Thank you all for the encouragement! Some days it's hard and some days it's the easiest decision I've ever made. Choosing my own health so I can be the mom and person that I know I need to be! It's worth it!

I am in! I need this! My goal will be no bedtime binge. I do try to allot some calories for a bedtime snack, but I think I want to eliminate it for now, and long term possibly just aim for a small healthy snack.

GREAT job on your loss so far! I'm just going to reiterate the others.... your calorie goal is very much too high for you from the sounds of things. I think you could go under 2000 for sure.
-
You look great, but if you're not comfortable and confident in it, you won't be happy!
-
My advice is to just do it!! Once I started, I realized how long I was just being lazy and making excuses. I was truly disgusted with myself and I was lying to myself for quite some time about that. You've taken the first step to admit you need to and want to lose, and now, you just have to do it. It's a daily decision for…

I agree, nothing more than a walk. Rest is important when you are sick. You're not going to gain, just keep eating like you have been and get well soon!

ditto the bridges!!

I don't eat until after!

I love the jalapeno hummus idea!! Yumm! :)

I also highly suggest a kettlebell for at-home strength training. Obviously can't get as heavy as you could with a bar at the gym, but I have seen major differences in muscle definition from doing kettlebell workouts.
-
I agree with the above... ditch the pills, up your water to allot more calories for food, and eat some high-volume, low-calorie options mixed with some lean protein. I think you will notice a difference!

Grace, I would have the glass with dinner if I were you :) One serving should fit into your calorie goal pretty easily, just watch the serving size!
-
I definitely have had good experienced with doing it up to 5 days ahead, it just depends what you are making! For things like this (salads and such), a little lemon juice can help keep it fresh and non-wilted.
-
You can do it!!! My May goals are: 10,000 average steps daily Complete 30 day shred and fitness blender's 4 week fat loss

First starting out, with the amount of weight you have to lose (according to your profile), 2lbs a week might happen in the beginning. 1 lb a week would be a little less aggressive though, and .5 lbs will be attainable toward the end.

I am not on my last 10 (I wish! lol) but as far as breaking plateaus, I agree with most of the above. Log as accurately as possible, LOTS of water, and try to watch your macros to make sure you're not just holding onto some water weight from having too high of a sodium intake for instance. Also double check your TDEE with…

If I didn't weigh daily (at least in the beginning) I wouldn't know how my body responds to high-sodium days vs. high-carb days, etc. Now I know that after a high-sodium day I will be about 2lbs heavier (water retention) for a couple days, for example. This has helped me make overall better choices and freak out less when…

TDEE according to the calculators for me is about 1575 (I'm 5'0" tall) but I actually noticed a little gain when I ate at maintenance for a couple months a while back. 1475 or so is probably more me, and by the time I get to my goal weight it will likely be lower yet.

I have the very same issue, and some bodies just can't get used to it. I have a super sensitive digestive tract and deal with this often. I have found that some are worse than others so I eat them strategically. Probiotic does help in general with digestion-related tasks so it wouldn't be a bad shot. If you've just started…

I am a US size 4, 161 lbs at 5'0" tall. Try to picture that for a second lol. Everyone is different! I have a lot of muscle and higher than average bone density (medically confirmed) and I am cool with it. I'm still loosing but I know that my goal weight might be lighter than what will look good on me, and I don't care if…

At my best a month ago, I've lost an average human leg! But since these past couple weeks, I'm down to a midsize microwave. My goal is to lose somewhere between the world's largest ball of tape and a 2 month old horse!

It all depends on you. I am a 5'0" tall sedentary 160 lb female. Based upon my TDEE, BMR, and weight loss goals, 1200 is generally not a bad goal for me (currently mine is set to 1270). But, for MOST people, 1200 is difficult and you could eat more and still lose. Personally 1200 doesn't starve me, but everyone is…

You look awesome, and I bet you feel so much better. I know first-hand how some of those fad diets can make you feel lol. Congratulations for your losses since coming here!!

What is your goal weight and how many calories are you eating at now? What about your fitness goals? Your workout routine sounds fine, but make sure your primary focus (if weight loss is your primary goal) is your food intake. Good luck! :) you'll do great!

Coke zero for the win!!

Good advice! You could also latch it to your shoe if that's an option.
