go to breakfast (since I ditched steel cut oats) which ties me over until ~10am snack. Is the coconut yogurt high in fat? Its my other arch enemy, especially saturated fat.
  • Great point! Personally I don't/can't intake much food so whatever I eat needs to be protein packed just so I can keep some muscle mass. Particularly plant based foods are high in fiber which is horrible for my digestion because of slow transit issues, so I try to stay within 25g/ fiber, or I risk excruciating evacuation.…
  • https://www.fitbit.com/user/332GCW I have a charge, but my Alta will be here on MONDAY!
  • That makes sense, since carbs hold onto water. I don't plan on going any higher than 150g/carbs per day, unless its cross train day. Water weight is so deceiving
  • As a carb lover it is the only thing I could cut out, I still get some carb g's from vegetables, and mostly non fat dairy but I've steered clear of bread, and all grain. I like to think that my body will finally let go of the fat being stored due to my carb intake.
  • using a scale is the only way I eat most days. my scale weighs in grams so thats a huge plus...especially when it comes to leafy greens and veggies that don't really fit into a cup. Happy weighing
  • Have you tried adding things to your protein shake? I usually use 1-2 servings unflavored protein (gnc whey i think) 8oz original almond milk, 1tbst cocoa powder (unsweetened) 2 tbsp PB2 #delicious at most I get 40g protein with a trivial amount of fat and best of all natural sugar!
  • My metabolism is pretty slow. I don't get hungry like I should and most of the time even the 1350 seems like a chore to consume, especially after the amount of water I drink. I don't eat a ton of meat so the majority of may calories come from fruits, nuts, cheese and whole grains. I know 2 lbs a week might not work for…
