Not sure that's up to my PT. I will be going for a session 3times p/week. I'm guessing it will be a progressive lifting program because in quite weak so we'll probably have to start with a clean bar without any weights added ... lol :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I am aware that my bodyfat is high to start with. But currently I'm skinnyfat. So I'd rather add some muscle first and then do a cut. Even if it does push me into the high bf zone. The reason I chose a year to do (obviously it will be evaluated along the way) is because I'm a woman and I read online (hahaha) that in…

How would you all recommend the diet change for a bulk though? 21, female, 5'2, 61.7kg. How much would I have to eat and what should my macro split be? (Can't believe I'm starting to count calories again...)
-
Nope. Nobody interested in exercise oddly enough. But that's one of the reasons I hired the PT. Like I said he has a sense of humor which is something we have in common.
-
You honestly think I would suggest it if I couldn't?? Lol
-
I may be weak....but I have my methods. One of which includes chasing a poor drunken dude away with a baseball bat...I thought he was a burglar...turns out he was just drunk and trying to open the wrong apartments door. oopsie.

I am a long distance student so no free gym. And I don't have equipment at home...otherwise I won't be picking up 25kilo bags of dog food to begin with. ;)
-
Cast iron pot, a good swing...and a well planned out grave site is a good option. ;) especially in south africa. Lol
-
Hahaha wow....that's so typical. ;)
-
Pffft. Who needs men. (no offence guys) I'm just not interested in love I guess.
-
Ahahaha! ...right..
-
I've been thinking about this as well. I'll have to discuss it with him. But I will need some guidance again. It's been years since I did a little lifting. And it only lasted a week. Lol. He'll need to help me out with form again.

Not in America. I actually have a completely different currency and converted it to us dollar. Also keep in mind this is the only gym in town. They ask what they want because they have no competition.

I just don't know if I'm going to be able to maintain that price. $150 a month is A LOT. That's the biggest factor right now that might keep me from continuing in the future.
-
Lol I know. I can't believe a website full of strangers convinced me to do this. What's this world coming to?
-
Meh. Lol

Bump?

Update : Sigh. So. I rejoined the gym. Hired another PT. With a goal of bulking and cutting. My first pt was a pain in the butt he was like a drill sergeant. This one actually has a sense of humor (something in common with me) so hopefully he'll make it easier for me and at least a little enjoyable. So if I don't enjoy the…

So basically, I should keep the bw exercises even if just to maintain bone and muscle (if I have any) even if it will make no difference to my physique. Okay then.
-
And so lifting heavy is the ONLY way to maintain muscle/bone?
-
I just don't understand how people say "if you don't use your muscle you'll lose it". I lift heavy things without it being weights. I carry around crates with 12litres of liquid multiple times a day from one room to another. I walk a lot. That's movement. That's using my muscle. Because muscle is used to move...isn't it??…
-
So I should get a wheel chair then??
-
Another question. Does walking burn muscle when in a deficit? Like just normal everyday walking around? Not for exercise.
-
I don't play for competition. I play for fun with my family and friends. I don't even know what you are talking about when you use tennis terms. To me it's literally a game of hitting the ball. Lol
-
Actually I don't lack too much in strength. (Certain parts of my body does) but I can still lift a 25kilo bag of dog food. I have strength, just not too much muscle.
-
It's not something new. I tried it and hated it. So yes. It really just is not my thing. Even these bodyweight exercises are a chore. As I said, I don't want sport to be a chore. It should be fun in order for me to stick with it. I've been walking, cycling and playing tennis for 2 years. And I still love it. In fact my…

Well I never strength trained while playing tennis. Then again, I never had a coach. I just play for fun. I don't want sports to be a chore you know. Also it's not a goal I already am skinnyfat lol. But well as you (and I) can see, it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it did. :w

Glad I could amuse you all
