Fitbit accuracy

I have the fit bit charge but I'm wondering how accurate it is. I work I will sometimes work on a fast paced checkout, meaning a lot of arm movement, my Fitbit will count every couple of these movement as me step, surely this can't be accurate, as 4 arm movement while in a sitting position can't equal a full step, or can it? Should I take it off while I'm on the checkout?
Any advice?

If your worried about the step count being off, then maybe stick it in a pocket while your on checkout.0
